Chapter 22
“So Spring Break is coming up,” your mom throws out at dinner one night.
“That is true.” You take a bite of the pad thai. You hadn’t really thought about Spring Break because you never really did anything for it.
“Have you made any plans for it?” Your dad asks, wanting to announce what Pepper and him have planned, but trying to bite the surprise back.
“Probably hang out with Peter. Maybe have a girls day with Betty, Astrid and MJ. Haven’t made any specific plans though,” you say with a shrug.
“How would you feel about taking a trip?” Pepper asks.
“Like a day trip? Sure. I’d be down for that.”
“I wanna take a trip!” Morgan says as she tries to stab her pad thai with her fork.
“We were thinking maybe a little longer than a day trip.” Tony says, setting his fork down to focus on you, trying to gauge your reaction.
“How long were you thinking?” You ask as Morgan asks another important question.
“Where are we going?”
“We were thinking about a week-long trip to Disney. What do you think?”
“World or Land?” You ask. If you’re giving up your spring break, you wanna know which state you’re going to.
“World. I have it from good sources that a certain someone wanted to go there.” Tony says. “So how does that sound?”
“I could be down for that.” You say nonchalantly, as if your inner child isn’t freaking out.
“We’re going to see Mickey?” Morgan says, food ignored now.
“We’re going to see Mickey.” Your mom confirms.
“Can Petey come?” She asks.
“That was going to be a surprise but yes we were going to invite Peter too.”
“Wait, really?” You ask, surprised that your dad was going to bring your boyfriend on a family trip.
“It’s not like he’s been to Disney either.” Your dad shrugs like it’s no big deal, but it is to you.
“You’re the best.” You say with a smile.
“Hear that Pep? I’m the best.” You roll your eyes at your dad. You almost threaten to take it back, but you aren’t completely back to the feeling you had where you would tease your dad. Not after the last few months.
“Does Peter know?”
“May does, Peter not yet. I was going to tell him when he comes over tomorrow. Wanted to tell you two first. That means you have to not say anything to Petey until I talk with him ok Morguna?” Your dad says to your sister.
“It’s a secret!” She holds her pointer up in front of her lips showing she gets it.
“Exactly.”
That’s how you, your family, and your boyfriend ended up heading to Florida after school let out for break. Betty and her mom are heading to California to visit her grandparents, MJ is staying in NYC, and Ned is going to Jersey to stay with his cousins. Astrid’s college has a different spring break so you’ll hang out with her when you get back from Florida. But right now, you’re flying to Florida on your dad’s jet- or well technically, your family’s jet. Weird- you have a jet.
“What are you thinking about?” Peter asks from next to you. He had been scrolling through Twitter on his Spider-Man account, but your silence was getting to him.
“Thinking about how I have a private jet. Never really realized that until now.” His hand crosses over the armrest to intertwine with your fingers.
“Part of being a Stark right?”
“I guess. The being rich part doesn’t really hit me until moments like this.” You admit. Morgan is sitting across the jet with your mom and dad. They had let you and Peter sit by yourselves to have some space.
“So you have some money and a jet. It’s not that big of a deal.” Peter shrugs. “It’s part of being a Stark. But you also get a fantastic family which is the bigger part.”
“A fantastic family who did all my packing for this trip.” You can’t help but laugh. He’s more happy to hear it again after so long.
“Wait… really?”
“I mean I packed my makeup and like hair stuff. But Mom bought a bunch of shirts and stuff for the parks. So I have no idea what clothes she packed for the trip. The only outfit I picked for the whole trip is this,” you motion to the white Pink Floyd Tour ‘73 shirt and denim shorts you wore to school today, “and a couple of dresses for the nicer nights we’re going to dinner. Oh and pjs. Other than that, I trust my mom. She packed while I was at school today.”
“Here I was thinking you would have packed days ago.”
“I did, for the stuff she let me pack.” You shrug. “To be fair, she did the same thing for Morgan. It might just be Pepper Stark’s way of doing stuff.” You turn your eyes from looking at your boyfriend to looking out the window at the sky flying away. You’ve only been on a plane once before and that was to go to a funeral for an uncle you didn’t know well. And a funeral is the last thing you want to think of. This is a much more exciting adventure. It’s Disney World after all!
Day One- Magic Kingdom
“Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! We’re going to Disney!” Morgan is jumping on your bed as she yells out her excitement.
“We are going to Disney.” You repeat her statement as you try to rub the sleep from your eyes. Glancing at your phone you see it’s only seven thirty. “How about you go tell Mom and Dad?”
“Come with me?” Morgan asks.
“I’m going to go wake up Peter.” You say, knowing that Peter will offer warm hugs, and maybe you can fall back asleep for a few more minutes. You slide your feet onto the carpet and walk towards the room where your boyfriend is asleep. Opening the door just a crack, you peek in to see him sleeping. He looks peaceful. So instead of saying anything, you slide into the room, and close the door as quietly as you can. You reach over to pull up the covers on the right side of the bed and slide in. Instinctively, his arms wrap around you.
“Mmm, morning.” His whispers, not opening his eyes, but placing kisses on your forehead.
“Hi. Morgan’s too excited to sleep anymore. So I came here to escape in here.”
“‘ime is it?” His gravelly voice asks.
“Little after seven thirty. So we’ll probably have to get up soon, but until then…” You trail off as you curl a little further into his warmth. His arms wrap a little tighter around you.
“I’m not interrupting something, am I? Like you both supposed to be sleeping in separate beds?” Your dad asks from the doorway.
“We did sleep in separate beds. Ask Morgan. She woke me up, and I came to wake Peter up.”
