Chapter 17
You were having a conversation with one of your classmates, laughing and joking around. You didn't think much of it, just enjoying the company of a friend. But out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Glynda watching you with a dark expression.
As soon as you finished talking, Glynda pulled you aside, her grip on your arm tight. "Who was that?" she demanded, her tone sharp.
You were taken aback by her sudden aggression. "Just a friend," you said, trying to ease the tension.
Glynda's eyes narrowed. "I don't like the way she was looking at you," she growled. "And I don't like the way you were laughing with her."
You could feel the jealousy radiating off of Glynda in waves. You tried to reassure her, telling her that there was nothing to worry about, but she didn't seem to believe you.
The rest of the day was tense, with Glynda shooting glares at anyone who dared to look your way. You couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration and confusion. You had never seen this side of her before.
That night, as you lay in bed, you heard a soft knock on your door. You opened it to find Glynda standing outside, her expression softer than it had been earlier.
"I'm sorry," she said quietly. "I know I was being ridiculous earlier. I just...I don't like the idea of anyone else having your attention."
You smiled at her, reaching out to take her hand. "You don't have to worry," you said gently. "I'm all yours."
Glynda's face softened, and she leaned in to kiss you softly. The jealousy that had been gnawing at her seemed to dissipate, and she pulled you into a tight embrace.
"I love you," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.
You smiled, feeling grateful for the intensity of her love. "I love you too," you said, wrapping your arms around her. "No one else could ever come between us."
