"It wasn't that long ago. Not in your life time or mine, but your grandparents remember." Steve paused fighting the urge to pull at the starched collar of his dress uniform. He'd been spending way too much time in soft casual clothes which made the stiffness of the material that much more noticeable.
"It's important that we remember the sacrifice of the Americans who died that day. They were like the men and women who are serving today." Again he paused, trying to gather his thoughts. "Everyone who serves is a hero and at the end of the day they all just want to go home to their families."
He took a deep breath then smiled. "Does anyone have any questions?"