“Doesn’t look like much waking up is happening. In fact, it looks like more sleeping is happening.”
“Technically, we’re both awake.” Peter says, opening one eye before blinking it shut away from the lights your dad had turned on.
“Well how about we see some getting out of bed. Morgan’s too excited about going to Magic Kingdom. Breakfast in ten. Mom put your clothes on your bed, kiddo.” Tony turns from the door before adding, “Door stays open until you leave Y/N.”
“Of course.” You roll your eyes, but lean into Peter’s shoulder. It’s not like you’re doing anything that you’d be embarrassed by, so the door being opened is no big problem. “I should probably go get dressed.” You admit after a few moments.
“I probably should too.” Peter says, but you make no moves to move away from him. This is only the second time you both have been around each other in the morning after waking up. And you’re honestly so blissed out in this moment that you don’t want to move. But Peter knows if you both don’t start moving, Tony will come back. “Come on babe, we got to move if we want to go to Disney.”
That makes you sit up. “You’re right, I guess.”
“Morgan would be so disappointed if she has to miss Magic Kingdom because we’re still sleeping.”
“Once again, you’re right.” Peter sits up so he can kiss your cheek. “I’ll meet you in the kitchen?”
“I’ll see you there in a few.” He watches as you climb out of his bed in your too big Pink Floyd t-shirt and black athletic shorts to walk back to your own room. May had surprised Peter with a couple new Disney themed shirts to wear at the parks so he pulls out a red shirt that reads Hakuna Matata on it with Pumba, Timon, and Simba on it. Seems like a good shirt for Magic Kingdom. He throws on a pair of jeans and slips into a pair of well worn converse. After brushing his teeth, he makes his way into the kitchen to find Tony making eggs, toast, and cutting up some fruit for breakfast. With no juicer, there’s no green juice in sight, something that Peter knows you’ll either rejoice or make jokes about. Peter steps around Tony to where the coffee pot sits and starts to brew a cup.
“I know you don’t drink coffee-”
“I don’t sir.”
“So what are you doing?”
“Making some for Y/N. She hates being up early.” Tony forces the smile that wants to break free down and instead just nods. “So do I need to worry about you crawling into my daughter’s bed while her sister is there?” Tony asks, even though he’s pretty sure he already knows the answer.
“What? No- of course not. We don’t do that.” Tony raises an eyebrow. “She came into my room this morning. I didn’t invite her to do that or know she was going to do that or anything like that. I would never do that with Morgan there. Or especially with the fact that-”
“Kid. I’m not trying to give you a heart attack. I just don’t want to come in and find the two of you asleep together more often than not? Capisce?”
“Of course Tony- Mr. Stark- Sir.” You come into the kitchen at the end of this conversation and roll your eyes at this.
“Dad, stop messing with Peter. That’s my job.”
“Dating and evil villains are my prerogatives.” Tony reminds you as he pulls the eggs off the stove. You can’t help but roll your eyes once again before leaning over to kiss Peter’s cheek. He passes you a cup of coffee, doctored to your preference.
“Thank you.” You say before taking a sip.
“Thought you could use it after your early morning wake up.” You sit down next to him at the breakfast bar and Tony slides matching plates in front of you and your boyfriend.
“What no green juice?” You tease.
“They missed the note about the juicer apparently. I’ll send an order for one to be here by the time we get back.”
“Dad, we're only going to be here for a week. Skipping a week of green juice isn’t that big of a deal.”
“We’ll use it at other times. It’ll be worth it to get it.” You furrow your brow.
“Are we going to put it on the jet and take it home or something?”
“I figure the next times we come here it will be worth it to have it.” Your dad says as he works on making plates for your mom, sister, and himself.
“Next time?” You say, thinking over what he said. “Wait a second, I thought we were renting this house for the week?”
“It was a better investment to just buy the house.”
“We own this house?” You ask as your mom walks into the kitchen.
“Ah so you told her after all.” Pepper says as she leans over to kiss your forehead. “Morning sweetheart.”
“Were you going to tell me at all?”
“Eventually yes. The deed will eventually be in your name anyway.” Your dad shrugs, placing your mom’s food across the bar as well as a plate for Morgan. “Where’s Madam Secretary?”
“Brushing her teeth. She’ll be out in a moment.”
“My name? Why would the deed be in my name?” You ask.
“‘Cause I have plenty of houses in my name and I figure putting a few in your and Morgan’s names makes sense. It’s a better set up financially anyway. I can map it out on paper to explain it all when we’re back home.” Tony says as he takes his own plate and sits on the other side of Peter.
“Fine, but I don’t love that you bought a house that you plan to put in my name.”
“I had a feeling you might not. That’s why I wasn’t planning to tell you on the first day of our Disney trip. But I promise you, we’re going to use it as a family more than I expect you to use it for you.”
It’s not until you actually get to the park that Peter realizes that you and Morgan are wearing basically matching white shirts. The only difference is the color of the writing on the shirts. Your’s pink, her’s teal reads ‘Tinkerbell & Periwinkle, Anna & Elsa, Anastasia & Drizella, Nani & Lilo, You & Me’. It’s a sweet shirt for the first day of Disney. And Peter is pretty sure that Tony will be the first one to share a picture of it on social media.
Turns out Peter wasn’t wrong. Pepper and Tony insisted on some pictures in front of the castle. Family pictures, shots of you and Peter, and then a few of you and Morgan in your matching shirts. However the shot that Tony posted on Instagram is one of you holding Morgan on your hip, her looking up at you with a giant smile on her face and your head thrown back laughing at something Morgan had said to you. It is honestly one of the sweetest pictures Peter, or the internet, has seen of you and Morgan.
