chapter 2
The next morning Keith woke up on the couch underneath Lance. Lance was still asleep so he waited to eat to not wake him up.
After about an hour or so Lance woke up and apologized for sleeping on Keith. "It's ok. I really don't mind." Lance shrugged and waited on the couch for Keith to come back with food.
Keith came back with some eggs and set them in front of Lance. "I hope this is ok. You don't talk much so I don't really know what you like." Lance looked down and whispered a sorry.
"Don't apologize. You're still getting used to me." Keith ate his eggs and Lance ate most. "Are you gonna sleep in my room tonight? Or out here with me again?"
"Can you...can you sleep in your room with me. I don't think I can be alone right now." Lance was quiet and spoke slow. "Of course I will. I need to go pick up Shiro's gift at the mall. You can come or if you don't feel safe you can stay here. Shiro will be up soon and I'm sure Matt is gonna come over."
"Who's Matt?" Lance wanted Keith to stay but he didn't want to go out. He was still scared Lotor will find him. "Shiro's boyfriend. He's nice. I promise" Lance nodded and looked away.
"I mean it. I'll leave in half an hour. Shiro will be up by then. Wanna watch TV till then?"
"Can we?" "Yea what do you wanna watch? I've got like every platform." Lance shrugged and Keith put on Pixels. Half an hour later Shiro woke up and sat on the couch and Matt came over.
"Alright, I'm gonna leave now. Don't worry about the two of them they'll probably just oogle at each other the whole time."
Shiro scoffed. Knowing that's exactly what they'll do. Lance nodded, not taking his eyes away from the TV. Keith left and walked to the mall.
While he was there he saw the man Lance was with when they met. "Hey." The man walked over to Keith. "There was a guy with me here about two days ago. I saw you here and I was wondering if you knew where he went."
"No. I'm sorry. I haven't seen him. What's his name maybe I can help look for him." Keith played along not wanting the guy to know that he was lying.
"His name is Lance. This is what he looks like. He's my boyfriend and I'm really worried about him." The man looked nice, but with whatLance said, Keith knew it was all an act.
"I'll let you know if I ever see him. What's your name?" "Lotor." Keith nodded and waved goodbye.
Keith got Shiro's gift and started to leave when he realized Lotor was following him. He walked "home". He actually went to Pidge's house so that Lotor wouldn't know where he and Lance were staying.
Keith knocked on the door and Pidge opened it. "Matt's not here." "I know. But there is some dude following me and I can't let him follow me home. Pretend you're my sister."
Pidge laughed. "I practically am. Shiro and Matt are getting married." Keith didn't know that. Why wouldn't Shiro tell him. "Wait what?" "Shiro and Matt are getting married?"
Pidge went pale. "Shit. Ok well now you know. Shiro was gonna wait to tell everyone buy Matt spilled when they got engaged. I'm the only one who knows."
Keith nodded. "Is that the guy?" Keith looked behind him and nodded. "Alright come inside." Pidge pulled Keith inside and shut the door.
"Why can't you let him follow you? Did he do something? Or trying to at least?"
Keith shook his head. "No but I did kinda kidnap his boyfriend."
"Excuse me? Keith that's illegal." Pidge didn't look phased, but Keith saw through it.
"Just hear me out. The guy was super abusive and his boyfriend is like almost did. And he didn't fight it. He even seemed happy about it." Pidge raised their eyebrow.
"Is he cute?" "Pidge!" "What? Is he not?"
"Yes. He is. Kinda. I don't know I met him
two days ago."
"Would you date him?"
"Pidge!" "Stop yelling at me!"
Keith just sighed and looked out the window. "Can you drive me home. I don't want him following me again." Pidge nodded and grabbed their keys.
"You can come in and say hi to Matt. He's probably staying over." Pidge nodded and got out of the car.
"I'm back. And I brought a friend." Lance looked at Keith and smiled a bit then looked at Pidge and dropped it. Pidge leaned towards Keith and whispered. "So he is cute."
"Shut up." Keith walked to the couch and handed Shiro his present. He sat next to Lance and put his arm on the back of the couch.
Lance leaned into his arm and relaxed a little. "That's Matt's sister. She's harmless, and gay as hell. She probably will ask a few questions though."
Lance nodded and leaned more into Keith. Shiro opened his gift and smiled. It was a shark tooth necklace. "Dude this is perfect my other one broke."
Keith clicked his tongue and sent out finger guns. Lance laughed a little at that and Keith looked at him.
They looked at each other and smiled. Pidge who sitting on the chair across from them snickered. "Quit being gay I wanna play a game."
"Pidge! Shut up!" "What? You're gay he looks gay enough. You're practically cuddling. And you just stared into each other's eyes like the rest of us didn't exist. That's gay."
