Awake
Waking up, Koray found themselves in an unfamiliar area. That first thought that went to their head was ‘What’s going on? This hasn't happened to you before, Right?’ . Looking around, They noticed they were in a cafe in a city. This confused them. ‘Weren’t you just inside your room? How did you end up here?’ Snapping Koray out of their thoughts, the current worker of this cafe put a tray with a cup of coffee and a snack-size cake.
“You're Koray, Right?" They asked in a joking manner. "Your Order Has Just Finished.”
Koray thanked the worker, despite the fact that they didn’t order a snack-size cake. ‘ You didn’t order any of this. You just woke up, where are you? What is happening?’ Koray glanced at the nametag the worker was wearing as they turned away. What they saw shocked them. “Tym(mi)”. They were just about to call them back, when the shop door opened, catching the attention of both Tym and Koray. 'They must know each other', Koray deduced. They only guess that due to Tym’s face turning into a frown of false annoyance.
“What?" The stranger held the "a" for a bit. "Did ya miss me or somethin’?”
There was a weird familiarity to this voice, but Koray never heard it before. They heard Tym sigh, before asking in a seemingly annoyed tone,
“What Are You Getting?”
Koray didn’t hear what the person said, but whatever it was it was enough for Tym to filp them off. The person soon turned their attention to Koray. Taking the seat on the other side of their table, Koray noticed that they had a mask covering the top half of their face.
“You're new. Nice to meet you. Name’s Belief.”
They doubted that was their actual name. ‘You wondered if that was a code name’. With a bit of hesitation, Koray spoke.
“Koray (Y/N), they/them. Nice to meet you too?”
Belief let out a little laugh, seemingly amused.
“I use any, but she/he works for today.” She responds with a smile.
“Coffee For Belief “
As Tym called out for Belief to get her coffee, she softly smiled at Koray. They watched as she went to grab her coffee, chuckling at the writing on the side of the coffee.
“Thanks kiddo”
“I Am Not A Fucking Kid.”
Koray saw Tym roll his eyes as he walked away. Belief had now walked back, taking her seat in front of them. Koray glanced at the cup, and stifled an amused smile. Instead of saying Belief, it said, “Belyif”. They knew that Tym could spell pretty well, and only mis-spelled a word on purpose.
“So 'Ray, how long are you planning on staying? Tym talks a lot about you.”
Koray could have sworn they heard Tym mutter a few swears before shouting that they weren’t staying long, just a few days. ‘You wonder if you are dreaming, seeing everything feels like a dream.’
“You seem tired.”
As Beleif spoke, they noticed everything had frozen. A heavy wave of dreariness suddenly hit them, and in a few seconds, they were out.
—------------------------------------------------------
You woke up with a start, only to be jumped on by Tyler.
“Wake Up,” He spoke, holding the "up". “Elliott is here! We haven’t seen her in forever!!!” He says that like it’s been years, despite Elliott visiting them around six months ago.
You groan in annoyance of being jumped on, but got up anyway. You tell Tyler to leave, which he does quickly. You get dressed, putting on your (Favourite Colour) hoodie. As you head out of your room, you hear the sound of ruffing feathers and a loud “oof” coming from the ground floor. You peek your head around the flight of stairs, thanking the being who thought it was a good idea to put a wall in front of the stairs. It wasn’t like you didn’t want to be seen by Elliot, but you could feel something was off. You thought about going back up the stairs before,
“Ko’! There you are!”
You felt your face flush with slight embarrassment, you had forgotten the nickname she called you back when you both were younger. You moved from behind the stairs, leaning on the wall, only to start glowing a light peach colour, and in mere seconds, was embraced in a bear hug you knew you were going to have a hard time getting out of. After a few minutes, you asked Elliot if she let you go, and, with some pouting, she did. You look around, and notice that both Tymmi and Tyler were playing with some little plushies, one a raccoon with little wings, and the other is a goat with wings of a bee. You assume that Elliott brought them, seeing as you don’t remember seeing the toy as you helped clean their room a few days ago.
“So, what you've been up to lil Ko’” You held back the urge to retaliate at being called ‘lil’, seeing as you weren’t that much shorter, just by one or two inches (Two point fifty four - five point eight cm). You tell her most of what’s been happening, leaving out things like the blue flame and Robin somehow knowing where you lived. You don’t want to give her more things to worry about.
You take a step back, and glance at what Elliott was wearing, out of curiosity. She made a point of wearing something different almost every time they saw her, even if you saw a few hours ago.
Elliott was wearing a light brown jacket with a blue bird stitched to the right sleeve, and jet black pants with several pockets. Pockets always made her happy, and you could see why. Her hair was half braided into a messy bun, partially covered by a light yellow-ish orange beanie. You notice that she redyed her hair again, with one side being her natural dirty blond, and the other being a crystal white.
You slightly jumped at the sudden movement of Elliott wings, which you could tell she moved to show off a bit more. She was a mix of two different hybrids, A spider and an avian. She usually in her spider form, seeing as that was the form she had at birth. You were the first to find out she had wings. Her wings are a gradient of deep brown to black, with white flecks scattered everywhere.
You fell backwards as a wing smacked you in the face, causing you to let out a startled squeak. In return, you smacked the back of her head, running off, laughing.
“Oi! Come back here you little shit-” She called out, pretending to be annoyed, running after you.