@youknowwhoIam: sisters. My favorite picture of M and @Y/NStark so far. Let’s make some memories together.
@Hawkeye: This is the sweetest photo I’ve ever seen
@CaptainAmerica: M and Y/N go together like peanut butter and jelly. Or like peanut butter and that chocolate spread that Y/N showed me.
@Y/NStark: @CaptainAmerica its called Nutella and it’s delicious. Tell Dad @youknowwhoIam he needs to buy it please
@youknowwhoIam: @Y/NStark @CaptainAmerica Nutella is pure sugar and we’re not having it in the house. Final answer.
@PepperStark: @Y/NStark @CaptainAmerica @youknowwhoIam I’ll get you some :D
@youknwowhoIam: @PepperStark you’re a traitor
@Y/NStark: @PepperStark is the best parent
@youknowwhoIam: @Y/NStark you’re also a traitor. M is my favorite now.
“If Morgan’s your favorite, then I guess you won’t mind me and Peter running off to ride some rides without you.” You tease looking up from your phone to look at your dad.
“Not happening. You’re sticking with Happy and Lottie.” Your dad says looking at the girl who was incharge of making sure that your family doesn’t get overwhelmed with people trying to see Iron Man during his vacation as well as the man who will protect your family at all costs. “Morgan might be my favorite for today for not betraying me on Instagram, but I’m still keeping you safe. That will never change.”
“Figured as much.” You tease back only half heartedly knowing your dad is serious about it. He will always keep you safe if he can.
“On you guys go!” Lottie says pointing to the front of the line you’ve just reached for the Little Mermaid Ride, which Morgan is really excited about, and you are too if you’re being honest about it. Your family is using your DAS, or Disability Access Service Card, as much as possible to keep you and your insulin out of the Florida heat. If you stay in the heat for too long there’s a chance of your insulin going bad, so being able to line hop is a real time saver. Your dad did also reserve some FastPasses for some of the rides too so there are also those as well to use.
“I want to sit next to Y/N.” Your sister says, and you’re happy to oblige. As your shell twists through the track of the ride, Morgan bobs and sings along with the songs she knows from the movie and you smile at how happy she is. As you get out of your car, Morgan turns to you, grabbing your hand and says, “That was the best thing I’ve been on.”
“We’ve only been on three rides Momo. You sure you want to say that was the best?”
“It was the best so far.” You can’t help but smile at that and follow her towards the exit of the ride.
“We have some time to kill before the next DAS time, but there are some people that are really excited to meet you.” Lottie explains once your family is out of the ride. You look towards your dad, expecting him to be upset that someone wants to meet your family, but he looks calm and relaxed. Lottie takes your whole family over towards a building, and inside waiting are Cinderella, Tiana, Aurora, and Belle. Oh! These are the people that are wanting to meet you.
“They want to meet me?” Morgan asks, looking up at you with wide eyes. “Real Disney Princesses want to meet me?”
“They sure do.” You walk with Morgan over to where the princesses stand and aren’t that surprised that Morgan is a bit shy at first- after all, these are some of the Disney Princesses.
“You must be Morgan and Y/N. I’m so very excited to meet you.” Cinderella says, smiling towards your little sister.
“You know who I am?” Your sister quotes your dad’s Instagram handle as a question, looking up at the princess she loves.
“Why you are one of the prettiest princesses in the land; how could I not know?” Cinderella answers with her signature smile. Morgan lets go of your hand and runs over to hug Cinderella, who hugs her back.
“If I can’t be Mommy for Halloween, or Anna, I want to be you.” Morgan says into Cinderella’s skirts.
“You are so sweet Morgan. Would you like to meet some of my friends?” Cinderella motions towards the rest of the princesses, who you’re dying to meet, especially Belle, but you won’t move on until Morgan’s ready. But Morgan nods her head, wanting to meet more princesses. Morgan reaches for your hand and you walk over to Tiana.
“Why hello there! You look like you would love some of my delicious beignets, with some extra powdered sugga on top, wouldn’t you?” Morgan nods and runs into Tiana’s open arms for a hug.
“Did you really have to eat flies and things when you were a frog?” Morgan asks her own important question, ignoring Tiana’s question.
“You know that I got changed into a frog?” Tiana holds a hand to her chest as if this is shocking to her. “Well then I guess it comes as no surprise that I did have to eat some bugs to survive. But they’re actually quite tasty.” Morgan’s face scrunches up.
“Daddy says he’s going to feed me bugs sometimes, but I don’t believe him. I think they’d be nasty.”
“Maybe as a little girl like you they wouldn’t be yummy. But as a frog, they are delicious.” Tiana says with a smile.
“I’m not eating them.” Morgan says.
“Who’s this?” Tiana motions towards you, but before you can answer, Morgan does.
“Y/N is the bestest big sister in the whole world.”
“Wow, that is an even better title than my jambalaya has gotten.”
“Well she is the bestest.” Morgan says, almost stubbornly. You can only smile at your sister. She might have been mad at you for a bit after Christmas, but she’s the most forgiving six year old you’ve met.
“Is that her Prince Phillip?” Aurora asks, joining the conversation, pointing towards Peter. Morgan nods her head before speaking.
“But Y/N woke him up this morning instead of the other way around.” You can’t help but blush at that. She’s not technically wrong, but still it’s not exactly the thing that you wanted to share with Disney Princesses. “His name is Petey.”
“Prince Petey and Princess Y/N. Rulers of Kingdom Stark.” You tease your sister.