"You would know all about that wouldn't you?" Pidge gasped and through a hand over her heart dramatically then smiled. "Thanks for noticing dropout."
Keith rolled his eyes and looked at Lance again. "Any games in mind? You can choose what your comfortable with."
"Never have I ever? It doesn't require too much talking." Keith smiled and nodded. "Alright were playing never have I ever."
"Isn't that a drinking game? You said you didn't drink."
"We can play without getting drunk Pidge. Put up 10 fingers." Everyone put up 10 fingers.
Matt went first. "Never have I ever...had a girlfriend." Keith, Matt and Lance put a finger down.
"Never have I ever kidnapped someone." Keith glared at Pidge. "C'mon Keith put that finger down."
"I didn't kidnap Lance. I didn't kidnap you right?" Lance shook his head and Keith looked at Pidge and laughed.
"Never have I ever gotten engaged and didn't tell my own brother." Shiro looked at Keith then at Pidge then at Matt.
"You didn't tell him right?" "No only Pidge. She would've known either way." Shiro looked at Pidge and glared.
"Ok it just kinda happened ok. Someone was following Keith and he came over and told me to pretend to be his sister and I said 'That won't be hard with Shiro and Matt getting married'."
Shiro sighed. "It's fine. Who's next?" Everyone looked at Lance.
"You can tell me what you wanna say if you don't wanna talk to them yet." Lance nodded and whispered in Keith's ear.
Keith smiled and nodded. "Never have I ever told my sister that she was adopted then tried to send her to Canada."
Lance laughed and Keith smiled. "You know you're supposed to say things you haven't done, right?" Lance stopped laughing and looked at Keith.
"What?" Keith laughed. "You have a sister? How old is she? What's her name? Can I meet her?"
Pidge wanted to meet Lance's sister incase she was their type. "She's 15. And I mean I guess. I haven't seen her in forever though. Also her name is Olivia."
Pidge smiled. "She's my age. You got a picture?" Lance nodded and grabbed his phone.
"I didn't even know you had that." Lance looked for a picture. "I blocked Lotor on it and turned off my location. Ah here's one."
Lance showed the photo to Pidge and the others. "She's pretty." Lance smiled and turned his phone.
"Gimme your phone." Keith held out his hand. Lance looked at Keith a little scared but handed him his phone.
"Relax. I'm putting my number in it. I work Monday through Friday so I won't be here. You'll be able to call me if you need something.
Keith handed Lance his phone back and looked at the others. "What do we do now?"
Shiro leaned forward so he could see Keith and grinned. "Movie night." Matt did a little fist pump and Pidge groaned.
"You choose the worst movies I'm picking the first one." Pidge grabbed the remote and moved in front of the TV.
They put on the first Jurassic Park movie and grabbed blankets and pillows for everyone.
They only found three so some people will have to share.
"Give me the red one. That's mine." Keith grabbed the red one from Pidge and placed it on top of him and Lance.
"Wow, I'm surprised. You hate sharing your blanket." Matt and Pidge looked at each other and then at Lance and Keith.
"Shut up. This is different." Keith moved closer to Lance and pushed him back till he was laying on his chest.
"Why? Because it's your boyfriend?" Shiro elbowed Matt. Keith glared at the two then back at the TV.
"He's not my boyfriend." Lance stayed quiet through all the bickering. Not really wanting to get into an argument.
Lance and Pidge fell asleep half way through the movie. "I'm gonna bring him in my room. I'll be right back."
Keith picked up Lance and placed him on the bed in his room. After putting the comforter over him he started to leave to go back into the living room but felt a tug on his arm.
He looked at Lance to see the tan boy wide awake. "Can you stay in here? I don't think I'm ready to be completely alone yet..."
Keith smiled. "Sure let me just tell Shiro and the others." Lance nodded and Keith left to tell everyone.
"I'm gonna go to bed. Lance doesn't wanna be alone."
"Yea. Go snuggle up with your boyfriend." Pidge winked. Keith sighed and walked back into his room.
He got into bed and laid down next to Lance. He kept his arm form laying on top of anything in case Lance ever wanted to scoot closer.
He did. Almost immediately Keith felt a weight on his arm and breaths on his chest.
He wrapped his other arm around Lance to get comfortable. He would be lying if he said he didn't like this.
Lance woke up around 1am from a nightmare he gets constantly. It happened the night before but not as bad. Tonight he wasn't able to breathe and had tears running down his face.
Keith woke up this time. "Lance?" Keith's eyes widened and he sat up. "Omg are you ok? What happened?" Keith slapped his head in his mind.
"Right can't breathe." Keith pulled Lance into his lap and took very deep breaths. "Breathe with me." Inhale...exhale...inhale...exhale.
Lance calmed his breathing and stopped crying a few minutes later.
