One week after Kara comes back from being dead.
Kara and Alex pull up into the parking lot of their highschool. Everyone has already heard of Kara Danvers, the girl who died and came back to life. Some people,okay, most people, were ecstatic she was alive, and well, and some were not. Since Kara's death , The A crowd decided they needed to change their ways. Standing up for Kara behind her back wasn't going to cut it anymore. It's sad that it took the death of someone so young, for people to change their ways.
"baby girl, are you sure you're ready for this? You can stay home another week" Alex told Kara as she finished parking her car.
"I want this, Alex, I want to be back here. When I died..those few minutes" Kara began.
"5 minutes" Alex interjected.
"What?" Kara asked.
"My favorite person in the whole world.." Alex's voice trailed off, lips quivered, "was dead, for five minutes.." Alex explained to her.
"Right.." Kara said in a whisper, "When I was dead..I was my aunt, and my dad" Kara explained, she wiped away her tears as she began talking, "they told me to keep fighting, keep living. And they told me to not let what's been happening to me, ruin my whole high school career" She said. "I want to be here" she softly whispered.
"Good. I just wanted to double check" Alex replied, her phone dinged, it was a text from Lena, "Oh, Lena texted me, to tell you, to meet her by her locker this morning" Alex told Kara.
"Shit! I totally almost forgot" Kara exclaimed. This got Alex confused.
"Forgot what?" Alex asked. Kara grabbed her backpack and opened the passenger side of the car, and stepped out.
"Lena kissed me, and then I kissed her" Kara said as she shut the door.
"What?!" Alex asked, she shut off her car, grabbed her bag, stepped out of her car, closed her door, locked her car and ran after her sister, "Kara!" She called out as she caught up to her sister.
"Kara, you can't just drop a "I kissed my crush and my crush kissed me", bomb and walk away!" Alex said, she stood in front of Kara, "Are you two like an item?" Alex asked. Kara feels herself start blushing.
"I..um...well, um,, no, I don't know, maybe?" she stammers.
"Boy, she sure took my approval to whole different level" Alex joked. Kara let out a small laugh.
"Look, nobody else knows, so until I know for sure what Lena and I are, don't tell anyone else" Kara told her sister.
"Tell anyone else what?" Waverly asked, startling Kara. She spun around to see her best friend standing behind her.
'holy shit' Kara cursed in Kryptonian. "Waverly, hi, hey, what's up?" She asked.
"What don't you want anyone else to know? come on, I promise I won't tell anybody else" Waverly begged. Kara shut her eyes and let out a loud sigh.
"Fine, if I'm not back in 5 minutes, she killed me" Kara quietly said in a whisper to Alex. She took Waverly's hand and dragged her to a corner.
"Okay, don't freak out, but Lena kissed me, and um, I kissed her back" Kara said. Waverly's eyes grew wide, and Kara knew what was next, so she covered her mouth as Waverly let out a muffled squeal. She waited for about 30 seconds.
"You good?" She asked. Waverly nodded and she released her hand from her mouth. "Good" she said.
"Wait, wait" Waverly said in a dramatic voice, "when did this happen?" She asked. Kara closed one eye and pursed her lips.
"Um, about a week ago" She replied.
"A week ago?!" Waverly exclaimed quietly, "you kissed her a week ago and didn't tell me?" she asked.
"Sorry! I was too busy recollecting the fact that I was dead" Kara replied. Waverly's face went blank.
"I'm sorry..It's still hard to come to terms with.." Kara said quietly, Waverly pulled her in for a hug.
"It's okay. I don't think anyone will truly get over it" Waverly told her.
"Okay, I'm gonna go talk to Lena, she wanted to see me" Kara says, Waverly sends her a smile.
"Go get your girl" Waverly tells her, Kara smiles and walks up the stairs of the school. She enters and the eyes of everyone fall on her. She just ignores them. She arrives to Lena's locker.
"Hey Lena" Kara said with a smile. Lena shut her locker.
"Hey Kara, I'm glad you're here, there's been something I've been wanting to talk to you about" Lena said as she began fidgeting with her hands.
"Of course, what's up?" Kara asked. Lena's green eyes met Kara's blue ones. People walking passed, could've sworn they saw hearts in the pairs eyes, like the emojis.
"I like you.." Lena said, "And I know you probably don't like me too, but-" Lena was cut off by Kara's lips.
"I like you, so much" Kara whispers after she releases the kiss. They press their foreheads against each others. "Lena, will you be my girlfriend?" Kara asked.
"I was going to ask you, that" Lena replies with a fake pout, and then the fake pout, turns into a soft smile.
"Guess I got to it first" Kara said with a smirk as they kissed again. The bell rang.
"I gotta get to class" Lena whispers, making Kara pout.
"Aww, noo!" She fake whines. Lena lets out a love struck giggle.
"I'll see you in history and lunch, okay?" Lena said as she pressed her forehead against Kara's.
"Okay" Kara replied, staring at Lena as if she hung the moon and the stars. Lena plants a kiss on her nose, and walks away. The warning bell rings, so Kara gathers her belongings and headed to her first class. She walked in and sat next to Waverly. With one look, Waverly knew what happened.
"Oh my God, you two are dating" Waverly said with a grin. Kara feels herself begin to turn red as she grins so wide, she swears her face would be stuck that way.
"Finally" Waverly exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air as she pulls her best friend in for a hug, "how do you feel?" Waverly asked her.
"For the first time in three years?" Kara started, she smiled, "happy".