“I think it sounds great.” Morgan says stubbornly.
“I think Princess Morgan is right.” Aurora agrees with a smile. Morgan looks up at Aurora with a look of awe at being called a Princess. She moves over to give Aurora a hug too.
“You can come over and play anytime you want.” Morgan says sweely to both of them.
“Why thank you Princess Morgan. I would love you, but I think the animals in the forest would be very sad if I left for a long time.”
“I can’t leave the bayou. Have to make sure I keep making jambalaya for everyone as well as beignets.” Tiana says apologetically.
“Well if you get a break like Daddy does, you can come over.”
“Of course.” Tiana says, but you know she won’t be able to. Princesses have a lot to do after all.
“Want to meet my favorite Princess?” You ask your sister, trying to distract her. Morgan nods, following you to where Belle waits in her yellow ball gown.
“Belle!” Morgan calls out as she runs over. “You’re my sister’s favorite princess!”
“I am? What an honor.”
“She reads like you do.” Morgan says.
“People in my village think it’s odd that I read all the time.”
“I had a teacher get mad at me for reading all the time.” You say honestly. “But reading takes you on adventures that math and science just doesn’t do.” You shrug.
“Well I think reading is wonderful. Far off places, princes in disguise. It’s wonderful.”
“Y/N is also a writer and storyteller. She makes up the most awesome bedtime stories.”
“Does she now? Well Y/N maybe I should bring you back to the castle so the Beast can hear your stories.”
“Should I go Momo? I’ll tell the Beast bedtime stories instead.” Morgan’s face scrunches in anger while her arms cross stubbornly.
“No. You tell me bedtime stories, not the Beast.” You scoop your little sister up.
“Ok, I’ll keep telling you bedtime stories. Pinky promise.” You offer your hand to your sister who wraps her own pinky around yours.
“Let’s get a picture of Morgan, Y/N and all the princesses and then we need to head out to your next DAS time.” Lottie says from across the room.
“I want to spend more time with the princesses.” Morgan says to you.
“I think we’ll see more princesses on our trip. This is only day one, remember?” You remind her as the princesses move to surround you and Morgan.
“I know.” As Pepper holds up her phone, you and Morgan flash smiles at the camera.
“One more over here girls.” A photographer says. After the flash of the camera goes off, Morgan turns in your arms to say goodbye to the princesses.
“Bye Belle. Bye Tiana. Bye Aurora. Bye Cinderella. You all can come over to play whenever.” You can’t help but smile at how sweet your sister truly is, how trusting. You place a kiss on her cheek.
“I love you Momo. So much. Don’t ever change ok?”
“Ok?” She shrugs. “I only know how to be me.”
“And you are perfect just as is.” You say as your family leaves where they met the princesses. The next ride you have your DAS card for is the Haunted Mansion, you think, but you’re kind of in the same mood as Morgan- you could have spent all day with the princesses.
Day Two- Hollywood Studios
“Morgan refuses to get dressed today.” Pepper says walking into the kitchen. “She wants her sister and no one else apparently.” You look up, pancake halfway raised to your mouth in confusion.
“Me?”
“Apparently the shirt I picked for her upset her instead of making her laugh.” You set your fork down and walk back into the room you’re sharing with your sister to see her wearing her Frozen PJ top and a pair of green shorts.
“What’s wrong Momo?”
“I won’t wear it.” She says, crossing her arms. “It’s mean.”
“What’s mean?” You’re still not sure what’s happening. But Morgan points at the white shirt on the bed that reads ‘Will Trade Sister For FastPasses’ in black writing.
“I won’t trade you for anything. Not even fast passes.” Morgan says as her arms go back to cross.
“I know you won’t. Which is good because I won’t trade you for anything either. But I think the shirt is funny which is why Mom picked it. Do you want to wear it because it’s funny or do you want me to see if there’s a different shirt you can wear instead?”
“I won’t wear it.” Morgan shakes her head, decision made on the shirt.
“I’ll find you something else ok?” You’re pretty sure your mom bought her a shirt at the parks yesterday, so hopefully that will work. You walk into the kitchen where your mom is looking at you with a hopeful look. “She refuses to wear it. Do you have that shirt you bought at the park yesterday?”
“I can go grab it.” Peter and your dad are looking at you, hoping for an explanation.
“Mom brought a shirt for her that said she would trade me for fast passes. Morgan’s not a fan. And she wanted me to know.”
“She’s definitely your sister.” Your dad says.
“More she’s definitely your kid.” You counter.
“That’s true.” Tony says, taking a bite of his own pancakes. You go back to your room to see your mom holding out a different white shirt to your sister.
“How about this shirt?” It has a picture of Anna and Elsa, Morgan’s favorite princesses, on it and says ‘Sisters Forever’ on it.
“I like that one.” Morgan says with a smile, before switching from one Frozen shirt to another. It’s funny that it’s a Frozen shirt, since you’re wearing a light blue shirt that says ‘Elsa & Anna & Kristoff & Sven & Olaf & Samantha?’ in black ink. “We’re both wearing Frozen shirts!” Morgan says, looking at your shirt.
“Just wait until she sees tomorrow's shirts.” Your mom whispers to you.You don’t know what tomorrow’s shirts are, but you’re betting they’re something Frozen themed.
“Momo, you ready for breakfast?”
“I have to brush my teeth.”
“Better hurry or I might eat your pancakes.”
Outside the mock Chinese Theater, your mom takes a picture of you holding Morgan and you're not sure if it’s the picture or the caption that makes it blow up on social media. Morgan doesn’t get put on social media much, so it could be the picture. But it very much could be the caption too.
