The sin of the main Oniro

Jean looked at the door nervously, she had came just after finishing her day to look for Diluc, the truth was that she didn't want to be alone with the exchange student from Sumeru.

She didn't dislike Lisa at all, in fact, she considered her quite attractive but the problem was that Lisa seemed to know everything about her.

Jean didn't know if she found that extremely attractive or if she was fucking terrified.

The worst thing was that Lisa always called her 'darling' or 'dear' and Jean couldn't help but feel butterflies.

Fifteen minutes must have passed when Diluc appeared, the problem was that he wasn't alone.

But when Jean noticed who it was, she couldn't help but jump in joy. It was Kaeya! But what was Kaeya doing with Diluc?

Suddenly her gaze crossed Kaeya's, Jean had to admit that Kaeya dressed really great, it was a style of clothes that Jean would wear if she didn't have so much work, maybe that was the reason why she wanted to be closer to him.

Jean admired how carefree Kaeya looked and how well he fought, he had defeated her in seconds! Even though he had caught her off guard it had been amazing.

-Hey! Diluc! Kaeya! What are you two doing here?

Kaeya looked between Diluc and Jean nervously, it seemed that Jean had been stressed and had blurted out the first thing that came to her mind.

-Oh Jean, I forgot we had plans, if you don't mind could Kaeya join us?

-Of course! No problem! Besides, I had promised to show Kaeya the headquarters!

Diluc blinked curiously.

-Do you two know each other?

Jean's eyes sparkled and she started babbling excitedly.

-Yes! We met at Vanessa's tree! Kaeya is really nice!

Kaeya stared in disbelief.

"Jean, I put a weapon on your neck I don't consider that nice!"

Diluc for some reason started to feel a little uncomfortable, it was weird that Kaeya and Jean were so close so fast, but he dismissed this thought as stupid.

Kaeya didn't need to have only him as a friend, in fact having more friends was better as it would make Kaeya want to stay even longer.

-Jean, please don't exaggerate, though, could you tell me what the plan is? I'm a very curious person.

-Sure! Let's go to see Lisa, she asked me to have lunch together!

Kaeya was in a state of shock, Lisa shouldn't have come until later, why was she already here? How? It should be impossible.

But he couldn't deny the reality, Lisa must be in Mondstadt for some reason.

Kaeya had been staring at nothing for so long that when he came back Diluc was really close.

-Kaeya? Are you all right?

With a fake smile on his face Kaeya answered.

-Don't worry, I just have a friend with the same name, I was surprised to hear it but they probably aren't the same person.

Diluc nodded, what Kaeya was saying made sense, even so he decided to stay a little closer to Kaeya than usual.

If Jean noticed anything, she didn't say anything.

The way to the barracks made the group of three regain their energy, chatting they soon arrived at the library.

-Lisa must be inside lost in her mountain of books, Sumeru students really are completely different.

As Jean opened the door Kaeya couldn't help but hold his breath, Lisa was behind that door, Lisa might remember, Lisa his best friend.

-Jean dear you're late

Lisa didn't seem angry at all but Jean already felt guilty.

-I'm so sorry Lisa, I got distracted while I was waiting for my friends, Oh let me introduce you, this is Diluc, I think I already told you about him, and this is Kaeya.

-Pleased to meet you

The two greeted Lisa politely, while she smiled mischievously.

-Really? So long time without seeing each other and you only greet me like this Kaeya?

Kaeya couldn't help but start laughing uncontrollably, Lisa, his Lisa, his best friend was here.

-What are you laughing about, you casanova?

-I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, I really missed you Lisa, I didn't expect to see you here.

Diluc and Jean were staring at the strange scene in front of them, while Lisa let out a snort.

-You didn't expect to see me here? I didn't expect not to see you so far! Who would have thought that you would run away from Mondstad when even Barbatos gets along with you!

Kaeya wrinkled his nose.

-Let's not talk about that drunkard here

Lisa rolled her eyes.

-You talk as if that drunkard wasn't your drinking buddy.

Diluc and Jean were increasingly horrified, had they just called Barbatos a drunkard? Did Lisa and Kaeya know him?

Diluc began to think, Kaeya had always been very mysterious, it would not be unusual for Kaeya to actually be some kind of deity, he knew the adeptus of Liyue and Barbatos, but for some reason he could not help but be saddened by the possibility.

Diluc realized how different he and Kaeya were and couldn't help but feel that there was a line between them, that he could never be on equal ground with Kaeya.

-Really Lisa? I can't handle this! Luc defend me, I'm being bullied!

