The Wedding
“Quackity? Tubbo told me you wanted me here?” Fundy asked. “He’s here so much, you might as well call him a member of Las Nevadas.”
“That’s the plan,” Quackity spoke under his breath.
“What?”
“Oh— nothing. I… actually have something I need to tell you.”
“Really? What is it?”
The president took a deep breath and spoke slowly. “I’m… engaged… to your… dad.”
The fox was both confused and in shock. “…you mean Wilbur?”
“Yeah. Please don’t kill us. I understand if you’re mad, just don’t kill us or team against us. You know what I mean.”
“I’m definitely confused. And a little angry. But I wouldn’t kill you two. Even if I’m mad at Wilbur, I’m not crazy.”
“So you won’t kill us?”
“No.”
“Thanks, Fundy.”
Just as Fundy was about to open the door, he paused. “I saw Tommy earlier. He said something about the interview. What do you want me to tell him?”
“Tell him I’m not wasting my breath over talking about two more assholes who were part of my life. He can skip to… that last person I mentioned.”
“You’ll tell him about you and Wilbur? Are you sure you want to do it in an interview?”
“Yeah. Might keep those Kinoko Kingdom boys away for once.”
Fundy nodded leaving. As he walked he accidentally bumped into someone.
“Oh, sorry—“
Fundy recognized the accent of the voice immediately. How could he not? It was no other than his—
“Dad?”
“Fundy?” Wilbur looked a little past where Fundy was standing and saw Quackity, suddenly connecting the dots. “You know about Quackity and I’s relationship. Did he tell you?”
“Yes. It’s weird, knowing that my boss is going to be my dad soon.”
“Weird? Yes. But it’s happened before. Just differently. Happened with Tubbo.”
“So those rumors were true?”
“Forget I said that; I shouldn’t have said that.”
“I’m mad at you.” Fundy punched Wilbur’s arm, not putting in any actual effort.
“I know.” Wilbur let out a dry laugh.
“You weren’t there for me in L’manburg. During Pogtopia.”
“I was so pissed off and focused on getting back L’manburg that I forgot why I made that country. Tommy. Tubbo. You. I’m sorry, my little champion. Hope you forgive me for that.”
“You… haven’t called me that since…”
Fundy trailed off, surprising Wilbur a little when the fox hugged him. “I— I’ll go now. Um… see you around, I guess.”
The fox immediately started going down the stairs. Wilbur sighed, walking towards the end of the hall. He went in and closed the door behind him.
“I saw you with Fundy.”
“Yeah, you did. You planned it out, didn’t you, Q?”
“Yes. Wanted you both to at least be neutral with each other, if not, on good terms.”
“Thank you.” Wilbur hugged him.
“You’re welcome.”
“Oh! I got Niki to go! And my mom too! But… Phil’s coming too. He’s such a simp for Kristin, I swear—”
“No fighting him there. Got it?”
“Yes, duckling~”
“Simp.”
“Hey—!”
“You know it’s true. I could ask you to kill my exes right now and you’d do it.”
Wilbur went silent, not saying a thing in response.
“Silence means yes! You’d do anything for me.”
“You have a problem with it?”
“No. It’s cute, honestly.”
“Wow. The president of Las Nevadas, calling his own rival ‘cute’?”
“It’s true.”
“I’m a fucking zombie.”
“And you’re also my fiancé.”
Quackity blushed. Wilbur’s face was close to his. Wilbur was about to kiss him when someone interrupted the two. It was Sam. Wilbur muttered a curse under his breath and Quackity looked away from him.
“H-hey, Sam…! What are you… doing here…?”
“Tommy is downstairs. He mentioned the interview…?”
Sam saw Wilbur and had a slight mischievous look on his face.
“I’ll take your fiancé with me, patito. I’ll… talk to him with Foolish and Ponk.”
Wilbur groaned. “I’m going to regret this, right?”
Quackity giggled. “You’ll live. It’s only my dad and his two boyfriends. Now go. Tommy can’t see you here… not yet, at least.”
He tried to hold back a laugh as Wilbur was practically being dragged away by Sam. He sighed. Not too long after, Tommy stepped into the room.
“Hey, Big Q! So, no interviewing you about Karl and Sapnap?”
“Yeah, not them. Fundy told you, right?”
“Yes; I was just checking. So… what now?”
“Who. Remember when I told you… in the beginning?”
“Yeah?”
“I won’t say his name until the end, but… our relationship is very complex. We were together while Schlatt was president of L’manburg. Then Schlatt died. Not too long after, though… he died too. I was heartbroken. But, he came back. I was with Karl and Sapnap at the time. We both had a feeling our relationship was more than just rivals. He’s… my fiancé now.”
“Whoa! So, who is it?”
“Wilbur.”
“… I fucking knew it.”
“Was it the flirting?”
“Yeah. And the fact he almost called you hot once—”
“Oh my god, he did not—”
“Yep!”
Quackity got up. He walked up to Sam’s room and knocked. “Where’s Wilbur?”
“Why is Tommy behind you?”
