Help out your author! (Not a chapter)
Hi everyone! It's your author here and I just wanted to talk about some things and get your opinion. And just so you know the next chapter is almost ready to be posted Im haft way finished with the draft so it should be out soon.
So first thing I have an idea of another fic but do to what it about I would have to do a lot of research meaning I might not be able to update this fic as much as I would like to. I do try a research stuff before putting it in my fic's just to make sure I don't get anything wrong. For example, my fic 'Headphones' is mainly going to be focused on the topic of autism. This topic is very important to me so Ive been doing research all this week for the second chapter just to make sure I can give a good portrayal of it because I do take this topic very seriously.
Now the other fic Im think of creating would be about something I have recently taken interest in. In my free time I like to look into how the brain works and how its affected by different things, specifically different forms of trauma. And one thing Ive got very interested in recently is DID (dissociative identity disorder) and I really want to write a story about it but this would mean I would have to take time to do more research, meaning it might take me awhile to update. I usually work on my fic's two at a time so I would still be updating just maybe not as fast.
Second, sometimes when I write fanfic's I will re-write them into stories detached from the fandom. Change the characters names, add characters, take some away, maybe change some of the story line to kinda just detach it a little more. And very slowly I have been doing this with this fic and I was wondering if you guys would want to read that. It wouldn't be exactly the same so it might feel as if you're reading something different. If you guys don't want to see it I wont post it but if you do I will post it for you guys to read it.
And this kinda follows the idea of that but would you guys want me to post my other original stories. I have a lot of original works that I find very interesting and having a platform like this gives me the opportunity to share them, it's just more of a thing that I don't know if you guys would want to read that so thats why im asking.
