Nanashi nodded, his eyes on the captain's face. No one actually knew when his birthday was, but this was as good a day as any he supposed.
"Men in this unit, they fight. You got to pull your own weight now boy. Think you can do that? Can pilot a suit and fight with the rest of us?"
Again he nodded, he'd been training hard, learning to do everything that the other mercs did. He was ready. He knew he was. "Yes, sir."
"All right then." The captain jerked his head to indicate the nearest mobile suit even as the first sound of enemy fighters hit their ears. "Lets see what you got."
