To say that Wednesday was tired would be an understatement.

After years of everyone hopping and praying for any god to help them, the only one to answer had been some perverted, attention-obsessed, stalker.

Shortly after showing her parents her wedding ring the poor girl passed out from emotional and physical exhaustion. Her entire family carried her to their home while the rest of the village celebrated, seemingly not caring that their savior was burnt out and dragged into an unwanted marriage.

The villagers cried joyfully and sang songs of victory, while the Addams cried and held their eldest child.

The sun had long since gone down and the villagers continued their celebration. They lit fires and told stories of long-dead relatives who would be overjoyed to hear that the worst was over.

And for them it was.

Meanwhile in the Addams family's home Morticia and Gomez held their daughter who had regained consciousness after many hours. The poor girl was still exhausted and doing her best to stay awake and ease her parent's concerns. Sadly nothing she could calm her parents.

“Mother, Father I promise that I agreed to the marriage I wasn’t forced. She offered help and we needed it.”

“But why marriage?” Morticia cried out, holding onto her husband’s arm for support. “You’re far too young to be put in a position like this darling.”

Gomez placed his hand over his wife’s “Wednesday are you sure this is what you want?”

Wednesday takes a deep breath and runs her hands down her face “It’s not like we have a choice, Father.”

Before Gomez can reply they all see a bright light shining in through their windows.

Morticia and Gomez stand up to go investigate only to have their front door slammed open, nearly hitting them both.

They both watch half in horror and half in awe as the moon goddess steps through their doorway.

“Hey in-laws I’m here to take Wednesday to my place for our wedding night.”

Wednesday stared in horror as her parents' jaws dropped simultaneously.

Her mother was the first to recover from the shock “No the fuck you will not.”

Enid took that personally “Oh yes I will.” The goddess pushed her wife's parents aside with a small wave of her hand, causing them to crash into their dining table.

“Oh shit I forgot humans are really fragile.” The blond looks over at her in-laws, who are now laying on the floor covered in the wooden chunks and splinters of what used to be a table.

“Oops, my bad. Now come on honey I really want to get some sleep.”

The blond skips over to her wife and reaches her hand out.

In her confused and tired state, the only thing that came out of the brunette mouth was “Gods need to sleep?”

She watches the goddess roll her eyes dramatically before she forcefully grabbed her hand and pulled her up. “Yes, we do need sleep and I'm exhausted so don’t make this harder than it needs to be.”

Wednesday’s last remaining brain cell finally hits the corner of her brain and lets her form a coherent thought. “No”

She can feel the Goddess tighten her grip.

“What do you mean no? I am tired and I would like to sleep now so we are going.”

The brunette tries to pull her arm free but Enid won’t let go.

Not when she finally has her.

After all this time.

But Wednesday won’t stop trying to pull her arm free and Enid finally snaps.

“Pull one more time and see what fucking happens.”

Enid was aware that she wasn’t supposed to use her “God Voice” so close to humans but she had forgotten why.

She was quickly reminded.

She watches all the humans around her put their hands up to their ears and scream in pain. All except her wife who fell over but continued to glare up at her.

Enid was still holding tightly onto Wednesday's arm, the younger girl was kneeling down on one knee with her head down panting in pain. Her head was pounding.

It reminded her of when Enid had made her the ring earlier but seven times worse.

But while Wednesday was hunched over in pain all Enid could think about is how romantic this situation would have been under other circumstances. Wednesday kneeling in front of her in worship, complementing her beautiful hair and eyes while kissing her hand.

The thought of it made her swoon.

She would get that out of this relationship one day. She just had to be patient, and more importantly, she had to teach her darling little wife what her role was in this marriage.

She yanked the brunette up and started pulling her towards the door, not caring that the other girl was still desperately trying to get free.

The blond could hear the other girl talking but she was far too tired to care. She would just have to ask for forgiveness later.

Once she finally made it outside she pulled Wednesday into a tight hug and teleported them to her void.

Enid's void looked like someone had built a house using outer space. The walls were covered in nebulas and constellations, and the ceiling showed different planets circling around the sun. Her bed was pressed up against a wall that had the moon on it, the celestial body took up the entire wall and if you looked closely you could see meteorites hitting its surface. The bed was huge, it could probably fit at least 6 people comfortably and still have enough room for a large dog.

The blankets and pillows were a deep purple color and the frame of the bed was silver making it stand out against the pinks and purples of the rest of the room.

The room was surprisingly empty, completely void of anything that made it seem like someone actually came in to do anything other than sleep and change clothing. There was a dresser that matched the nebulas on the walls that had a single framed picture on it. It was of Enid surrounded by who Wednesday assumed were other gods at what looked to be a wedding.

“Welcome home honey.”

Wednesday looked up at the goddess, just noticing that she was still being held in something that was less like a hug and more of a grapple. She tried to push Enid away but the blond just giggled and held on tighter.

“Look what you did back there was cute and all but don’t let it happen again.”

Enid brought one hand up to touch Wednesday’s cheek, still holding onto her with one arm.

“Darling I promised you I would help your people in exchange for worship, and I have yet to get a single thanks out of you. So here’s what is going to happen.”

The Goddess started to pull her wife to the bed, “We’re going to go to sleep, then tomorrow you’ll worship me properly, and after that, I’ll help your village. Do we have a deal?”

The younger girl opened her mouth to answer only to get cut off “ You know what just nod, I’m so done with hearing people talk today. Oh and after I help your people tomorrow  we’re going to meet my friends and you’re going to pretend that you’re super in love with me alright?”

Wednesday nodded her head.

“Great! Oh there should be some pajamas in the dresser and that door on the right leads to my bathroom, there should be an extra toothbrush in the cupboard. After you’re done come to bed it’s big enough to share. Nodd if you understand.”

Wednesday was getting tired of this but she nodded again.

“Perfect, now hurry up I’m exhausted. And the bathroom light will keep me up.”

Not wanting to anger the goddess any further the brunette did as she was told. The bathroom was just as impressive as the bedroom itself. The wall continued with the nebula and constellation theme but when Wednesday turned the light on the entire ceiling lit up, it was the sun. Her bathroom light was the fucking sun.

“No wonder Enid said the light would keep her awake.”

As she walked into the bathroom she couldn’t stop thinking about her parents. Were they alright? She watched them get thrown into their dining room table, then she was dragged out of her own home before she could even check up on them.

How was her brother? When she had woken up her parents told her he had gone to a friend’s bonfire. Had he heard all the noise, had anybody?

Honestly, she was too tired to think about this right now.

She unbraided her hair, brushed her teeth, and washed her face with some water before joining her wife in bed.

Luckily for her, the blond was happy to let Wednesday sleep on the other side of the bed. On any other day, she would have found it difficult to fall asleep but she was so exhausted that it didn’t take her long to pass out.

She wanted to dream that she was at home in her own bed, that she would wake up to her mother setting out a hot cup of tea for her. That she would see her father outside their window already greeting the rest of the village. She wanted to dream that she would see her brother helping her mother cook in the kitchen.

But she was here, in what was honestly the most beautiful place she had ever seen but sleeping next to the cruelest person she had ever met.

If all the gods were like this it’s no wonder they gleefully let her family suffer all this time.

But Enid had promised to help tomorrow. All she had to do was “Worship her properly.” Whatever that meant, nobody in her village had actually worshipped anyone in years so she had no idea how to do it. Even her mother didn’t remember the last time she had actually worshipped a god.

But tomorrow was another day, and tomorrow Wednesday would finally help her people.

Tomorrow.
