Chapter 1
Leonora Lesso struck her cane into the ancient concrete floors of the library. A vicious echo roared throughout the room, making Clarissa Dovey's heart drop. Dovey could not move an inch even if she tried. She had never seen such ample rage pour into every ounce of an exasperated body.
"Evil is not a simple, effortless obstacle that contains a trophy on the other side waiting for you! It is not a cage. It is a damn lion's den, Clarissa! So for you to even look down on me a split second is your worst fucking mistake yet! Do it one more time and see what will happen!", Lesso shot out. She took a step closer, hovering over the Fairy Godmother. "Understand me, princess?"
Dovey could only stare into the redhead's fiery eyes. Pounding fear conquer her iced, fragile physique. It was almost like looking at the devil himself. Her mind couldn't function to acknowledge the current situation.
"I said do you understand me?", she said in a low, firm voice as she pressed her cane against Dovey's chest. The blonde finally managed gain control of herself. She is frightened about Lesso's reaction to her response but Dovey was always taught to speak her mind.
"You simply misunderstood me, Lady Lesso", she said confidently yet softly. Lesso takes a step back and chuckles.
"Geez. You are ridiculous."
"I lightly suggest that Good, Agatha and Kiko, should become the, you know, models of the School. It was never my intention to offend or dehumanize Evil...but in a world of fanasty, Good is validly the best option for approachable."
Dovey held her breath for the havoc that she was expecting to arise. But the slim, tall redhaired woman carefully walked towards a two-lite casement window. Comfortable sunlight beamed onto her enigmatic face. Now believing Lesso was composed, Dovey relaxed the dominating tension inside herself and let out a deep sigh.
"People like me, Evil, doesn't deserve gentle recognition?", she solidly commented. "We deserve to be barricade from the world, hmmm?", she added as she glances at Dovey. Dovey couldn't say anything. Lesso shook her head.
"We came to an agreement to live in balanced together, yet here you stand, Clarissa Dovey, Dean of Good, pulling down our scale." she pauses. "Good pulling down the scale. Isn't that ironic?", she vocalized bitterly. Dovey held her head down. Lesso walks up to her, leaving a painful gap between them. She stares at her in curiosity.
"Tell me, what do you truly think about me?", Lesso barked.
Dovey found this question to be absolutely absurd. However, instead of replying, she stayed quiet letting the strained silence cruelly ring out.
"Say something! How do you feel about me?"
Dovey felt herself on the verge of tears because she knew the silence had already answered for her. Lady Lesso nodded. "I see. I'll let you be then. It seems it will be for the best, right?", she strolled to the huge metallic doors. She yanked one of them open then slammed it shut.
A cool tear ran down the Dean of Good's warm cheek as she just watched her friend retreat from the meaningless room. She hated to admit she was afraid that Evil (mainly Lady Lesso) will develop into a sinister group worse than before. How could she trust Evil if all they did was damage her? How could she rebuild her friendship with Lady Lesso again? Dovey had no idea how to answer either question.
She was lost.
