Summary
Deadpool has always carried a torch for Spider-man. Only recently has the spider themed hero really begun to take notice. Allowing Deadpool to team up with him on several occasions, and spending a few nights eating fast food on roof tops has only deepened these unspoken feelings. Well, mostly unspoken. It’s no secret that Deadpool has made many advances at Spider-man, but of course they are brushed off as pure jest. One night after a long day of work Spider-man takes Deadpool by surprise when a well kept secret is revealed.

Full of Something

"THE WALL CRAWLING MENACE KNOWN AS SPIDER-MAN, CONTINUES TO BURDEN THIS CITY WITH HIS VIGILANTE ANTICS. IF IT WASN'T BAD ENOUGH THAT HE HAD THIS NEW ANNOYANCE HELPING HIM COMMIT HIS UNJUSTIFIED ACTS, BUT HE NOW HAS THE DEVIL HIMSELF AT HIS SIDE!" Yelled J. Jameson on tonight's news. " THAT'S RIGHT, YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! THE WALL CRAWLING MENACE IS NOW PUTTING TOGETHER SOME SORT OF VIGILANTE TEAM OF MISFITS. ONE OF THEM BEING THE NOTORIOUS DEVIL OF HELL'S KITCHEN."

Tony turned off the television as he walked into the kitchen. "How can you watch that garbage Steve? That guy gives me migraines."

Steve gave a slight chuckle as he skimmed over a newspaper. "I guess it's just an old habit Tony. So what did Fury want this time?"

"OH, same old boring stuff as always, with the addition of the current status on Spider-man's condition." Tony walked over to the cupboard and pulled out a bag of mixed nuts.

Steve sat the paper down on the table, "What do they know Tony?"

"More accurately, is what don't they know? It's actually quite frustrating. I think I'm handling it well considering SHIELD has hacked my system." Natasha walked into the kitchen just after hearing this and Tony glanced at her as she tossed some files down onto the table.

"SHIELD didn't hack your system Tony, I gave them the information." She said as she crossed her arms and Clint walked into the kitchen behind her.

Steve reached over picking up the files and raised a brow before looking up at Tony. Clint sat at the kitchen table with Steve and put his feet up. "When were you gonna tell us that Peter was dying Tony?"

Tony rolled his eyes as he ripped the mixed nut bag open and popped a few of them into his mouth.

Steve continued looking through the files and stood up when he got to the part about the serum that Tony and Bruce had been working on. "Tony, what is the meaning of this?"

"You guys made a mistake going to SHIELD behind my back." Tony mumbled.

Clint scoffed, "At this rate, I'm thinking Pete made a mistake trusting us to begin with."

Nat walked up to Tony and snatched the snack bag from his hand, "Does he know?"

Tony glared at the red haired woman. "Fury, probably knows everything. Since when don't we trust each other? Aren't we suppose to be a team? Don't answer that, it's obvious we still have a lot of problems."

"Damn it Tony, for cryin out loud just tell us you warned Pete about what would happen?!" Clint yelled.

"YES! OF COURSE I DID, WE BOTH DID! IT WAS ALL WE COULD DO AT THE TIME! Peter knew the risks of the serum we gave him." Tony yelled, obviously upset. "You think I wanted to kill him?!"

The tension around the room was immense as Steve looked around. Clint was hiding his feeling behind a lax position and his sun glasses. Natasha on the other hand was much better at concealing her emotions. Tony looked completely distraught. "Tony, you can't give up yet...there has to be something more we can do to help Peter. According to these files, Peter is going to get a lot better before he starts to drastically decline. You still have time, we need to take advantage of this."

Clint stayed silent his focus downward and Nat took a few steps back. "We only took this information to Fury in hopes that they might be able to find something you and Bruce overlooked. You no longer have time to try and figure this out on your own. If what that report says is true...you and Bruce need to start working with SHIELD ASAP to find a better result. Peter trusted us and I am not going to sit idly by while your pride and ego gets in the way of potentially saving his life."

