Chapter 3
-------------the next day-------------
"Rustyyyyy!!!" Jack yelled as he ran to his boyfriend, who sat on top of one of the many hills in the park they were in
"What babe?" The red kelpie asked as he turned around and watched his boyfriend make his way up the hill and towards him
"Bluey and MacKenzie...huff... their dating, " the jack Russell terrier said as he attempted to catch his breath. This caused rusty's ears to perk up and snap his head to his boyfriend
"What!?!? When did they start dating?" He asked, getting up and running to his boyfriend
"This morning, MacKenzie called me as I was on my way here and told me everything. Like how bluey confessed, them kissing, and them going to the movie to top it off, " he said, explaining it to rusty.
"It's about time they became a thing, I never thought it was gonna happen at this rate," Rusty said, laughing
"I never thought it would happen, to be honest, I wonder what pushed her to confess," Jack asked as he looked at rusty, who now was thinking the same thing
"Yeah, me too....wanna call her and ask?" The kelpie asked with a sly smirk on his face as he looked at Jack
"Oh definitely," Jack responded, chuckling as Rusty pulled out his phone and started to dial bluey's number

Bluey was sitting I her room, peaceful reading her newest book, when all of a sudden she heard her phone go off showing rusty's contact on the screen. She quite literally throws her book off to the side (instantly regretting it) and picks up her phone, and answers the call
"Hey rusty! What's up? I thought you and Jack had a date today at the park?" She asked, confused as to why he called her
"Oh, we do! He is actually here with me right now, "
"HI bluey!!" Jack yelled, while on bluey's end, it sounded muffled
"HI jack!" She responded, laughing. "Soooo, what's up, you two?" She asked again, trying to figure out why they called
"Oh, we wanted to ask how yesterday went with MacKenzie?" Rusty asked with a smirk on his face
The blue heeler could only blush at the mention of her boyfriend and how things went yesterday. "It was great! Yeah, hehe..." she chuckled nervously as she scratched the back of her neck
"Oh yeah? nothing special happened, " Rusty asked, trying to see if she would break
"Well..." she started. "Me and MacKenzie are kinda together now," she said, as her blush grew and grew by each second
"There it is," Rusty said, with the biggest smirk plastered on him face. This resulted in Jack Slapping his boyfriend
"Rusty!" Jack yelled, give rusty a death glair
"What?!" Rusty said while trying to protect himself from Jack's slaps. Bluey, on the other hand, went from shocked to concerned, to laughing so hard she couldn't breathe as she listened to the two argue.
"God, what would I do without you two?" the blue heeler said, whipped a tear away from her eye
"I don't know, not be with MacKenzie?" She heard Jack say
"Jackkkk!! Give me my phone back!" Rusty said in the background
"No! You lost phone privileges, " Jack said with a chuckle. "This will teach you to not pick on bluey... babe, what are you doing? Why are you cro- ohhh don't you da- AHHH BABE!" This was all that bluey heard on the phone. Trying to figure out what happened, she guessed that rusty tackled Jack
"RUSTY KELPIE IM PRAYING TO GOD THAT YOU DID NOT JUST POUNCE ON ME!" Bluey's suspicions were now confirmed. She couldn't hold it in anymore as she started to laugh uncontrollably
"Sorry about that bluey, rusty thought it would be a good idea to try and POUNCE on me to get his phone back," the terrier said, glaring at his partner when he finished talking
"It's all good, Jack. I will admit, it was quite funny to listen to, " bluey said in between breaths
"I'm glad you found some humor out of it," he said, laughing. When all of the sudden, he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist as a kiss was planted on his cheek. "Yes, babe?" Jack said, turn to rusty
"I'm sorry," the red kelpie said, wearing his best puppy dog eyes
"God, what am I going to do with you?" Jack said, booping rusty on the nose. Earning a laugh from the kelpie
Just as bluey was about to say something to the two love birds, she heard a knock at her front door along with a text from MacKenzie saying he was there
"Hey Jack, I uhhhh... I got to go, " bluey said as she started to get ready to see MacKenzie
"It's all good bluey, go see MacKenzie," Jack said, laughing
"Har har har," the heeler said, laughing silently before hearing another knock. "Okay, I seriously need to go. Bye, Jack! Bye rusty!" She said as she ran out of her room
"Bye-bye blue!" To two boys yelled before ending the call
-----------back at the park------------
After the call ended, Jack and Rusty sat comfortably in eachothers embrace
"I'm glad they finally got together," Rusty said, breaking the silence as he looked at his lover
"Me too... just like us" Jack said as he quickly gave rusty a kiss
"I love you,"
"I love you too, you big dork," Jack said before they shared one more kiss looking off into the distance, sharing a loving embrace between the two
