Homecoming Question
Kara felt heavy. She was so heartbroken she lost her eyesight, but she had hoped she’d regain it soon. After all. She has self healing powers. She was asleep in her hospital bed, when she felt some movement.
“Hello?” She said.
“Hey baby, it’s me” Lena told her. She crawled into Kara’s hospital bed and helped Kara cuddle up into her.
“Hey babe” Kara said, comfortable in Lena’s arms. “I like it here,” Kara said. She felt safe in her girlfriend’s arms. Lena kissed the top of Kara’s head.
“I like you here too,” she said, she took Kara’s fingers and intertwined them with hers. “I have a question for you,” Lena said to her.
“What's up?” Kara asked. Lena reached over to the table close by and pulled over a sign that had braile.
“I’m going to help you learn how to read braile by touch, baby” Lena told her. She took Kara’s hands and went over the letters and numbers. Kara, who is a quick learner, picked up on them pretty damn quick.
“This is not a question though, silly” Kara jokes. Lena laughed and kissed her.
“No duh goober” Lena said. She took out another poster. She ran Kara’s fingers. “Read it out loud baby” she instructed.
Kara’s fingers ran through them.
“Will- You- Go- To- Homecoming- With- Me” Kara read. Her voice cracked a little, and her cute eyes started to water.
“Of course I will” she said. Lena smile went wide and she kissed her again.
“I’m so happy to hear that” Lena said. She and Kara cuddled back on the bed and slowly they fell asleep. Lena’s arms wrapped around Kara and Kara’s arms lying on Lena’s stomach. They were sleeping peacefully, and they loved that they were together.