Matt looked down from a fire escape as a group of armed men burst from a building and started running. They were carrying duffel bags of stolen property. "I'm going in." Matt jumped down from the fire escape and took out two men cutting off 2 more from following the rest of the group. 2 men from behind Matt stopped while the rest made off to the cars. The four remaining men surrounded Matt slowly ready to fight.

The men that made it to their getaway vehicles took off hearing the screams of the men that stayed behind. "GO GO GO!" One of the thugs yelled and the two cars peeled out.

As the two cars pulled into view Deadpool grinned. "Alright I'm goin for the gold!" Deadpool kneeled behind the scope of a high powered sniper rifle.

"Just don't kill anyone Wade...or no more guns on Patrol." Peter said over the communication system.

Wade had his sites on one of the drivers just previous to this comment. "Yeah, yeah, yeah...I got it. You don't gotta remind me every time ya know." Emergency Responders weren't too far away. (We should give them somethin to do.) "Good idea!" Wade pulled the trigger and took out the front driver's side tire of the second car and it began to swerve violently until they crashed into some portable restrooms near a construction site. Police personnel surrounded the vehicle but the men inside weren't ready to give up and pulled their guns as they scrambled to get out of the car.

Deadpool shot the guns from their hands before they could do anything and moved his scope towards the first car. "OOOH nice view. You know Spidey, you're setting a bad example for the kiddies by car surfing."

Peter rolled his eyes, " Okay, I'll be sure to add a disclaimer to my suit that says 'Don't do this at Home'." Peter smirked when he heard Wade cut another joke about that not fitting with his look now that he runs with a daredevil and a mercenary. "I got work to do." Peter hopped onto the side of the car and knocked on the window before waving. Effectively startling the men inside. As they scrambled to point their guns at him he quickly maneuvered to the hood of the car and punched the windshield in. "Oops, you guys didn't need that right? Uh oh!" Peter jumped out of the way and crawled around the vehicle as a spray of bullets flew out all around it.

When the gunfire stopped one by one Peter started disarming the men and webbing them out of the car to light posts as the car sped through the city. With only the driver left Peter felt pretty confident. "Tsk, Too easy. You should pull over, you don't stand a chance." The man had a crazy look in his eye and he suddenly swerved the car towards a couple who were crossing the street up ahead. Everything slowed down in that instant for Peter. As if each moment was happening in the slow pace of a heart beat.

The outcome of this was Peter standing in front of the stunned couple holding the car straight up in the air by the grill as if it weighed nothing. Peter couldn't even feel the weight of the car he held, but as time caught up to him he slammed the car down damaging it so badly that it would no longer run. He turned to face the petrified driver who now had his hands up in surrender and trembling.

As the sirens caught up to them the driver was webbed up and left next to the car as Peter swung off.

Peter was pacing on a rooftop about 50 meters away trying to figure out what he had just done or how he had just done it, when Daredevil landed on the roof behind him. "Spider-man are you--"

"I'm fine." Peter answered quickly. Too quickly he realized. "I guess I just didn't like the situation I put that couple in is all."

Just before Daredevil could get another word in the roof access door bursts open as Deadpool kicks it down. "HOLY FRIGGEN SHIT GUYS! DID YOU GET A LOOK ON THAT DUDES FACE! PRICELESS!"

The two heroes look at Deadpool a bit stunned but, shake off the initial surprise at his antics. "I have to admit Spider-man, that was impressive. I don't think I have ever seen you move quite that fast before." Daredevil said but, his serious expression never left his face.

"EXACTLY how much spider strength are you holding back on us huh?" Deadpool asked with a smirk.

Peter was blushing behind his mask. Truth be told he had no idea how he pulled off what he just did. It's not like he couldn't lift a car or move fast, but stopping a moving car in it's tracks the way he did just didn't seem physically possible for him. Especially not in the amount of time or distance he had allotted between he and the couple that were in danger. It all happened in the blur of an instant. Here he was receiving praise for something he didn't understand, nor knew he was even capable of. "Heh, yeah...spider-strength."

"Something wrong Spidey?" Deadpool asked hearing the uncertainty in Pete's voice.