“He knows, don’t worry. Where is he?”
Wilbur walked to the door and stood behind Sam. “Hey, duckli— whoa, whoa, why are you so angry?”
Tommy said, “I told him that you almost called him hot in front of me. Congrats, by the way.”
“Thank you, Tommy,” Wilbur said. Then he turned to Quackity. “So, you’re just flustered?”
Quackity gave a slight nod, to which Wilbur responded with a smile.
Tommy waved goodbye, raising his hands as a sign of defeat. “No. I’m not doing this. Ew. My brother’s flirting. Goodbye.”
He walked away from the others.
“Well, we’re meeting Niki and Kristin. Sam, Foolish, and Ponk said they’re going. C’mon, Q, we have a wedding to prepare for.”
“Mum! Hey, Niki!” Wilbur was smiling. He hadn’t seen Kristin in ages. He missed his mother.
Behind him were Quackity, Sam, Foolish, and Ponk. When Foolish saw Kristin, he immediately bowed down to her.
Sam saw this and got confused. “What are you—”
“That’s Lady Kristin, the goddess of death. Why would I not bow?”
Kristin smiled. “It seems as though XD’s taught you well. You’re his worshipper, right?”
Foolish nodded. “Yes. Um, why are you in a mortal form?”
“XD hasn’t noticed my absence yet because he’s too busy with his little mortal. Funny how he got mad at me for being with Phil when he’s with, what’s his name? Oh, George! Yeah, that’s his name. Anyway, Niki and I will take Wilbur with us.”
Quackity was brought to a different place by Charlie. He gasped when he saw a white suit in the middle of the room.
“… I’m going to wear that…?” he asked, eyes lit up.
“Yup!”
“It’s amazing!”
“I need to see if it fits you, though. That way Miss Kristin can alter it. You’ll have to take your shirt off so I can take the measurements correctly.”
“Do I have to?” His voice went quiet.
“Yes.”
“Oh.”
Quackity reluctantly pulled his shirt off, revealing a white binder underneath. Hurriedly, he wore the other shirt.
“You’re trans?”
“….yeah.”
“You are accepted by me, then.” Charlie smiled.
“Really…?”
“Yeah—”
Charlie was cut off by Quackity hugging him tightly. Quackity looked at him, smiling.
“Are— Are those tears in your eyes?”
“Wh-What? No, I’m just really happy.”
“You’re happy crying.”
“You said you accepted me for being trans!”
“You’re also my adoptive father. If you accepted me for being made out of literal slime, then obviously I’d accept you for who you are!”
“Thank you…”
Wilbur was excited and nervous. He also wanted to punch Phil the moment he saw his father. But… he looked to his side and saw his mother and Tommy. He could worry about his anger towards Phil later.
Quackity was happy. He took a deep breath as Sam took his arm.
“You got this,” Sam whispered when they were close to Wilbur and Kristin.
“Thanks.”
Then, Sam let go of Quackity and whispered something to Wilbur. Based off of his reaction, the words were probably a threat.
“Hey.”
“Hi.”
Quackity and Wilbur smiled at each other. Quackity tuned out Kristin’s words for a while until she got to exchanging vows.
“Wilbur, I promise to cherish you always, to honor and sustain you, in sickness and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death alone shall part us once more.”
“Quackity, I promise to cherish you always, to honor and sustain you, in sickness and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death alone shall part us once more.”
The two put the rings on each other’s fingers, smiling.
Kristin raised an eyebrow when she heard the words, but continued. “Well then, I declare you husbands!”
Quackity pulled Wilbur to his height and kissed his now-husband. Cheers could be heard and giggles from Selene and Michael, who were covering their eyes. Tubbo had a huge grin on his face. He turned to Tommy.
“Tommy…”
“What?”
“I can call you ‘Uncle Tommy’ now.”
“EW! NO!”
Tubbo ran away, laughing while Tommy took out a diamond sword and chased him.
Ranboo sighed and ran after the two. “YOU’RE NOT MURDERING EACH OTHER, GET BACK HERE!”
Phil went to Kristin and hugged her. Techno followed, joining the hug. When Ranboo successfully broke up Tommy and Tubbo’s fight, Tommy ran towards the rest of his family. He tackled them into a hug, making them all fall backwards.
Puffy saw Foolish and was surprised. “Foolish? What are you doing here?”
“What are you doing here?”
“Niki brought me!”
“Oh! Well, Sam and Ponk are my boyfriends, and Sam is Quackity’s dad, so…”
“You’re dating Ponk and Sam?”
“Yeah…”
“Aww! That’s cute!”
Foolish smiled and hugged Puffy. The other guests were talking with each other until they all had to leave.
“Will you be back?” Tommy looked up at his mother.
“No, I don’t think I’ll be able to. Sorry.” She hugged her family tightly before waving goodbye and turning into a crow. She flew away and everyone returned to their homes.
Wilbur and Quackity were smiling when they reached Quackity’s room. The two went in bed and were cuddling.
“I love you, duckling.”
“I love you too, Wil.”
And just like that, the two were asleep.