@pepperstark: Having a five year old means some mornings things don’t go the way you expect them too. I had picked what I thought was a funny shirt for M to wear today to the park. However, when I showed it to her, she was almost in tears and demanded that @Y/NStark come to the room immediately. What was the shirt? ‘Will Trade Sister For FastPasses’. Apparently ‘Sisters Forever’ is more M’s and Y/N’s motto. And no, having them both wear Frozen shirts was not planned after finding a shirt that M would wear. Y/N was already wearing her sister’s favorite movie shirt before we pulled a Frozen shirt for M. They may be years apart, but nothing is coming between my girls. <3
Today, you had a girl named Colette keeping people from swarming your family along with Happy, although Happy was more for security while Colette kept your family moving through the park easily, taking you through back ways at times.
After getting out of the Beauty and the Beast show, holding Morgan’s hand, you walk across the way to Toy Story Land, which Morgan is the most excited about. There’s a multitude of rides that are aimed for her age or older and so this will be a good place to pass the time until you go to some rides that she may not want to ride, like Rocking Roller Coaster or The Tower of Terror.
“Can we do Toy Story Mania?” Morgan asks you, wanting to play the games that are there.
“I think that sounds like a great idea.” Your dad says before you can. Morgan’s face has the biggest smile plastered across it as she reaches her other hand to grab your dad’s hand.
The midway rides of Toy Story Mania are accompanied by Morgan’s giggles and you’re so glad to hear your sister having so much fun while you and Peter compete to see who can get the higher score. Peter won, but you’re going to say it’s a bit unfair since he has spidey senses and all. You’re ready to move on to something that is just fun instead of fun and games. So the spinning ride filled with the alien depictions seems like the right next choice. Morgan’s voice calls out “faster! faster!” as you spin your way around the track. You honestly could have been yelling with her because the faster it went, the more fun it was.
“Can we go on Slinky Dog next?” Morgan asks your mom.
“I think Slinky Dog is a great choice.” Pepper replies before turning to ask Collette to lead the way towards the next ride.
The Tower of Terror is something you’ve been looking forward to. You may not like heights, but the idea of riding one of the most well known rides at the park isn’t something you’re passing on. Plus with your dad and Peter coming along, it’s going to be fun. Your mom is staying with Morgan and she says she deals with enough elevators that she would rather not experience one dropping. So while you all ride the ride, they are going to find a treat for Morgan, who is too short for the ride. Knowing your mom, it will probably be a shirt or a stuffed animal, so that your dad doesn’t get on all of you for how much sugar you’re intaking.
Rocking Roller Coaster is something that you and your dad have been wanting to ride, mainly for the music choices. Aerosmith is one of your favorite bands, so riding a coaster that utilizes some of your favorite songs was a no brainer. As you stand in the line, the music blasts overhead, Walk This Way before Love In An Elevator. Both are great songs if anyone is asking your opinion. But soon you see the silver of the ride and you know you’ll be coasting along soon enough.
You were right. That was the most fun. Whipping along the track to some of your favorite songs, there’s no better feeling. You don’t want this day to be over, though the sky is growing darker. You’re having too much fun with each new ride you step onto. “Which one has been your favorite?” Your dad asks as you walk back to where your mom and sister are waiting.
“Ride?” You clarify and Tony nods. “Either Rocking Roller Coaster or Tower of Terror. Easily.”
“I thought you would have hated Tower of Terror with your fear of heights.” You shake your head before answering.
“It’s too much fun to hate it.” You push your hair away from your face. “I think that’s just the mood at Disney World in general. It’s too much fun to hate anything.”
“I’d agree with that statement.” Your dad says, wrapping his arm around your shoulder. “Fireworks and then heading home sound good?” You nod, knowing that when you get home, falling asleep is going to be easy from all the activities you’ve done today that have worn you out.
Day Three- Epcot
Surprisingly, it’s not Morgan that wakes you up today, it’s your mom. “I have clothing delivery for two Stark kiddos.” You wipe a hand over your eyes as you peer at the shirts she’s holding. She’s been letting you pick most of your bottoms, shoes, and such, but your shirts she’s been keeping a surprise until the day of. She must have had fun finding them for you, so you don’t mind it. Today she holds a black tank top and a smaller light blue one in her hands. She tosses the black one to you before making her way over to where Morgan lays still sleeping. “Sweetheart, it’s time to get up.” She pushes Morgan’s hair away from her face and places a kiss on Morgan’s forehead.
“Sleepy,” Morgan mumbles.
“But today is going to be really fun. We’re going to where Anna and Elsa’s ride is.”
“Really?” Morgan opens her eyes to look up at your mom, but makes no move to get out of bed.
“Mmhmm, but you have to get up and get dressed for us to go. Also I have a surprise for you but you can’t have it until after breakfast.” Pepper says with a smile. “So get dressed and I’ll meet you in the kitchen.” You look at the shirt she had thrown you and smile. You have a guess at what your sister’s says based on what your’s says. Pepper leans over to place a kiss in your hair. “Morning honey.”
“Morning Mom.”
“You like it?” She motions to the shirt.
“It’s great.” Your black shirt says ‘I’m Her Elsa’ surrounded in snowflakes in a blue font with an arrow pointing to the right. Walking over to your suitcase you pull out a pair of blue converse as well as a pair of blue jean shorts. It’s going to be hot today, so the tank is a god send if you’re being honest. You change and then go digging in your suitcase for a scrunchy so you can braid your hair, more because you have a feeling that it will make Morgan happy. Tying your braid with the blue scrunchy, you throw it over your shoulder. Morgan has finished getting dressed as you turn around.
