" Why do you do what you do? You know, the whole hero thing?"
Peter pulled his mask above his nose. " Because it's the right thing to do. " He answered before taking a healthy bite out of a hot dog.
Wade looked down at the hot dogs he had. " You don't have to though. I mean, you could get killed doing this shit. No one would even care. This city would probably throw a parade"
Peter chuckled, " You might be right. Still doesn't change anything."
Wade looked at the Spider themed hero a bit shocked. " You'd really die for people who hate you?"
Spidey turned to look at Wade. "Well, I guess it wouldn't be ideal to die. But, when you can do something no one else can... it makes you responsible. I mean, if you choose to be that is."
Wade stared quietly at the youthful hero. Taking in every rip in his suit, and each bruise or bleeding injury. " That looks like it hurts."
Spider-man smiled and playfully elbowed the merc. " Relax, it may not be super charged like yours but I heal pretty fast myself. Now stop checking me out and eat your food before it gets cold."
"Hard not checking out someone with an ass like yours." Wade replied with a flirtatious tone.
Spidey's face turned beet red with blush and he nearly choked on his food. He coughed a couple times before his laugh was noticeable, " Don't make me spider punch you off this billboard."
" Oooh yeah, be mean to me. It makes my spidey- sense tingle." Wade said mimicking a fan girl.
"Oh shut up!" Peter said as he started shoving the merc. " You're so wierd!"

Wade sighed heavily as he looked upon his friend in bed. His face pale and still. He was connected to a machine that is now breathing for him. Not much else though seeing as JARVIS was more than capable of measuring vitals. "Come on Web head..." he muttered under his breath. "You can't die..."
Steve looked over his shoulder to see Wade and then turned back to Banner. "Did you finish analyzing the samples yet?"
"I'm sorry Steve, but this stuff you brought me...It isn't an antivenom. Right now, I'm not even sure what this stuff is. I'll need more time to study it. Didn't you talk to Tony?"
"He... didn't want to talk. He locked himself in the workshop. I was afraid that... that this might be why. " Steve sounded so defeated as he turned around to look at his son, comatose and hooked up to machines. "I just wish... there was more I could do to help."
Bruce sighed and looked back down at his notes. "Maybe... we should ask Fury. "
Steve didn't look back at the scientist, "Tony wouldn't want that... but, we might not have much of a choice at this point. I'll call him. Just get them everything they need."
" Is that wise?" asked Matt as he entered the room. Steve and Bruce looked at the well dressed man. " Mind if I make a suggestion?"

"I'm sorry to hear about your son's current condition." Fury said as he looked at him through the viewing window.
Tony shook his head, "Save it Nick. As far as I'm concerned this is only temporary. "
Fury turned his gaze to Deadpool who was sitting at Peter's bedside. "Hm, so why did you call me here?"
Steve wasted no time in holding out a file and a vile of the serum. "This is all we have been able to come up with so far. Do you think your agents can do much better?"
Fury turned to face Steve as he took the file and sample. "It would be easier if you allowed us to run more thorough tests on Peter. " he said looking up from the file to meet Tony's leer.
"Not gonna happen." Tony spoke with malice.
Fury raised a brow and handed the file back to Steve. Steve looked shocked by this but Fury spoke bluntly, " This trust with limitations, isn't working for me. We are on the same side. Remember that the next time you decide to waste my time."
" My son is dying Nick! Of course our trust has it's limits. Same side or not, I can't trust you." Tony spoke raising his voice.
Fury seemed unphased as he looked into the room where Peter lay. " Mhm... well your trust seems as though it's stretched thin enough as is."
Steve looked into the room to see Wade and quickly turned back to Fury. " Please Fury, just look at the serum. It could save Peter's life." He urged.
Fury looked to Cap who's desperation was clear on his face. " Alright, I'll do this... for you and Peter. Give me 24 hours to see what we come up with."
Tony punched the wall as Fury walked away. Steve put an arm around his husband and pulled him into a deep embrace. Tony gripped his husband's shirt. "Please tell me we didn't just make a huge mistake."
Steve stayed quiet and just held his husband. As he held him he turned to look at Matthew who was leaning against the wall beside Peter.

Matt walked over to Peter's bedside. "It's a bit strange being here now. "
Wade was leaning forward in his seat resting his chin on his fist. "Shouldn't you be in court or something..." he asked sounding annoyed.
"Why do I get the feeling you don't want me here?" Matt asked as he gently placed a hand on Peter's forehead before lightly tracing his face.
Wade stood up knocking his chair over and grabbed Matt by his shirt's collar. "BECAUSE I don't..." he answered his voice sounding menacing.
" Is this really necessary?" Murdock asked griping Wade's wrist tightly.
"I want you out of here... NOW!" Demanded the mercenary as he slammed Matt against the wall.
"HEY! There a problem here?" Tony asked as he walked into the room. Steve right behind him.
Wade growled but let Matt go. He straightened his tie before walking towards Tony and Steve. "Apologies, the is no problem. I'm on my way out." with that said Matt walked out of the room. Steve and Tony turned back to see Wade picking his chair up and sitting down without so much as a word.
