Chapter 33
"So...." Chris starts, rubbing a hand up and down Sebastian's arm as they cuddle up together in bed. "Names for the twins." He says. "What do you suggest?"
There's only a few months now until the twins will be born, and they haven't yet picked out names for either of them. So that's what they've got to do now, since everything else for the twins has already been taken care of.
Although, they've still got to finish up the twins nursery. But that's almost finished, and all they really need to do is set up the cribs and buy a few more things. And put up the shelf for all the plush toys and baby books for the twins.
Thankfully they've already finished painting the walls a sky blue with white fluffy clouds. Like the walls in Andy's room on Toy Story. Sebastian was adamant on the walls in the boys nursery being painted like that. But at the same time, Chris wasn't about to object.
Sebastian shifts around in Chris's hold to look up at him better. He's not really thought of any names for the twins yet. It seems as though baby names have completely slipped his mind while he's been busy worrying about everything else.
"I haven't actually thought of any." He admits. "I've been too busy worrying about everything else to even think of any names."
Chris nods. He too hasn't been worrying about names for the twins yet. He does however have a few names in mind, but for the most part, baby names haven't been his main priority at the moment. Especially when they've had to tend to Sabrina every night as of late.
"Same." Chris agrees. "Though I do have a few names in mind."
"Like what?" Sebastian asks.
Chris shrugs. "Malcolm, Alexander, Tommy, Daniel, Tobias...."
"Okay...." Sebastian nods, resting his head on Chris's chest.
He grows quiet. Deep in thought about names for boys, or unisex names. He does quite like the ones Chris has suggested, Malcolm especially, but it wouldn't hurt to have more options.
"What about Jack? Johnny?" He suggests. "Or maybe Rowan, Mathew, Michael, Eren?"
On second thought, maybe not Johnny.... Maybe naming their kid after Johnny Depp, the one actor and musician he has a huge crush on isn't such a good idea.... The name is nice enough though, but Sebastian isn't sure if he'd be comfortable naming his son after his celebrity crush - one who he'd gladly have sex with if asked, and if Chris was okay with it.
"I like Jack." Chris says.
"I do too." Sebastian nods. "So Jack for one of them?"
Chris nods. "Yup." He says. "Jack Daniel Evans? How does that sound?"
Sebastian looks up at him. "Jack Daniel?" He asks. "Chris... I don't know about that...."
While the name is cute, Sebastian's not sure how he feels about his son being named after an alcohol brand. And he just knows that that's why Chris had suggested that specific name.
"What? I think it sounds cute." Chris says.
"I do too, but we're not naming our kid after a brand of alcohol." Sebastian sighs.
Chris is visibly disappointed at that, but nods anyway. "No harm in suggesting it." He says. "Okay, so... what about Jack Rowan Evans?"
"Jack Rowan Evans..." Sebastian trails off, testing out the name. "Sounds good. I like it."
Chris smiles. "Great. One down, one to go." He says. "What do you suggest?"
Sebastian's quiet. Trying to figure out a name for the other twin. He quite likes Malcolm like Chris had first suggested. And he quite likes the name Tobias.
"I like Malcolm." He decides. "Malcolm Tobias Evans?"
"I like it." Chris nods. "So we have Jack Rowan Evans and Malcolm Tobias Evans."
Sebastian nods. Satisfied with the names they've chosen for the twins. Little Jack Rowan Evans and little Malcolm Tobias Evans. Little Jack and Malcolm. All they need to do now is figure out which kid gets which name, but they can figure that part out once the twins are finally born.
Chris shifts around so he's kneeling on the bed facing Sebastian's stomach. He lifts up Sebastian's shirt, and starts leaving little kisses along his bump.
"Hello, little Jack and Malcolm." He says, rubbing his hands around Sebastian's bump. "You're mommy and I can't wait until the both of you are here."
Sebastian smiles as he watches Chris leave kisses on his stomach and talk to the twins. He absolutely loves it when Chris talks to the twins. He can't wait until the twins are born, and to see Chris caring for the twins.
"I think you've woken them up." Sebastian says, as he feels the twins kicking and moving around.
"I can't wait until they're born." Chris says, leaning in to kiss Sebastian.
Sebastian smiles into the kiss. He too can't wait, and there's only a few months to go now until they're born.
"Oh, I need to pee." Sebastian says suddenly, as he gets up off the bed and heads off towards the bathroom. But he stops, before turning back to Chris. "And... I'm hungry." He adds. "Can you get me some food? I'm craving some chips."
Chris laughs a little, shaking his head as he gets up off the bed. "Sure." He says. "You just go pee, and I'll get you something to eat."
