Chapter 1
Luz has a secret. She writes her feelings into a diary. Sometimes it's wholesome but it's mostly angst.
She doesn't want to vent to someone and burden them with her problems so she just writes in her diary. Today was a ruff day for her. Once she walked into the school she got shoved into the wall and at lunch her food was stolen and she didn't want to waste her mom's money.
They were already tight on money because of the extra 4 kids in the house. All Luz wanted to do once she walked through the door was take a nap or make a snack but when she walked in she was dragged into the living room by Gus. When she tried to politely leave she was shamed into staying with Gus's puppy eyes.
Luz was tired and hungry so after she begged Willow into distracting Gus Luz went into the kitchen to make herself a sandwich. After eating she headed upstairs to take a small nap but when she walked in Amity was watching mewtube on her laptop and to luz's luck she didn't have headphones and she didn’t want to ruin Amity's mood by asking her to turn it off so she just shut the door and went to the basement but Hunter was sewing something so she just gave up.
Luz texted her mom and asked if she could take a nap in her bed for a bit and waited for a response. While she waited she did some homework even though she didn't understand any of it. She finally got a response 30 minutes later and when she saw the yes she ran into her mom's room, jumped on the bed and took a nap.

Luz woke up 30 minutes later to her mom shaking her awake and saying something but Luz couldn't understand her. Luz mumbled out a what and her mom repeated herself stating that dinner was downstairs and that she should go eat.
Luz went downstairs towards the kitchen with her mother in tow. Luz was on autopilot mode since she just woke up. She sat down at the table around everyone and started to eat.
After dinner Luz excused herself to her room. Once she was in her room she grabbed a pen and her diary and started to write about how bad her day was until she saw on the previous page a different colored pen that looked like a note and like Amity's handwriting. It said " I'm sorry that you failed your test. I know you tried your hardest." Luz didn't know if she should be mad or happy. That note means that Amity was snooping in her diary and ignoring her boundaries but it also showed that Amity cared. What should she do?