“You’re the Elsa to my Anna?” Morgan asks, reading your shirt.
“I am, aren't I? Anna is Elsa’s little sister and you’re my little sister.”
“Does that mean that you get super powers?” You almost laugh but then you think of a better answer.
“Ask Dad that.”
“Ok.” You run a brush through Morgan’s hair, pulling it into a ponytail so she doesn’t have to deal with the heat today.
Breakfast is easy and there’s no breakdowns today. Morgan spends most of it trying to figure out the surprise that your mom is holding until after breakfast. Right before you all walk out the door, she pulls out a couple pairs of ears. They must not have been from the parks, because you haven’t seen them at the parks. “Ordered them off Etsy.” She explains at your glance at the ears. “I have some Anna themed ones for our Anna. And of course, some Olaf ones for our Olaf stan.” She says as she passes them to you and Morgan.
“These are awesome.” You look at the white sparkly ears with the orange bow. They’re decorated with black fabric stones and brown fabric branches. You slide them into place on your head.
“They definitely suit you babe.” Peter says as his arm slides around your waist.
“I love these!” Your sister says as she slides her own onto her head as well. “Now we look like Anna and Olaf!” She says to you! “Maybe we’ll see Anna and Elsa at the park!”
“Maybe we will!” He smirks knowing that she’ll be seeing her favorites today.
“Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!” Morgan repeats your dad’s name as she points a hand towards where Anna and Elsa are waiting.
“Yes Morguna?” He teases, knowing what she’s excited about.
“It’s Anna and Elsa!” She moves her hand up and down, pointing at the princess and the queen. Anna waves at Morgan, and you’re surprised that Morgan doesn’t faint from her favorite princess waving at her.
“Are you Morgan?” Anna asks and Morgan can only nod her head. “I’m Anna and this is my sister Elsa. We’re very excited to meet you.” She crouches down to be closer to Morgan’s height and Morgan throws her arms around Anna without hesitation.
“You’re my favorite.” Morgan says loudly. “But Y/N’s favorite is Olaf.”
“Olaf is pretty amazing.” Elsa says, hearing Olaf’s name. “I take it you’re Y/N?” She asks you. You nod your head as Morgan calls out.
“Y/N is my Elsa.” She points at your shirt.
“Y/N is your big sister? That’s pretty wonderful. Sisters are the best of friends.” Elsa says, smiling at Morgan before looking towards her own sister.
“Y/N is my best friend!” Morgan says and it’s the first time she’s said it to you. You can’t help but smile at your little sister. “She has a Kristoff.” Morgan adds before pointing at Peter. “His name is Petey.” Peter’s face goes pink as he hears his nickname being said to two, you’ll admit, beautiful princesses.
“He also goes by Peter.” You tack on.
“Prince Peter, the love of Princess Y/N’s life.” Anna says, holding her hands up together as she looks off dreamily.
“How about we get some pictures of all the princesses?” The cast member standing near you says and your mom holds up her phone to snap a photo of you, Morgan, Anna, and Elsa all together.
@Y/NStark: Anna and Elsa, M and Y/N. #SistersForever
@bettybrand2002: m makes me wish i had a little sister
@jedimasterned: you got to meet Anna and Elsa?! Jealous.
@peter_p: pretty sure m was more excited that you were there than meeting anna and elsa.
@Y/NStark: @peter_p don’t lie to the people. She was more excited that Petey came to meet the princesses.
@mysteriousjones: please tell me you got a picture of parker with the princesses.
@Y/NStark: @mysteriousjones sending it in the group chat now :D
If only your day could have stayed totally happy and carefree like it is for Morgan. But one of the biggest problems you’re having today is keeping your blood sugar above eighty. Walking around the park as well as all the excitement means it’s hard to stay level.
“How you feeling kiddo?” Your dad asks, one hand pulling lightly on your braid.
“Like shit.” You say honestly, forgetting about Morgan being so close for a moment.
“Shit!” Morgan repeats.
“You can’t use Mommy’s word, remember Morgan?”
“Why can Y/N use it then?” Morgan asks, crossing her arms.
“Because Y/N forgot that it’s Mommy’s word.” Your dad explains, hoping to cover the fact that you just forgot your five year old sister was standing near.
“Yeah Momo, I forgot it’s Mom’s word.” You blink harshly a few times, trying to get the spots out of your eyes. “I’m low.” You say, trying to look up at your dad from where you’re sitting, but the sun hurts your eyes.
“What’s your number?” Your mom asks, hearing the magic word. You unclip your pump from your sports bra and hit the button to turn the screen on. The graph is covered in red lines from where you dropped and your pump had to stop giving you insulin.
“Seventy two.” Not as low as you were earlier, but low enough that it’s affecting you.
Your dad’s hand shifts to ruffle Morgan’s hair. “Morguna, do you want to come with me to get a snack for your sister?”
“Can I get a snack?” She asks. Earlier when you had been low, you got applesauce and she didn’t. She’s still trying to figure out when she gets to eat with you and when she doesn’t.
“I think Mickey Ice Creams for everyone sounds like a plan, don’t you?” Morgan’s lips purse as she thinks it over, before she nods. Your dad, Morgan, and Thomas, your Disney employee that’s keeping your family from being overwhelmed with people, all head to get ice cream while Pepper, Peter, and Happy stay with you. Peter sits down next to you.
“You ok babe?” You lean your head onto Peter’s shoulder as you shrug your shoulders. “Can I help?”
