Maybe if she noticed the man walking toward her then she could've saved her own life.
A knife entered and exited through her abdomen. 100% fatality rate. She fell onto the floor. Andrea not too far behind her running to her immediately.
"Carina? Carina sorella alzati! Per fovore!" He screams for his sister to get up. "HELP, HELP." Maya runs up behind him. Seeing her girlfriend bleeding out.
"Please I- I don't want to die im not ready." She cries.
"You're not going to die baby just- just hang on." Maya tries to stop the blood but there's so much blood too much blood. "You're going to be alright and- and we're going to be so so happy." Carina starts to close her eyes and her hands ease against Andreas. "Woah- just- just keep your eyes open for us."
The paramedics are on scene.
"She's flatlining."
"Ok start cardioversion." Teddy says. Teddy was a long time friend of Carina. A friend who wasn't interested in attending her funeral. "1,2,3" Carina's chest inflates. "Again. 1,2,3." Her chest inflates on last time but her heart doesn't start. The entire room is silent, in shock that they've just lost a friend.
The doctors tried to revive her. They tried their very best.
"8:21." A nurse says. "Time of death was.. 8:21"
"I'll tell them." Teddy offers.
She walks outside and is met by Maya and Andrea.
"She was a great woman and-"
"What do you mean was?" Andrea interjects. "She- she is a great woman because she survived she- she saved lots of lives and you all saved hers because- cause she made it. Right? Right?" He voiced is laced with grief. "She IS a great woman because she IS alive."
"Andrew I'm sorry. We tried to save her but she was dead upon arrival her injuries were fatal." Teddy pushes through the tears.
"This can't be happening we- we were happy she'd just got her green card." Maya falls into Teddys arms. Screaming while Andrea stands frozen trying to process how he'd just lose his other half.
