Under Pressure
Wufei studied the rings laid out in front of him on the glass display case. The sapphire was beautiful and blue was a good color for Relena, but the pink diamond was more traditional even if her obsession with the color had faded quite a bit in the time they had been dating. The emerald was a princess cut and fit her in so many ways. On the other hand, the amethyst was a deep purple that had traditionally been associated with royalty.
When he'd married Meirin they had used a family heirloom as tradition dictated. He'd had no more say in selecting the Jewelry than he'd had in choosing his bride.
This time everything was different. His family would not be making all the preparations, it would be up to Wufei to select a ring and propose. Relena was his choice and he was head over heels in love with her which made it that much more nerve wracking. He thought she would say yes; hoped it with all his being. Now, he just needed to pick the perfect ring so he could determine the course of the rest of his life.