Peter looked at Deadpool and then Daredevil. Concern was clear on at least one of their faces. Peter sighed, he knew he couldn't lie around Daredevil because he would know, but would he keep it in confidence? Was it worth it to even lie at this point? Peter was in trouble, and now he was putting two people in danger because of it. Maybe they both deserved to know...but would they respect his choice to continue being Spider-man?

" Hello? Earth to Web-Head! You can have your inner monologue later. I'm starved. Let's grab some victory grub." Deadpool chimed in.

Peter looked up at the other two red clad heroes and shrugged. " Sorry, I am gonna cut early tonight. Not that I don't like the shady food carts you treat us to but I do have some stuff to take care of."

" What could possibly be more important than street vendor hot dogs?" Deadpool asked as he turn to Daredevil for backup only to find he was hopping off the roof to the nearest fire escape. "Guess he also had more important stuff to do."

"Sorry Deadpool, rain check though." Spidey said before he shot a web and went swinging through the city.

" Uh sure..." Wade answered, even though Spidey was long out of ear shot by now. As he watched Spider-man swing away his phone went off alerting him of a new text. Wade pulled his phone out and checked to see who it was. " It's an address. Guess DD wants to meet up for dinner after all." Wade said with a smirk.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You're joking right? Have you completely lost your mind Matt?! How could you invite that psycho here?!" Foggy yelled in a panic.

Matt smiled, "Relax, he isn't going to hurt you. "

"How do you know?! You said yourself all the Avengers hate the guy for killing people. He's unstable Matt." Foggy replied as he gathered his things in a hurry. "I don't have a death wish, so I'll catch you later. "

With that said, Foggy left and slammed the door behind himself as he raced off. Matt chuckled and shook his head. "You coming inside now or do you plan on staying on the fire escape all night?"

The window slid open and Wade crawled inside wearing a hoodie and jeans with a baseball cap. " Your boyfriend seems a bit up tight."

Matt grabbed a couple beers from the fridge. " He's not my boyfriend he's my partner."

Wade walked over and took one." Yeah that's what I said. Don't get hung up on titles." Wade said with a smirk as he cracked open his drink against the counter top.

" Buisness partner. Anyway, getting to why l asked you to come over. " Matt said as he opened his own. " Not quite sure how to say this so I'm just going to say it. Spider-man is dying."

" Dying? I mean Hawkeye said he'd be fine. Surely he can get over a spider bite."

Matt shook his head." The spider that bit him is the same one that gave him his powers." Wade stayed quiet but he had a serious glare on his face. " A few months ago, Black Widow approached me at my office. She asked me to keep an eye out for a young man, who would be moving into my apartment complex. It wasn't until a couple weeks later I figured out the young man was actually Spider-man."

" Wait a minute... Spider-man lives here?" Wade asked a bit shocked. " I thought he was an Avenger now. Shouldn't he be at the tower living the high life?"

" Black Widow never told me too much on the subject. After she asked me to do this all she was interested in was the frequency of his heart condition. Which continues to worsen overtime. Spider-man is reaching his limit and I no longer trust the Avengers or Fury to do what's best for him."

"So why tell me any of this? It's not like I can help his situation at all."

(Yeah, we're pretty useless.)

[Agreed.]

Matt shook his head. "You can help Wade. In fact, you have both the Avengers and SHIELD on their toes. Which is something I think we desperately need right now. We need to show them, that if they want access to Spider-man. They has to go through us."

Deadpool chuckled and walked over to the dark brown leather sofa and let himself plop down onto it. " Shit...wonder what they did to you, to get you this invested. Alright, you got my attention. What do you need me to do?"

Matt took a quick swig of his beer and leaned his back against the fridge. "Nothing you haven't already been doing. Just now, we need to let Spider-man know exactly what's going on. No more of this espionage bull that everyone is doing."

Deadpool raised a brow at this, " Everyone? Sheesh, and I thought the kid was unpopular. So when are we gonna do this?" A knock at the door made Wade fumble his beer, only just barely catching it before it spilled. Still it ended up fizzing up and over flowing a bit onto his pants. "Oh..."
