The traveller takes Amber to Liyue. There, she meets Xiao again- they talk a little, and Xiao is gone, swift as he is.
The traveller and Amber split up, traveller goes around helping people and Amber explores.
Basically, Amber gets into a pickle with a geo lawachurl, and as it nearly strikes her pretty heavily, she gets a shield! It is of course, Zhonglis. She is surprised, and wonders who gave it to her. But, knowing it won’t last forever, she makes use of it and lands some particularly heavy hits to it. She eventually kills it.
The mystery shielder had not revealed themselves yet, so Amber wasn’t sure who had decided to give her one- and then she saw a pillar. It was not too different to archaic structures she saw in Liyue picture books, which confused her.
It wasn’t here before, did someone just decide to move it here? But that would be strange. What would be the point? She would have noticed, too.
Then, she heard the distinctive grunt of a hilichurl- expecting it to come after her, she charged her shot and waited for a good opportunity- well, it didn’t come, because it was quickly struck down… and it seemed that a lot of other hilichurls had met the same fate.
Just who was capable in doing this in such short time? Was it… the same one who gave her a shield too? And the summoner of such a pillar? What an extraordinary individual…
Of course, he looked extraordinary too. Intense and golden eyes with red lining them- combined with his extravagant clothing, too, she would not be so surprised if this man turned out to be a god of some sort. God of elegance, if there is such a thing? Anyway…
The shield that he supposedly supplied her with had been casted a few minutes ago, had not yet disappeared. Most of the people she had met who could produce shields- she tried once, too, to help Collei- weren’t able to hold a shield for this long… it had absorbed a lot of damage too.