“You help by being you. Dad’s getting ice cream, there’s not much I can do until he gets back with it.” Peter’s hand wraps around yours. Pepper sits down on the other side of you.
“I have snacks in the backpack if you’d rather not wait to treat,” she offers.
“I’ll be ok to wait for ice cream. Plus Morgan will be confused on why I’m eating something else before ice cream.”
“We can explain to her why you get it. She’ll understand if you’re doing it to help yourself instead of just having treats.”
“I’m not trending down so I should be ok for a few more minutes. Knowing Dad, he’ll rush through the line and be back before I could even eat something else.”
“You’re not wrong about that. But it’s more that medical emergencies make it easier.” Your dad says as he holds the ice cream towards you.
“Told you.” You tease your mom.
Morgan holds her ice cream towards you. “Look, it's Mickey!”
“That’s so cool Momo.” You open the wrapper on yours and pull it out.
“Can we stay at Disney forever? I want Mickey ice creams always.” Morgan says before taking a huge bite of hers.
“But don’t you want to go home to Finn at some point?” Your mom asks, not denying the request but also not agreeing to it.
“We can just bring Finn here.” Morgan explains her logic. “He would love all the people here.”
“But Finn can’t go on the rides. He would just be sitting around while you do things. He would be sad.” You say trying to help.
“Oh.” Morgan’s eyebrows pull down as she thinks this over. “I guess Finn wouldn’t like Disney as much as us.”
“How about we go back to Finn and we can plan another trip one day?” Your dad offers. Morgan thinks it over for a few moments before answering.
“Ok, but only if you promise we’ll come back.” She stares up at your dad with the biggest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen.
“Promise.” Your dad offers his pinky towards her to make a pinky promise, which is Morgan’s favorite way to seal a promise.
“I’m going to get Mickey ice cream every time we come.” Morgan says as she wraps her pinky around your dad’s.
“That we will see about. I make no promises of tons of sugar.”
Day Four- Animal Kingdom
Last night had been rough. Your blood sugar wouldn’t stay up, because diabetes doesn’t take a vacation. So by about six, you gave up on sleeping and just decided, it was breakfast time. Or more importantly, it is coffee time. So while everyone else is still sleeping, you’re sitting in the kitchen with two slices of peanut butter and jelly toast and a cup of coffee in front of you.
“Did you manage to get any sleep kiddo?” It shouldn’t surprise you that your dad is the first one up. He never really sleeps either.
“A couple hours maybe. Kept tanking.”
“Yeah, FRIDAY told me.” You weren’t even surprised that your dad installed FRIDAY into this house too. “How long have you been up?” He places a kiss in your hair after asking.
You glance at your phone, seeing that it’s just now hit seven. “An hour. I gave up on sleep since diabetes wasn’t letting me have it and I was sick of juice boxes.” Your dad slips over to the coffee machine and makes his own cup. You try to think of a time that you’ve ever seen your dad making his own cup. “I thought you hate caffeine.”
“Quite the opposite. I love caffeine. I don’t love you drinking it. But ask your mom how many times she had to pull me out of the lab after too many nights of not sleeping and thriving on only coffee.” Your mouth drops open. “Why do you think I had a coffee machine in the house?”
“You don’t have one at home.”
“I do in the lab.” He smirks.
“Dad, that’s unfair.”
“Coffee stunts your growth and ruins your sleep cycles. I’m just trying to give you your best chances. I only want the best for you.” He sits down next to you with his own cup. “But I think today you deserve it.
“Good, ‘cause I wasn’t going to let you have it.” You take a sip of the caramel colored liquid. “Which park is today?”
“Animal Kingdom I think. Has all the Avatar stuff.”
“Cool.”
“Y/N?” Morgan’s voice calls sleepily from the door to your room.
“I see who she really wants.” You dad says into the lip of his coffee cup.
“Out here Momo.”
“You weren’t there when I woke up.”
“That’s ‘cause my blood sugar was not happy. I had to come get breakfast.” You and your parents have vaguely explained your blood sugar to your sister, and she seems like she understands most of the time, until you get treats and she doesn’t. Morgan climbs up on the bar stool on your other side.
“Can I have breakfast too Daddy?”
“Sure you can Morguna. What do you want?”
She glances at your plate and sees the toast you’re eating. “I want peanut butter toast too.”
“Peanut butter and jelly toast coming right up.”
“Are we doing breakfast first today?” Your mom’s voice comes from behind you.
“My blood sugar was tanking all night.”
“Yeah we heard. FRIDAY told us.”
“Well I came to get food and then everyone joined me.”
“I think breakfast in our PJs is ok. I put clothes on your bed already.” She looks at your dad making toast. “Should I go wake up Peter?”
“I can go get him.” You offer, already halfway through your breakfast, and wanting to see your boyfriend.
“Wanting something other than breakfast?” Your dad asks, the innuendo going over Morgan’s head.
“Wanting to see my boyfriend. Is that an issue?” You ask as you hop off your bar stool.
“Just go wake him up before I change my mind.” Tony says, pulling the peanut butter out of the cabinet. You walk down the hallway to Peter’s room.
Opening the doorway, you see your boyfriend fast asleep, his mouth opened slightly in sleep. He looks so peaceful. Like the other morning when you came into his room, you pull the covers up slightly and climb into bed with him. However this morning, you place light kisses on his cheek and lips. “Morning time babe.” You whisper softly.
“Mmm.” His lips move towards yours, wanting more. “‘Morning.” Brown eyes find yours. “Your dad is going to come yell at us.”