As soon as he heard how Kaeya had called him Diluc turned red, someone like Kaeya had decided to be close to him as an equal, Diluc could not let those efforts be in vain, he had to make an effort to live up to it and for that the first thing he had to do was to accept himself.

So he moved on impulse, grabbed Kaeya by the arm and pulled him close to him.

-Diluc? When I said to defend me, I didn't mean this...

Lisa was laughing like crazy, the scene in front of her was great, if only she could do the same with Jean...

In the end they ended up having a snack at Sara's, Kaeya had to watch Lisa try to flirt with Jean only to fail miserably, it was funny how some things never change.

Still Diluc and Jean seemed to keep thinking about the fact that the two strangers knew Barbatos, which in Kaeya's opinion was something that made sense to wonder about.

-Kaeya, how did you and Lisa meet? Aren't you from Liyue and Lisa from Sumeru?

Kaeya looked at Lisa who just smiled, they were going to have to lie, weren't they?

-Are you that curious dear? Well you see, we met in Mondstadt the first time I came, Kaeya took a while to return a book and as a good friend I helped him.

Kaeya swallowed at the memory, Lisa didn't help him, she made him work like a slave for a few weeks, in the end Lisa took pity on him and let him go.

Even so Lisa became his best friend, Lisa always took care of him when he was going through a bad moment.

Still Lisa had sold her life span, that was a secret that Kaeya knew, in exchange she had received knowledge but Kaeya wasn't sure if that knowledge was worth it.

-You two had already been to Mondstadt?

Jean looked surprised while Diluc seemed calmer, as if he was already expecting it.

-Oh, oh Lisa, do you really consider that help? You rather worked me to the bone, but I can't complain or else you'll electrocute me.

Diluc and Jean looked at Lisa, who was smiling flirtatiously.

-How can you say that about me Kaeya honey? I would never be able to do something so cruel to you.

-Oh sure and Klee is not an arsonist.

-Oh come on, Klee is adorable, how would our little Klee be a criminal Alice would be very disappointed about how you view her daughter.

-Alice almost blew up more than a mountain of Mondstadt.

Diluc and Jean looked increasingly horrified, but Jean knew Alice and Diluc had seen her a few times but never spoken to her.

For some reason they felt that the fight between these two was not going to end any time soon.

-Stop it, you two!

The voice of reason, Jean, managed to finally stop them with this but when she turned around Diluc had to endure seeing Lisa trying to electrocute Kaeya and Kaeya defending himself with some extra weapon that no one had ever seen before.

Diluc would really like to know how many weapons Kaeya really had.

The afternoon passed quickly and Diluc couldn't help but feel a strange sense of nostalgia, at the same time he wondered how many other people Kaeya knew.

Kaeya was an adventurer and possibly not an ordinary human being so he must have a lot of people to confide in, Diluc didn't know if he was among friends or acquaintances.

And Diluc didn't know if he could settle for acquaintances, he wanted to be closer to Kaeya, he wanted to know more about the mysterious boy who fought like it was a dance, but smiled as if Diluc was the best thing that ever happened to him.

Diluc didn't know if he could settle for being a memory in Kaeya's mind, he wanted to be someone important and he felt very selfish for it.

In the end they ended up saying goodbye to Jean and Lisa, who for some reason decided that they were going to have a sleepover.

Kaeya seemed very gloomy lately, as if he was recalling horrible scenes, sometimes he didn't respond, the worst thing Kaeya didn't seem to realize it.

Diluc watched as Kaeya came out of his trance and smiled at him, Kaeya smiled in a very curious way, his eyebrows arched a little and his eyes sparkled playfully, they looked like the eyes of a child who had just eaten a candy that was not his.

Diluc watched as Kaeya left a calla lily in his pocket as he smiled again, Kaeya must have asked something because he stopped smiling and moved his hand closer to Diluc's face.

-Diluc, are you tired? You aren't answering

Diluc, Kaeya had called him Luc before, a nickname no one had ever used, not even Jean had tried to give him a nickname when they were children, Luc savored the name in his mouth, it sounded so good when it came from Kaeya's lips.

Realizing he still hadn't responded he looked Kaeya in the face and smiled.

-I'm sorry, I must be pretty tired, it's been a long day.

-Don't worry Diluc, go get some rest, it's still Friday tomorrow.

And Diluc couldn't help but melt at this, Kaeya was always so considerate, never expecting anything in return.

He couldn't help but smile and fell asleep smelling the flowers Kaeya had given him.

