Ocean Wakes Up
Ocean woke up sweating. Her hair was plastered to her forehead and her blanket was wrapped dangerously around her. The dream she had wasn't exactly a nightmare, despite the fact she had DIED in it. She always thought if you watch yourself die in a dream you died in real life, but that appeared to not be the case here.
The dream she had was odd. She and the rest of the St. Cassian Chamber choir had been going to do their performance for the fair. After the performance, they decided to ride some rides. It was a fair after all. After a few other terrifying rides, and her favorite, bumper cars, they decided to ride "The Cyclone". Constance's favorite. The front axel broke, however, leaving the choir falling to their inventible deaths. The dream didn't stop there though. They were met by this odd novelty machine in a warehouse. The machine said he could bring one person back to life- so they had to sing about their lives and why they should come back. The dream didn't sit right with Ocean though. It left her feeling uneasy and confused. The timing of this dream couldn't be any worse, she had choir practice today after school.
Despite all of that something that really bothered Ocean was the way she behaved in her dream. She was an asshole to her fellow choir members. The people she was meant to call her friends. The things she said about everyone, even her best friend, were horrible. Was this how she really treated people? She thought about these 17 years, had she really been this stuck up and rude to everyone? Had she always never cared for those around her?
She started to spiral. She had to change even if it killed her, and face it, it probably would. She didn't handle change well, everything needed to be the same, on schedule. If things changed then she lost control. The spiral kept getting worse and worse.
Ocean could feel a meltdown arising, and with that, she knew today was going to be one hell of a day.
