Rescue me

T.K P.O.V 

This night was terrible. I couldn't sleep at all. We all were staying at Eddies house. We didn't want to leave him alone. We all were up the whole night. Staring at the wall. Sometimes we started talking about something. My dad wasn't able to find out if Taylor is alive or not...we doesn't want to call her parents...it's bad enough...Maddie texted us this night that Buck is out of surgery and everything went well. Small plates inside his lower jaw and they fixed his right hand. He's able to talk, just not able to eat everything. She's staying with him this night. Ist 7am I get up. I go downstairs and sit down outside. After a few minutes Eddie and Carlos come downstairs as well. 

Eddie: couldn't sleep anymore? *mumbles* 

T.K: no *sighs* couldn't stop thinking about everything...

Carlos: i can't stop thinking about Taylor *sighs* 

Eddie: come on *gets up* we are going 

T.K: where? 

Eddie: the hospital. I need to know what happened to Taylor. 

Carlos: okay lets go *gets up as well*

T.K: I'm driving. 

Eddie: you're the only one with a car *laughs softly* my car is still at this camp hall *sighs* we need to get it later 

We put on our shoes and drive to the hospital. We go inside and look out for a nurse. 

Eddie:excuse me 

Nurse: yeah? How can I help you guys *smiles* 

T.K: yesterday was a shooting at our high school. A friend of mine got hurt...we want to visit her. 

Nurse: I'm sorry to hear that. What's her name? 

Carlos: that's the point. Two girls got shot. One of them is dead *sighs* we don't know which one 

Eddie: their names are Taylor Kelly and Isabella Foster. Could you look after these names? 

Nurse: *looks up their names* I didn't found an Isabella Foster but, yeah. There it is. Taylor Kelly is laying on the ICU. Room 4632. 

T.K: thank god she's alive *hugs Carlos tight* 

Eddie: are we allowed to see her? 

Nurse: no I'm sorry. 

Carlos: but could you tell us what injuries she has? 

Nurse: I don't know

T.K: please. Her boyfriend is here as well and he thinks she's dead. 

Nurse: okay but don't tell anyone *sighs* she has multiple shot wounds, one in her shoulder, two hit her lungs and one hit her right kidney. They took her kidney out, stabilized her shoulder. Now the bad part. She's not breathing herself. Her lungs are hurt pretty bad. We don't know if she's going to make it but the doctors are positive. 

Eddie; thank you so much. Another question. In which room is Evan Buckley? 

Nurse: room 3723. 

Carlos: thank you 

T,K: have a nice day *smiles* 

We go to the elevator. 

Eddie: thank god she's alive. Now we can tell buck a positive message. 

Carlos: he thinks she's dead because of what Nick told him...

T.K: i didn't want to tell him yesterday that one of the girls is alive...I was too scared that he would kill the girl...

Eddie: definitely...I'm glad that our principal said that we don't have to visit school this last week *sighs* how can I join the military Saturday *sighs* I can't fly away now...my best friend got shot and, and...his girlfriend is on the ICU...not knowing if she ever wakes up again...her best friend died...

T.K: yeah *sighs* gosh...three teachers are dead...two students...it feels so unrealistic...

Carlos: come on we are here *knocks* 

Maddie: come in 

T.K: Hey *smiles softly* 

Maddie: hey you three. He's finally asleep. We had a rough night. He's not over the fact that Taylor is dead *sighs* 

Eddie: then we have kind of good news. *sits down just like the others* 

T.K: while the shooting we were in a classroom next to the hallway where it happened *sighs* multiple shots fell and when the S.W.A.T. Team arrived they said that one of the girls is dead and one is alive. 

Carlos: we asked a nurse about Taylor and Isabella. Taylor is alive. Sadly Isabella didn't make it...he shot her right through the head *quietly* 

Eddie: Taylor is on the ICU...4 shot wounds but she's alive. They took out her right kidney, stabilized her shoulder but her lungs are hurt pretty bad. She's not breathing by herself. We are not allowed to see her 

T.K: we are just glad that she's alive... 

Maddie: thank god *squeezes bucks hand* he was...I didn't know how to calm him down...he goes back to the psychiatric center next week. Luckily bucks injuries aren't that bad as we thought... 

Eddie: I wanted to protect him...I wasn't fast enough *sighs* 

Maddie: Eddie it's not your fault. You were on his list as well. Did he tell you why? 

Carlos: we only know why he wanted to kill Taylor, why he killed Isabella and why he wanted to kill Buck *sighs* 

T.K: to be honest I don't want to think about it *sighs* 

Buck: *mumbles* she's alive? 

Maddie: hey you're awake. I thought you're asleep 

Buck: no *slowly sits up* is she alive? 

Eddie: yes she is. 

Buck: *wipes away a few tears* I need to see her *gets out of bed* 

Maddie: no. No. You will lay down again now. Buck. I'm serious. Later. First of all you will get some sleep. 

Buck: but 

Maddie: no. You lay down now and get some sleep. I will grab some coffee and be right back. *leaves the room* 

Eddie: buck we are not allowed to see her. Probably because of the situation. 

T.K: i guess only her parents are allowed to see her. 

Carlos: we are just glad that you're okay. 

Buck: but...but...

Eddie: buck hey. You need to rest as well. You had surgery. I'll stay here as long as possible. 

Buck: take care of yourself out there *looks at him* 

Eddie: I will but I'm not sure if I should go...if I can go 

Buck: yes you can. 

T.K: Eddie you will do a great job out there. 

Carlos: Eddie don't say that. You will be a great soldier. We all believe in you 

Eddie: I'll miss you guys so much *sobs* 

T.K: we will Miss you too *smiles* I hope you visit us *grins* 

Eddie: sure *smiles* and I want that all of you finish school and follow your dreams 

Buck: *looks at them* I know what i want to do after school. I want to help people. I am thinking about becoming a firefighter

Eddie: that's great *smiles* I think you will be a great one.

T.K: we can do this together? I was thinking about becoming a paramedic *smiles* 

Carlos: if I'm able to do it, I want to become a police officer. 

Maddie: sounds like you all have great plans *smiles and hands everyone a coffee* 

Buck: i want a coffee too 

Maddie: you're not allowed to. You get just water and you should sleep now. 

Buck Rolls his eyes and lays back down. After a few minutes he's asleep. We talk a little bit with Maddie before we need to go home. It's been a few very rough days. I sit down on the couch. Normally I would smoke something now but...it's not right...I'm clean for 6 months now. I sigh and turn on the tv. I fall asleep watching a show. When I wake up again I hear someone in the kitchen. I get up and see my dad. 

Owen: Hey *smiles* you hungry? I didn't want to wake you up. 

T.K: yeah I had a rough night. I'm starving. 

Owen: did you find out what's with the girl? 

T.K: yeah it's Taylor. She's alive but her injuries are bad. We visited buck today. Dad. I think I should talk with you about something.

Owen: sure about what? 

T.K: last summer i started to take drugs *sighs* it started with a few times on a party but it got worse. I took it everyday, at home, at school *sighs* after Bucks and Carlos accident I decided to get clean. I am clean for 6 months now. I just thought I should tell you because *sighs* I was thinking about taking something again because these last days were rough. But I didn't. 

Owen: T.K why didn't you tell me? 

T.K: because I *sighs* I was embarrassed. I was ashamed of myself. I was going through a phase. 

Owen: *kisses his head* I'm glad that you told me about it and I'm proud that you are clean. What about we spend an afternoon together. Just us two. 

T.K: sounds Good *smiles* 

I quickly get up and change. It's been a while since we spend an afternoon together.