"Thank you." Sebastian smiles, before he's retreating off into the bathroom to pee.
And when he returns back to their room, he finds Chris sitting there with a large bag of salt and vinegar chips, and a bottle of water.
Exactly what he needs.
******
"Sabrina's crying again." Sebastian sighs, sitting up in bed as he and Chris are once again woken up in the middle of the night by Sabrina.
He looks over at Chris, finding him just waking up, grunting a little as he sits up in bed.
"Why cant she just sleep through one fucking night?" Chris sighs. "Especially when I've got to go to a meeting tomorrow."
"Because that's asking for too much." Sebastian says as he gets out of bed, slipping on an over sized hoodie. "Come on."
They'd both love at least one night of uninterrupted sleep before the twins are born, but at this rate, that doesn't seem very likely to happen at all. Sabrina doesn't seem to want her parents to get as much sleep as they possibly can the closer they get to the twins due date.
And unfortunately she wants both of her parents. Which means that Chris cant go tend to her by himself and leave Sebastian to get as much rest as he can.
They're just glad that there's no issues from Taissa and Emma. they've been nothing but helpful. Well, Emma has really. Taissa on the other hand hasn't been helping as much as she could, compared to Emma, but it's still something and she has been helping. Just not as much as Emma has been trying to.
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Chris asks as he and Sebastian walk over to Sabrina's bed once they reach her room.
"W-want mommy!" She says through her tears.
Chris nods as he lifts her out of bed and walks over to Sebastian.
"You think you can hold her?" He asks, as Sabrina makes grabby hands towards Sebastian.
Sebastian frowns, looking down at his stomach. With the size that his stomach is now, he's not so sure that he can. Especially not when Sabrina is quite big for her age.
"I don't think so." He frowns. "As much as I really want to, I don't think I can."
And hearing Sabrina whine in protest, that breaks him. He'd do anything to hold his little girl in his arms. But with the size of his stomach right now, he's not sure he can manage to do that.
Chris adjusts his hold on Sabrina, before he's wrapping an arm around Sebastian and pulling him in closer to him.
Sebastian rests his head on Chris's shoulder as he runs his fingers through Sabrina's hair, trying to soothe his little girl. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work very well as she continues to whine in protest and wriggle around in Chris's hold.
She wants to be held by Sebastian, not Chris, and she won't stop fussing until she gets what she wants. To be held by her mother.
So the only compromise to that that they can figure out, is to take her back to their own room and bed. Where she's quick to move as close as she possibly can get to Sebastian. And Sebastian holds her just like she wanted him to, where thankfully, she finally begins to calm down.
Unfortunately though, Sabrina's crying has woken up both of her older sisters, and they both come into their parents' room. Climbing into bed with them so the entire Evans clan are together for the night.
Even Dodger wanders onto the room not long after, carrying his plush lion in is jaws. He climbs up onto the bed too, but stays down the end of the bed out of the way.
Only their three cats are missing now, but both Sebastian and Chris doubt the cats will come in. They usually stick to themselves nowadays. Except for Nala, who sometimes sleeps between their pillows at night or under the blankets. Muffy and Sooty on the other hand, they tend to both sleep outside most nights, or in the living room when it's too cold outside.
Though, Chris is glad none of the cats are in here too, especially Muffy. That cat still hates him unless he's got food to give him. And Sebastian still doesn't believe him when he says that ginger furball is out to get him.
"Looks like we've got everyone in here for a sleepover." Sebastian says, watching as both Taissa and Emma get under the blankets.
Chris nods. "Everyone but the cats." He says. "And that's fine by me."
Only... just as he's finished his sentence, they hear the sound of small paws sprinting into the room, before jumping onto the bed. It may be a ginger cat, but it's just Nala, not Muffy. And Chris is definitely glad about that.
"I think you spoke too soon, Chris." Sebastian laughs a little, trying not to wake Sabrina who's just managed to fall asleep.
"Guess so...." Chris sighs, watching as Nala curls up next to Dodger. "At least she's staying down the end of the bed by Dodger. And at least Muffy and Sooty aren't in here too."
He looks over towards the door, expecting to find the ginger cat and the black-and-white cat running into the room. Fortunately, there's no sign of them. Yet....
He just hopes that they don't end up coming in here anytime soon. He's not so sure if he'll be able to get any sleep if they do come in here. It's likely that Muffy won't let him sleep at all.
Sebastian smiles at him, shaking his head. "Just try and get some sleep, Chris." He says. "Don't forget you've got that meeting in the morning."
"Yeah, yeah. I know." Chris sighs. Of course he won't forget about the meeting in the morning. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight, Chris."