Diluc opened his eyes again in a bar, he was pretty sure it was Angel's Share, but for some reason it looked different, he didn't recognize anyone, just a few people, but they all looked older.

At the bar there was someone strange talking to the bartender, on impulse he decided to approach.

At the bar a differently dressed Kaeya seemed to be arguing with someone, without being able to hear well he ended up getting even closer.

-Come on! Don't be like that! Do it for the old days!

Diluc didn't know who Kaeya was talking to but the bartender ignored him completely, Diluc could see how Kaeya's face, always playful, became sad and melancholic, he couldn't help but feel guilty without knowing why.

-Oh was my love for you one sided?

Those words stuck like needles in Diluc's chest, Kaeya loved the unknown waiter but the waiter didn't seem to have listened to Kaeya and kept on cleaning the glasses.

Kaeya just laughed and kept drinking.

Diluc wanted to hug Kaeya right now, Diluc woke up in a cold sweat, not understanding what he had dreamt he went back to sleep, this time the smell of calla lily's did take effect and Diluc slept peacefully.

When Lisa recovered her memories the first thing she did was to sleep.

Honestly from the beginning she understood the situation but she was too tired to bother doing anything.

Lisa had died to save Jean, she hadn't even died for having sold half of her life, she had died simply to save Jean.

Maybe it had been better to die this way than any other way.

After what Lisa called a week of rest she took an exam to go to Mondstadt as an exchange student, passing it with the best grade possible, she got on the first wagon train that would take her to Mondstadt.

As soon as she arrived, the first thing she did was to go to the library and visit Jean, library, Jean, library, Jean.

Her life became monotonous and boring.

But little by little she noticed things, there were tiny changes in Mondstadt, so small that no one would notice.

In the end, trying to figure out what was the cause of the change Jean realized that Kaeya was gone, no one knew Kaeya, as if he had simply vanished.

Lisa had a lot of time to think and in the end the conclusion was that there was more than one person that remembered.

So it was obvious that Kaeya must be one of those people, actually before Kaeya there was another person that remembered, someone that Lisa met.

For some reason that Lisa didn't know, Kaveh, the architect, remembered for a long time, yet Lisa remembered to have received a letter from Collei before everything went to shit about Kaveh's death, so Kaveh had no idea that the world was going to end.

Lisa didn't know if that was good or bad luck, at least that would give him time to figure out how to propose once and for all to his roommate.

Even so when Lisa saw Kaeya again she couldn't help but smile, Kaeya had changed a lot, he seemed happier, his skin had tanned a lot too, even more than usual.

Now that Lisa was in Mondstadt and Kaeya too everything was going to be better, they were going to be able to stop all this, Lisa was sure that it was possible.

She was going to make it possible.

Diluc, Kaeya and Crepus had breakfast as usual, however Diluc would not be able to meet Kaeya today.

He had been called away on an important expedition so Diluc was going to be late.

Kaeya realized that Diluc had become captain early, Jean too, according to what he had heard from Barbatos it had something to do with the constellations.

Kaeya thought that could not be the only reason, maybe Varka remembered or maybe Jean and Diluc were just better because their subconscious remembered.

Anyway Kaeya was lonely as hell without Diluc and after leaving work he didn't know what to do, he didn't know how to find Rosaria, he didn't want to interrupt Lisa's date and he certainly didn't want to play guessing games with Venti again.

With nothing to do he went to the adventurers guild and started asking for commissions.

The first commission was to help an old man and bring a letter from his son, the next one was to help an old woman find her cat, the next one was to help an old man find a specific herb, and so on.

Surprisingly most of the errands were from the elderly asking for help.

Kaeya felt sorry for Traveller for the thousandth time, now he understood how repetitive the commissions were.

In the end, after three hours he ran out of commissions to do, so he simply wandered through the streets and helped anyone who passed by.

Whether it was helping someone carry their shopping bags or bringing them extra fruit they were missing.

After a few more hours working to kill time Kaeya realized that he had almost no friends in Mondstadt right now.

Just as he was about to give up and go back home he saw someone fall in front of him.

-I'm so sorry! Are you okay?

Bennett, who looked about ten years old was looking at him with teary eyes, Keya immediately bent down to pick him up.

-Hey, it's all right, are you okay?

Bennett looked at him with curiosity and fear.

-You shouldn't come near me! I bring bad luck!

Kaeya was perplexed, it seemed that Bennett was still Bennett, Kaeya really didn't understand how Bennett could bring him bad luck if Kaeya was already unlucky.

-I honestly don't care, it's more worrying if you have an injury, now tell me, does anything hurt?

