The instructions on the invitations were very clear, gifts were not expected and any money that might be spent on them could be donated to the givers charity of choice. In fact, all that was wanted or needed, was the invitee's presence at Heero Yuy's residence on or around 6:00pm. Dinner would be served and drinks provided.
The guest list was small, no more than a dozen names total, though it read like a who's who. There were no speeches or toasts to the host's health, just Heero simply thanking everyone for coming and more importantly for being his friend on every other day of the year.
