Break

Lady Lesso had sunk into her black executive leather chair. Legs sharply crossed. Senselessly twirling a fountain pen between her middle and ring finger.

There she sat in a profound daze - her disturbed mind soaking in every emotion that she and Clarissa Dovey displayed the day before. Oh, god that name - Clarissa Dovey - each time she thought about that name or even worse Clarissa Dovey herself. She experienced much loathe throughout her heart. Well, the majority of her heart nevertheless. She found that somewhere inside, there was a hint of mercy toward Clarissa Dovey, Dean of Good. But why?

The clock hit 10. Messaging the first blare chime causes Lesso to wake up from her daydream. She was usually a few minutes early for her classes but today took a hold of her. Lesso rapidly went out of her classroom to start the school day.
-
Dovey stood behind a white marble desk with gold legs. She found herself lost in a strict trance, thinking about Lady Lesso. The redhead's suffering emerald eyes mirroring back into her own. In that moment it only felt like Dovey fell within an unapologetic, secretive abyss and there was no physical way to get out. She was afraid. Very afraid. Deep down, Dovey possessed a flaring hatred about being the redhead's foe. It felt like a knife twisting inside her heart. Currently, she had no knowledge that her polished, adequate students had already taken their seats.

"Professor Dovey", she heard a voice calling out but she didn't react. "Professor", the same voice exclaimed slightly louder. Dovey jerked. She falls back into reality. Right now, she knew she was safe here in a familiar space. Everything was okay for the present at last.

"Are you okay?", Agatha said with genuine concern.

"Oh of course, Ms. Pendragon! I am feeling tremendous today", Professor Dovey joyfully replied. "Okay, loves. I’m certain you are all aware about the dance on Saturday.”
This statement caused the students to happily chat amongst themselves.
“Okay. Silence please. I am happy that you all are excited. Today, I'll be teaching you suitable etiquettes”

Though, Professor Dovey wore a huge, sparkling smile. Agatha could tell she was faking happiness. She noticed a small rocky tone flowing along the blonde woman's words. It just wasn't Professor Dovey.

“First, I think…” Dovey brightly announces to the class.
Something’s wrong
“Uh I think we…” she anxiously repeats.
Are in danger
Suddenly, Dovey detected shaking from beneath her feet. She stares down at the floor and sees little pebbles bouncing. She stares.
“Professor Dovey, are you okay?” Agatha asks as she rises from her seat.
“I’m okay. Just give me one second.”, she responded with a low, frightened tone. “Just one second”
CRACK
The concrete floor violently breaks apart. Dovey screams. Agatha, Kiko, and Beatrix go over to Dovey.
“What’s wrong?” Kiko questioned.
“I’m so sorry. I will be right back”
Professor Dovey ran out of the room.

Lesso did not want to teach today. It was going to be too difficult for her to focus on lessons with a full mind. So she assigned the students a simple worksheet and when they finished they could dismiss. Everyone was done. The classroom was empty. She leaned against a desk. Her arms charmingly folded. She turned around to see papers sloppily placed all over her desk.

“Are you fuc-?”, she took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. “How hard is it to stack up papers?”, she irritably murmured.

As she organized her desk, she accidentally dropped a thick file. Across the middle in a bold font, read “Unit 4: Etiquettes “

Fucking hell, beauty princess.

The day after the quarrel, it was a proper day to plan. Dovey unsolicitedly walked her way into Lesso’s room with towers of folders. Although, her actions were galling for Lesso’s liking. Her presence was…acceptable. Could it be that she enjoyed the blond woman’s company? Perhaps. But Leonora Lesso did not want to face Clarissa Dovey. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not this soon. Three equal, musical knocks vibrated throughout the room. Lesso rushes to arrange the papers back into their home. She opens the door. There stood The Dean of Good. Lesso’s hand started to tighten on the door handle.

“I came here to- ”
“I already know why you are here, " Lesso said firmly, cutting her off.
“You do? Then can I please come in?”
“Rather you not”
Lesso can sense Dovey’s panic-stricken energy. She sighs.
“Oh alright.”
Lady Lesso moves aside allowing Dovey to step in. Dovey stops in the middle of the room, rubbing her hands. Lesso raises her eyebrow as she closes the door.
“Tell me what’s going on, princess? You look…pale”
Dovey blankly looked at her.
“Fine. Don't answer”
She walks to her desk to retrieve the file.
“Here’s your damn file, Dean. ”
Lesso turns to face Dovey but unexpectedly encounters Rafal.
“Get out”, her voice shakes.
“Oh Leonora. That is not a file, silly”
Lesso opened up her hand and saw a clear, edgy quartz. She shakes her head.
“No no! Get out of my head!”
“Honey, you know that’s not our balance project. Your vulnerability feeds me and my flexibility attractively accompanies you”, he maliciously chuckles.
“Damn it, Rafal! Haven’t you used me enough? What the hell do you want from me?”
“Break”
“What?”
The concrete floor violently breaks apart, swallowing Lesso into a dark pit. Her blood-curdling screams diminishing as she falls deeper and deeper. In a small hole, she can see Rafal laughing. Seconds later, the hole closes.
-
Professor Dovey stood ahead of Lady Lesso’s classroom door. She was hesitant to open the door but she felt something’s off. She unsolicitedly barged inside.
“Hello, Clarissa”, Rafal greeted with a soft smirk.
“Rafal? Where is Lesso?”, she barked.
“Hmm. Let’s see if I were Lady Lesso, where would I be?”
Rafal purposely itches his head with the quartz.
“Oh I forgot I had the key but what door could this unlock? Dovey, I’m positive you will be able to solve this puzzle.”
He tosses the quartz to Dovey.
“Where is she?”
“Good luck”, he vanishes.
“Damn it”, Dovey expressed.

Professor Dovey studied the tough quartz. She did not care about any obstacles she will have to go through to bring Lesso back. She just wanted her back.

She will be found.