To Kaeya's surprise Bennett began to cry and rushed to give him a hug.

When the boy finally calmed down and stopped hugging him, his eyes were puffy.

-I'm sorry for crying on you....

Kaeya watched as Bennett would not look up from the ground, still bent over he stroked the boy's head.

-Don't worry little one, we all have our bad days, I'm Kaeya and you?

Bennett looked at him, still with puffy eyes, and smiled.

-I'm Bennett and I'm going to be an adventurer when I grow up!

Kaeya smiled at this, children were capable of seeing the world with incredible ignorance, Bennett was someone Kaeya had helped several times, honestly he was happy to see him again.

"I should see if I can find Mika too, I should help him use that crossbow he loves so much, I should also provide him with information about the improved weapon he created in the future."

Just thinking about it Kaeya shook his head, giving that weapon to Mika would be quite dangerous, not for Mika but for the others, the 'gun' or whatever it was called was a scary weapon.

-So Bennett, when you create your adventure team let me join in.

-Sure!

The day ended well enough in Kaeya's opinion, although it had been boring he was now liked by all the Mondstadt elders, he had also met Bennett.

Tomorrow and the day after there was minimal work to do so he would have more free time to spend with Diluc.

He would also be able to see Lisa and Jean.

"Everything is going well, I hope it stays that way."

That day Kaeya forgot to leave a calla lily in Diluc's room.

Diluc arrived late that day, really late, as soon as he arrived he went straight to bed, the day had been really complicated and although no one had been hurt everyone was tired as fuck.

Diluc, slept began to observe what was happening in his dream, it was night and not much could be seen, then he saw Kaeya, with a sword smiling at someone.

-Come on D̴͙͓͓̔̈́͐i̸̟͕̿͆͜͠l̵̡͍͕̓̐͘u̵̡̙̠̽͒̾c̴͖̺͐̾͠ , aren't you going to attack? I've been lying to you all our lives! And you can't even swing your sword to defend your honor!

Kaeya sounded terribly sad, as much as Diluc tried to understand who Kaeya was talking to he couldn't help but think that whoever it was must have been someone important.

The other person lunged towards Kaeya without answering him, his attacks seemed frantic and predictive, but Diluc could see that Kaeya was not actually attacking, only defending.

The battle was leaving terrible cuts on Kaeya but Diluc could not move, if Kaeya kept on defending alone he was going to lose.

Then Diluc saw how the other person charged one last attack with everything, his sight became blurred and as he blinked he started to see from the other person's perspective.

The last thing he saw before waking up was Kaeya lowering his sword and letting the other person strike him.

Diluc could not fall asleep again that night, he could only think about why at the last moment the perpective of the dream had changed, why the attacks of the person who had attacked Kaeya felt so familiar and why Kaeya had surrendered.

Kaeya's face, having accepted his death haunted him every time he tried to close his eyes.

Diluc couldn't help but feel that for some reason it was his fault.

Ajax observed his hands, they were really clean, so clean that it was annoying.

He watched some more as the other recruits trained, they were really bad, if not terrible.

Ajax was sure he had died, but when he opened his eyes he was back in the abyss, great! Exactly what Ajax wanted! To go back to living that shitty experience that was living in fear every day! Yippee!

Sighing he had continued on his way and had met Skirk, who had become his master again, Ajax had told her about the strange situation he was in and Skirk had told him something really complicated and unintelligible, something to do with cycles and Celestia that no one could understand, in the end the only understandable thing was that he was back, in the abyss and that for some reason he remembered a guy named Scaramouche but at the same time he didn't remember him.

It was like looking at a distorted image, really annoying and unpleasant, plus he remembered that guy with another name next to the Dendro archon.

In short, he was in the past and Ajax could only think that he had to become stronger than before because, surprise! there was a war against Celestia in the future.

Although calling it a war was a bit much to say, massacre fit better.

Ajax couldn't help but sigh, he couldn't let anyone know that he remembered anything, he had made sure that no one knew anything, not even the Anemo archon who with his incredible network of information should know, even if he suspected something he had no proof.

And what were they going to ask him anyways? Hey, do you come from the future? because your way of fighting is incredible, it would seem that they were flirting with him and not asking him for information that according to Skirk 'The descendant of Istaroth' should know or something like that.

Honestly Ajax didn't give a fuck as long as his family was alright.

For now he would have to settle for becoming absurdly strong in silence.

"But I really want to visit Liyue..."

Sighing he swallowed his sorrows and decided to wait, it was still too early.
