Chapter 7
Elaina smiled as they drew apart. “I've wanted you to kiss me from the first moment I saw you.” Beth said as she gently stroked Elaina’s face.
“So have i. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.”
“Have you ever been with a girl before?” Beth asked as she rested her head on Elaina’s shoulder.
“No. I have only just told my parents how I feel. When you said your parents wanted me to come for tea.”
“Yes.”
“Well my Mum has asked the same thing.”
“We can always do both can’t we?”
“Of course. Only if you're sure.”
“Of course I'm sure. I would love to meet your Mum’s.” Beth looked up at Elaina. “I want to meet the ladies who raised such a beautiful girl.” Beth smiled as she kissed Elaina softly.
“Elaina’s been a while.” Serena asked as she sat down beside Bernie on the sofa.
“Perhaps they have got a lot to talk about.”
“That or she is upset and she is sat somewhere crying her little heart out.” Serena said with tears in her eyes.
“Ring her if you want and put your mind at rest.”
“I think I will.”Serena sighed as she picked up her phone just as the front door opened. “Elaina is that you?” Serena asked as she jumped off the sofa.
“Yes. Sorry I've been so long Mum. The time just got away from us.” Elaina smiled as she sat on the bottom step to take off her trainers.
“So I take it everything went OK?”
“It went more than OK Mum. It was amazing. Beth is amazing.”
“Come through and tell me and Mum what's happened then.” Bernie called out from the lounge. Elaina followed Serena into the lounge.
“Well tell us what's happening love.”
“Give her chance to sit down Bernie.”
“You want to know what's happening don't you?”
“Cause I do but.”
“If you both shut up I'll tell you.” Elaina smiled as she sat on the coffee table in front of them both.
“Sorry sweetheart.” Serena smiled as she took Elaina's hands in hers.”Tell us.”
“Well after I thought I had made a big fool of myself after football practice. Beth went home and told her parents all about me. Beth is adopted, you know.”
“Is she?”
“Yes and she has great parents.”
“That's nice.”
“Anyway to cut a long story short she erm she likes me as much as I like her.”
“That's brilliant darling. Isn't it Bernie?”
“Fabulous. So is Beth officially your girlfriend now?.”
“I think so. Her parents want me to go for tea. So Beth is going to ask if I go tomorrow. And I wondered if Beth could come over here for Sunday dinner to meet you two. If that's alright.”
“Of course it's alright baby.” Serena said as she hugged Elaina. “I.m so happy for you sweetheart.”
“Thank you. Right, I'm off up for a shower.” Elaina said as she kissed both her Mum's and ran upstairs.
“She's one happy girl now.” Bernie said as she put her arm around Serena.
“Yes she is. She's not the only one.”Serena smiled as she looked at Bernie and kissed her softly. “I love you so much.”
“I love you too baby.” Bernie said as she kissed Serena passionately.
Serena made her way upstairs and checked on Cameron and Macy who were both fast asleep.
“Goodnight darling.”Serena said as she stuck her head around Elaina's bedroom door.
“Night Mum.”
“Don't leave your TV on all night.”
“I won't. Mum.”
“Yes. I'm a bit worried about meeting Beth's parents tomorrow. I mean what if they don't like me or they think I'm not good enough for their daughter.”
“I know how you feel.” Serena walked inside the bedroom and sat on Elaina’s bed. I was so scared when I met your Nan and Grandad. I didn't think they would like me because I was a single parent. But I had absolutely nothing to worry about. They were lovely with me and they took to Harley straight away. I'm sure that Beth's parents will like you. What's there not to like eh.” Serena smiled. “Stop worrying and give your old Mum a hug.”
“I love you Mum.” Elaina said as they hugged.
“I love you too. Night baby.”
“Night Mum.” Serena stood up and left the room.
“That feels better.” Bernie said as she came out of the bath with a towel wrapped around her. Serena smirked as she walked closer to Bernie.
“Have I told you lately how very sexy you are?” Serena purred as she took hold of the towel and gently pulled it open, letting it fall to the floor.
“Now that I'm naked what are you going to do with me?” Bernie smiled as she kissed Serena. Serena led Bernie towards the bed and pushed her on it.
“I'll show you.” Serena said as she began to kiss her way down Bernie's body.
