Chapter 6
"Hey sweetie, how did football practice go?" Bernie asked as she came downstairs just as Elaina came through the door.
"I don't want to talk about it." Elaina snapped as she kicked off her trainers, threw her bag on the floor and ran upstairs.
"What's Up with her?" Serena asked as she came out of the kitchen.
"God knows. I only asked her how football practice went."
"I'll go and talk to her before I get a shower." Serena kissed Bernie softly on the lips and went upstairs. "Elaina,sweetheart, what's wrong?"
"Go away Mum, please."
"If somethings wrong with you I want to know. Please baby open the door."
"I can't."
"Of course you can. I'm your Mum. I love you." Elaina slowly unlocked her door and as soon as she saw Serena standing there she threw her arms around her Mum and started to cry. "Hey what's all these tears for."
"I said something stupid to Beth." Elaina sobbed as she let go of Serena and sat on her bed.
"What did you say to her baby?" Serena asked as she sat beside her daughter on the bed.
"We were talking about our families and how much you and mom love each other. To cut a long story short I sort of in so many words told her that I liked her."
"And then what happened,sweetheart?"
"She ran out of the changing rooms like her arse was on fire. I've blown it Mum. She obviously doesn't like me as much as I like her." Elaina sobbed in Serena's arms.
"Oh baby I'm so sorry."
"Mum."
"Yes darling."
"Am I ugly?"
"No." Serena said as she put Elaina's face in her hands. "You are absolutely beautiful. Just like your Momma."
"I've made a pratt of myself. I am dreading going to football next week."
"Don't let this stop you doing what you love doing baby. All you have ever wanted to do is play football."
"I know it is. But I really like Beth Mum." Elaina cried as she rested her head on Serena's shoulder.
"I know you do, baby. Looks like someone wants to talk to you" Serena said as Elaina phone pinged with a message.
"It's Beth. What shall I do?"
"Answer the poor girl. I leave you in peace. You know where I am if you need me."
"Thanks Mum. I love you."
I love you." Serena said as she kissed Elaina on the cheek and left the bedroom.

I'm sorry I ran away earlier. Xx

It's ok. I'm sorry if I scared ya. Xx

You erm. You didn't scare me. I need to talk to you. Can you meet me in the park?. Xx
Elaina
Of course I can. Xx
Beth
OK. I'll see you about 15 minutes. Xx

Elaina smiled as she put her phone in her pocket and practically tan downstairs.
"Put my dinner in the oven Mom. I'm going out." Elaina said as she put on her jacket.
"Where are you going,love?"
"Just out Mom. I won't be long." Elaina smiled as she kissed Bernie on the cheek and ran out of the house.
"That feels better." Serena said as she walked into the kitchen and put her arms around Bernie's waist from behind.
"You smell gorgeous." Bernie turned around and kissed Serena.
"You are just gorgeous." Serena smiled as she stroked Bernie's cheek softly.
"So are you." Bernie kissed Serena again. The kiss became more passionate. "I think we should leave it there or this dinner will be no good. We will finish it tonight."
"We'd better."
"Give the kids a shout babe dinner is ready now."
"Ok. CAMERON.MACY. ELAINA DINNER." Serena shouted as she laid the table.
"Elaina wants her dinner, putting it in the oven. She's gone out."
"Where's she gone?"
"She didn't say. She just ran out of here with a smile on her face."
"I think I know where she has gone."
"Where?" Bernie asked as she passed Serena the dinners to put on the table.
"I think she might have gone to see Beth."
"Elaina isn't in her room." Cameron said as he and Macy sat at the table.
"We know she's gone out,love" Serena said as she and Bernie sat down.
"How was your two's day at school?" Serena asked as they began to eat.
"Fine." Cam said with a mouthful of food.
"Mummy."
"Yes darling."
"I've got a new book today at school. When we've had tea, and I've been in the bath, can I read it to you please?" Macy asked.
"Of course you can,baby." Serena smiled as they carried on eating dinner.
"Thanks for coming." Beth said with a smile as Elaina sat beside her on the bench.
"I'm just glad you're speaking to me."
"Why shouldn't I?"
"Well you did look rather shocked earlier."
"I wasn't shocked. Well I was kinda shocked. But that's only because I thought there would be no way that you could ever like me as much as I like you."
"Are you kidding me?" Elaina turned and looked at Beth. "You are absolutely beautiful. How couldn't not feel the same."
"I've liked you from the first moment I saw you. I have always known that I have liked girls. But I never told my parent's."
"Would they go mad?"
"There's something I need to tell you."
"What's that?" Elaina said as she squeezed Beth's hand.
"I'm erm. I'm adopted. My Mum gave me away as soon as I was born."
"Have you got good adopted parents?"
"Yes they are amazing. When I got home today I sat them both down and told them that I was gay."
"How did they take it?"
"They just said as long as I was happy then they were."
"Thank God for that."
"There is another thing though."
"What."
"They want to know if you want to come round for dinner one night."
"I'd love to."
"Good. So erm are you gonna kiss me or what?"
"I sure am." Elaina smiled as she kissed Beth gently.
