Summary
Steve doesn’t get shipped off to war but Bucky does. They spend their last day together after Bucky finds Steve getting beaten up by someone from the theater. Bucky tries to find Steve a girl before he leaves because he knows Steve isn’t going to take care of himself. After Bucky leaves in the morning Steve finds a job collecting scrap metal in a red wagon and can’t help but laugh every time he picks it up. It made him think of Bucky.