“No he isn’t. He knew I was coming to wake you up.” Peter’s arms wrap around your waist and pull you closer.
“Five more minutes.” His eyes close as he holds you closer.
“No can do. You’re the last one sleeping.”
“So how will they know if I sleep for five minutes holding my baby?”
“Because my dad will definitely come looking.” You smirk before placing a few more kisses along his jaw and lips.
“Did you already have coffee?” Peter asks, tasting it on your lips.
“I’ve been up since six.” This causes Peter’s eyes to open back up.
“Did Morgan not let you sleep?” You shake your head.
“My blood sugar didn’t let me sleep. By six I gave up on sleeping and decided coffee was the better option.” Peter’s lips found the side of your neck instead.
“I’m sorry baby.”
“It is what it is. Diabetes never sleeps. But I am going to want to go back to my coffee before my dad exchanges it for a green juice. So you going to get up and join me or am I leaving you for my number one love?”
“Coffee is number one?”
“Oh 100 percent.” Peter’s face falls. “Ok, ok. You might be number one and it’s number two. Only because I don’t like seeing your face like that.” You pull his lips back to yours. “Plus coffee doesn’t kiss like you.” You mumble into his lips.
“I’ll take it.” He says triumphantly. “So get dressed and then breakfast?”
You shake your head. “The Starks decided it's breakfast in our PJs today. Come on.” You offer your hand to him, pulling him towards the edge of his bed. Right before the door to leave his room you pull the two of you to a stop.
“What?”
“Just this.” You kiss him one more time. “I love you.”
He smiles before saying, “I love you too.” He follows you out of his room towards where your family is waiting.
“Look who decided to finally join us.” Your dad teases.
“Warm bed vs getting out of bed- personally I think staying in bed is the better option.” You tease your dad back.
“Says the girl who was the first up this morning.”
“That was different.”
“Just ignore him.” Pepper says to Peter as she helps your dad make breakfast. “Did you sleep well?”
“Yeah, that bed is one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in.” Peter says, running a hand through his curls that clearly look slept on.
“Good.”
“We’re having peanut butter toast this morning.” Morgan says to Peter with a smile.
“I love peanut butter toast. How’d you know that Morg?”
“Y/N knew it! She picked breakfast!” You smirk at him as you eat the bite you had just taken of your breakfast.
“Well clearly Y/N has the best taste doesn’t she Morgs?” Your sister nods as glasses of green juice are placed in front of all of you by Pepper and toast is placed in front of Peter.
“I’m good. No thanks.” You tease Pepper, knowing that this isn’t optional.
“Don’t make me take that coffee away young lady.” Your dad teases and your mouth drops. “Drink your green juice.” You let out a huff, but drink your green juice without argument.
“It’s not that bad.” Peter says on only his third day of drinking green juice.
“Yeah.” Morgan agrees.
“Morgan’s been drinking this since birth. You’ve only been drinking it for three days. Therefore neither opinion is valid.” Morgan raises an eyebrow showing she doesn’t agree and Peter follows suit a few moments later.
“Stark ladies, finish up, you need to get dressed still.” Morgan finishes her green juice in a few sips, her toast already gone.
“All done Daddy!”
“Beautifully done Madame Secretary. Go get dressed and brush your teeth. Your sister will be in a moment.” You finish your toast and your green juice, opting to take your coffee in with you.
“See you babe.” You know your mom will keep your dad from messing with Peter too much while he eats.
“What, no see you Mom and Dad?” Your dad teases.
“See you Mom and Dad.” You tease back before getting up, coffee cup in hand. You let out a soft laugh as you make your way back into the room you’re sharing with Morgan. Morgan is getting into a gray t-shirt that says ‘Today Is A Core Memory Day’ in white writing with the characters from Inside Out surrounding it as well as a pair of denim shorts. On your bed there is a burgundy colored shirt with white writing that says ‘I’m Done Adulting, I’m Going To Disney’ on it with a Mickey Hat on top. You decide to pair it with a pair of black athletic shorts, clipping Kyle to the waist band. And maybe your white hightops will work the best with this outfit? You’re honestly surprised that your mom didn’t surprise Morgan with matching ears, but maybe you can get some at Animal Kingdom.
Apparently you spoke too soon, because your mom comes into the room, carrying a couple sets of ears. She hands a pair of yellow ears that say Inside Out on the left ear, a blue bow in the center, and covered in felt candies on the right ear to Morgan. And then she hands you a pair of Beauty and the Beast inspired ears to you. Yellow lace covered left ear, blue suit ear on the right and a red sparkly bow as well as a fake rose in the center. “I figured yours didn’t have to match your outfit entirely.” Your mom says as you stand in silence at her getting your favorite Disney movie ears.
“They're perfect.” You finally say.
A few hours later, you’re scrolling Instagram while waiting to board the next ride. You’re surprised to see Morgan, Peter, and you splashed across your feed, but not from your parents. It was Peter who posted it. All your friends beat you to the punch of commenting on it, but as some say, better late than pregnant.
@peter_p: Hakuna Matata and all that jazz.
@bettybrant2002: Honestly I should date @Y/NStark so I get extra M time
@jedimasterned: tbh M is the most important one of this picture. Sorry @Y/NStark
@mysteriousjones: M could murder someone and we’d all be here to hide the body.
@Y/NStark: Good to know all my friends like my sister better.
@youknowwhoiam: M has the cuteness factor though?
@Y/NStark: @youknowwhoiam are you saying I’m not cute?
@youknowwhoiam: you know this might be a good time to leave instagram for a bit. Don’t want to get in trouble.
@PepperStark: too late @youknowwhoiam
