Tony gave Vision's body to SWORD

This is an interesting hypothesis. Tony selling Vision's body for his perfect lakeside life makes sense. If he can dismiss Steve's, Bruce's, Thor's, and Wanda's human rights by signing the Sokovia Accords to get back Pepper, how much would he really care about Vision, alive or dead? Tony didn't even bother to warn Vision that the Black Order was after him. So making a deal with Tyler Hayward would be even easier.

What if someone found out?

It was Ned who found it. Peter had freaked out after almost accidentally killing his classmates. The EDITH glasses were bad news. At first he was going to just hand them off to Quentin Beck and go back to being a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. But something made him stop to realize he didn't really know ANYTHING about Beck, the same way he didn't know ANYTHING about the glasses.

And, well, Peter DID have a guy in the chair. Who easily hacked into Mr. Stark's files.

The two first read through the specifications for EDITH.

Ned shook his head and said, "There's like, no restrictions on this thing AT ALL. You can spy on ANYONE."

Peter frowned and said, "And kill them too. What was Mr. Stark thinking?"

Ned started clicking into more folders and said, "What I don't get is how nobody noticed what he was doing. A lot of resources went into this."

Peter shrugged and said, "He has--had--a lot of money. That makes things happen."

Ned nodded and said, "Yeah, billionaires do seem to make most of their problems go away."

Then he clicked on the next file and gasped. Then he said, "I guess it wasn't just money."

The two teens peered at the Bill of Transfer. It stated that possession of the synthezoid known as Vision was passed to Tyler Hayward of an organization called SWORD.

Both of them sat back and looked at each other.

Peter frowned again and said, "That's gross."

He remembered the guy from the airport. He continued, "Vision was--he was a person. A hero."

Ned gestured at the screen and said, "Yeah. And Stark just sold him like a pile of scrap."

He clicked a video file in the same folder. Both boys watched as an unmarked SUV rolled into a grove of trees somewhere. There was a marker and a bench nearby. There was no sound.

Then five men got out. One of the men pulled a device out of the SUV and set it on the ground.

Peter swallowed as he saw the red-and-gold accents. That meant the device was probably something made by Tony Stark.

It unfolded into some kind of claw like you would see in a vending machine. It reached down and started digging. Ned fast-forwarded the file. Eventually there was a coffin-sized hole. The claw then pounded down a few times before reaching even deeper and then pulling out.

Peter swallowed as Vision's mangled body was brought up by the claw and dumped on the ground. The men folded up the machine, then tossed it and Vision's body into the vehicle. They got in and drove away.

Peter's fists clenched. He said, "Pull up the doc again. What did he get out of this?"

They looked again. The document stated that Tony Stark received a pardon from all violations of the Sokovia Accords and other crimes. He also was guaranteed no surveillance of his business or personal accounts, purchase history, or personal movements or communications.

Iron Man was also officially retired again.

Ned shook his head and said, "That's not right, what Stark did."

Peter nodded and said, "Yeah." Part of him was not surprised. He suspected for a while that Mr. Stark was mostly interested in making sure he got what HE wanted and didn't much care what it cost anyone else.

A part of him that felt used and way too old wondered if the universe had finally had enough of Mr. Stark avoiding any consequences of his actions.

Ned looked over at Peter. He asked, "So what do we do?"

Peter sat up and said, "People put up all these monuments and did murals and stuff because of Iron Man's snap, even though it was the Hulk whose snap brought us all back. I feel like they need to know the truth about Mr.--about what Stark did. The whole truth. This deal. EDITH--"

Ned looked up from where he'd started clicking again. He said grimly, "There's lots more, Pete."

He gestured at a video of Iron Man cutting off the Winter Soldier's arm. Both teens winced, then shuddered as they watched Stark then shoot the guy in the back and THEN kick the guy in the head when the guy was bleeding on the ground.

Ned shook his head. He said, "There's a whole folder labeled Ultron. It's not about the Avengers fighting it--it's Stark's DESIGNS for it."

Peter frowned and said, "If I'd known about that, I would NEVER have helped at the airport."

He straightened his shoulders and asked, "Can you leak this stuff without it coming back to bite us?"

Ned nodded and said, "Yeah. Give me a few hours and we won't leave a trace."

Peter said, "Okay. After that, let's dig into Quentin Beck. I don't feel like I can trust ANYBODY right now. We need somebody we can trust to help with EDITH so no one gets hurt."

Then he pulled out his phone and made a call to the one person he could ALWAYS count on--Aunt May.
