Chapter 4
10:30 p.m
Nobara:
Nobara looked at her girlfriend Maki Zanin, she couldn't be more beautiful than she already is
They were sitting in the living room of her house, watching a very romantic movie, Maki hated the genre but she couldn't say no to her girlfriend. Her mother was in the kitchen talking to her grandfather who came to visit, everyone was aware and approved of Nobara and Maki's relationship, Nobara wasn't surprised that they supported her, they always encouraged her to be herself which she is happy about, but Maki's homophobic parents really annoy her
"You don't think your parents will be angry that you're not at your house?" Nobara suddenly asked her girlfriend who was leaning on her
Maki just smiled and spoke
"Believe me, they are on a business trip and they won't care about me anyway, but just to be safe, I begged May to cover me"
"And she cooperated with it? Because she seems to really hate me" Nobara spoke in a surprised tone
"Honey, she doesn't hate you, she's jealous of our relationship and how we're open about it, and she's too scared to come out to our parents" Maki smiled sadly
Before Nobara could react a police car appeared in front of her house
"Girls stay here we are going to check what happened" Nobara's mother spoke to them
"What do you think happened?" Maki asks
"I have no idea,"
They both looked outside and saw Nobara's mother with a sad face looking at the policeman
"What the hell happened now?"
The policeman together with Nobara's mother entered the house
"Are you Maki Zenin?" the policeman asked
"So...yeah what happened?"
"I am really sorry to inform you that your sister Mai Zenin was found half an hour ago in your home with stab wounds along with her friend, and unfortunately the paramedics had to pronounce them dead" the policeman said with a ashamed face
"Determine their death" these words scream in Maki's mind, the tears start to appear and luckily for Maki Nobara hugged her then she just closed her eyes and hugged Nobara tighter
Nobara's mother put a hand on Maki's shoulder to comfort her
"I'm really sorry but I'm going to need you to come to the police station and fill out your testimony"
"Right now?!!! The girl just lost her sister and you want to drag her to the police station?" Nobara's mother yelled at the policeman
"It's ok, I'll do anything to help catch the madman who killed my sister" Maki gently told Nobara's mother, she finally came out of the hug
"Okay, but I'm coming with you" Nobara tried to say but her mother intervened
"No Nobara, stay at home, I'll come with her to the station. In the meantime, stay with your grandfather and lock all the doors.
Nobara just nodded her head
"I'll be fine I'll talk to you later" Maki tried to reassure her girlfriend
Nobara returned to the house and just smiled an encouraging smile towards Maki but Maki did not return it

She entered the police station and saw that some of the people were not there, probably still at the scene.
She was brought into the interrogation room and Nobara's mother was with her as an adult
"When exactly did you leave the house?" The policewoman Maki identified as Utahime who works together with Gojo
"around 9"
"And why exactly did you leave the house?"
"Because I was really bored at home and wanted to see my girlfriend, sorry, am I under investigation?!"
"Anything that will help us catch the killer" the policewoman said in a heavy tone
"OMG do you really think I'm going to kill my sister?" Maki looked at the policewoman in disbelief
"No... listen, it's a long night and it's far from over. We just need someone to testify on your behalf that you weren't at home at the time of the murder"
"As I said before, she was with my daughter at my house from 9 in the evening and you can see their viewing time and you also have me, my daughter and my father as witnesses" Nobara's mother said angrily
"Am I free now?" Maki snapped angrily
"Yes, but is there anyone staying with him for the night? Your house is still a crime scene and from what I understand your parents are not due back until next week"
"Yes she will stay with me for the next week" Nobara's mother spoke on Maki's behalf
"Come on sweetie we're going" Nobara's mother left the room along with Maki
that they are in the car Novara's mother spoke
"you are fine?"
Maki, who could no longer hold back the tears in her face, burst out
"That's it it's all right take it all out" Nobara's mother spoke while hugging Maki
"Will you be okay for a few days to stay with us?"
"Yes"
When they returned to the house Novara was still waiting for them in the living room
"how did it go?" Nobara spoke softly to her friend
"Okay, I think" Maki spoke
"Maki, can you take the guest room, we'll leave next to Nobara's room and tomorrow we'll go to your house to get clothes, is that okay?"
"Yes"
"Are you sure you're okay?" Her girlfriend hurried to say
"No I'm not fine my twin sister died alone while I was here watching movies" Maki was angry
"I know, it will probably be worse than it will be, well but now you are really exhausted and you need to sleep" Nobara led her to her room but Maki stopped her with a look of "don't leave me alone either" and Nobara realized this and they both entered the room of Novara
Nobara's mother would probably kill them if she saw them like this but she would probably agree to it today
They got into Nobara's bed and Maki hugged Nobara like a teddy bear
Maki looked at her phone, 2 phone calls and 6 missed messages from her cousin Magumi Fushiguru
Gojo must have told him what happened, she will talk to him in the morning, she can't talk to anyone else now except Nobara.
