Are you gay?
"Let me see the bottle again" Violet says as she holds out her hand. JJ places the bottle in her hand and she carefully reads the label. "Ah okay, just a painkiller so it should be... here!" She says as she pulls out another bottle of the same medication. Lucas sticks his hand to the back of the shelf and pushes all the medication into his bag. "Dude, what if other people need it?" JJ asks Lucas with a disapproving look. "Lots of pharmacies everywhere, they'll find it somewhere." Lucas says as he picks up his bag and heads to the front of the store. JJ spots a big book of crosswords and grabs it and some pencils for Theo. All three of them get into the truck, Lucas makes JJ sit in the back with Violet so he can make sure she doesn't try to kill them or something.
"Granny, we're home!!" JJ shouts as he gets out of the truck. "Hello boys! Oh and girls." Dottie says as she spots Violet. "Hi ma'am, they told me that I might be able to stay here, I don't have much but I have the stuff in my bag, as well as I can cook, clean, I'm thoroughly skilled with my bow, I know how to garden and raise animals as well." Violet says as she sets her bow down on the ground trying to prove she isn't a threat. "Half of that won't be necessary sweetheart. You could help me cook and help the boys with their work, does that sound alright?" Dottie says with a big smile on her face. "That sounds wonderful, thank you so much ma'am" Violet replies, picking her bow up off of the ground. "Did you boys manage to get my medication?" Dottie asks the boys. Lucas opens up his bag and shows her around 30 bottles of it. "Oh my goodness sweetheart, you didn't have to get all that." She says, tears forming in her eyes as she sighs in relief.
They all walk inside and Theo immediately notices Violet "Who the hell are you" he asks as he glares at her. "My name is Violet." she says confidently. "Hmm, as long as you help out I don't care anymore." Theo says as he begins walking away "Oh Theo wait.." JJ says as he pulls the crossword and pencils from his bag, handing it to the old man. "Thanks kid." He says with a small smile on his face, he doesn't show it but he's secretly very appreciative of the gift. "Hey sweetheart!" Dottie says, gaining Violet's attention. "We got plenty of bedrooms! Just take your pick, the boys can show you their room if you'd rather be close to them." Violet thanks her and JJ and Lucas show her up the stairs to their bedroom, she chooses the bedroom next to theirs.
"Dinner time!" Violet shouts up the stairs, the boys and Theo all walk down to the kitchen and sit at the table. "So Violet.. Tell me about yourself." Theo asks as he eats his food "Oh um, I don't really have too much of a family, my parents have sent me to boarding school for a long time and I barely saw them. There was a small zombie outbreak in the school, a few people got bit and I ran. I've been by myself since." Violet said she didn't seem too sad about it, more annoyed and a bit relieved. "Damn, so I'm just collecting a whole bunch of kids with no families huh?" Theo said, earning a slightly confused look from Violet. JJ picks up on her look "Me and Lucas have been together since it started, my family was killed and he was on his own." JJ says, not wanting to overshare about Lucas' life and make him uncomfortable. "Have you guys seen them?.." Violet asked. "Seen about 3 myself, Me and Dottie were on vacation when we saw 'em." Theo says "Yeah me and Lucas have seen quite a few, they started gathering in our neighborhood and we ended up having to leave." JJ answers her question and she seems happy almost? "Thank god, I thought I was crazy. The news wasn't talking about it. I thought it was a cannibal or something." Violet said with a small laugh.
"Goodnight boys and Violet. Sleep well" Dottie said as she walked into her bedroom, shutting the door behind her. Everyone else headed to their room as well. "Should I shower? I feel gross." JJ said to Lucas as they laid on the bed next to each other "Yeah dude you stink." Lucas said with a laugh. JJ rolled his eyes and walked into the bathroom. Climbing in the shower underneath the warm water. "Don't take all the hot water" Lucas shouted through the bathroom door, JJ smiled and rolled his eyes 'God he's so cute' he thought to himself 'I mean like.. In a friendly way because it'd be weird if I liked him right? I mean he's really touchy with me and stuff and we cuddle every night but I don't even know if he's gay." JJ thinks to himself, getting lost in thought while his body goes into autopilot washing himself and his hair. He finally gets out of the shower and gets dressed, just sweatpants and a dark green t-shirt with a faded band logo. "Finally dude you took forever, I missed you." Lucas said as JJ exited the bathroom. JJ smiled and layed down in Lucas' arms. 'Should I just ask if he's gay? I mean it's not a strange question right?' JJ thinks to himself as he looks at Lucas.
"Are you gay?" he blurts out, without thinking.
