An Uninvited Guest
Quackity's eyes widened as Tubbo spoke. Only one person scared Tubbo like that. He started pacing back and forth in the office. "H-how? He's supposed to be dead!"
"Wh-what if Dream revived him? Quackity, I'm scared!"
"Trust me, Tubbo. I'll make sure he doesn't hurt you. Never again. Did he see you?"
"I don't think so. Fundy and Slime saw him in the casino and they told me."
"Fuck. Fuck, that's not good at all. Oh, shit. What are we gonna do?"
Wilbur saw this as a moment to step into the conversation. "Quackity, Tubbo, calm. Who did they see?"
"My ex," Quackity answered.
"Obviously it’s a ex. Which one?"
"Schlatt."
"Oh shit. You two are staying here. I'm going to teach that horned bitch a lesson."
Quackity put a hand on Wilbur's shoulder. "He's going to look for us. He won't stop until he does."
"Which is why you're staying here."
"You don't know him! I do! Tubbo and I do!"
"Well, it won't really help if you two leave. What if he finds you?"
"We can't hide either, can we?"
Tubbo sighed, clearing his throat to remind Quackity and Wilbur that he was still there. "Can you two stop bickering like little kids for a moment? Anyway, I think I know where we can go."
"Where?" Quackity asked, finally taking his pacing to a stop.
"Ranboo and I's house. He should be here soon. I messaged him while you two were arguing."
As soon as Tubbo finished talking, the half-enderman appeared in a shower of purple particles.
"Do we go now?" Ranboo asked.
"Yes, Ranboo!" Tubbo exclaimed with the urge to leave as quickly as possible. "Hurry!"
Ranboo nodded, teleporting the four of them out of Las Nevadas.
"So... you live here?"
"Yes."
"It's amazing!"
"Thanks. Big Q! Now, be quiet. I don't want to wake up Michael."
"Who's that?"
"You'll see."
They walked into Tubbo and Ranboo's house. Ranboo knocked on a door.
"Michael?" he called.
No reply.
Ranboo shook the doorknob. "Tubbo, do you have a key? The door's locked," the part-enderman asked.
"Yeah. Move, I'll unlock it," Tubbo took out a key from his pocket. Ranboo stepped behind him as he watched his husband unlock the door. Tubbo's once relieved face turned back to fear in a snap.
"What are you doing here...?" The door opened, and Schlatt was holding a sleeping zombie piglin. Ranboo was behind Tubbo, his green and red eyes glowing with rage.
"Why? I can't visit my own grandson?" the revived ram hybrid smirked.
"PUT MY SON DOWN!" Ranboo yelled, his eyes glowing a faint purple.
"Shh... Don't want to wake the kid, now do we?"
Quackity stepped into the room, with Wilbur by his side.
"Schlatt, put Michael down."
"Hello, sugar pumpkin."
The duck hybrid glared at Schlatt. The ram glared back. His dark blood red eyes moved from Quackity's eyes to his hand. Recognizing the hand Quackity was holding onto, he greeted, "Wilbur! Haven't seen you since limbo. Y'know, your ghost is really annoying."
"I know that, Schlatt. Now put the kid down, will you?" Wilbur asked.
"Fine. I will. But I'll be back..."
He put Michael down and Ranboo and Tubbo rushed over to their child. He walked up to Quackity and pointed at him.
"We're not done here. You still didn't keep your end of the bet." He pushed the duck hybrid to the side as he left.
"Quackity, I thought we said no more secrets? What did Schlatt mean by 'you didn't keep your end of the bet'? What was he talking about?" Wilbur asked, facing his lover.
"It was a long time ago. Besides, I was forced into it and he's already revived; I don't know what he'd want from me now," Quackity answered.
Before Wilbur could say another word, Ranboo, who was holding Michael, asked, “What are you doing here with Quackity, Wilbur? I thought you two were rivals.”
“About that…”
Wilbur made eye contact with Quackity. “I think we should tell him. I mean, you already told Tubbo, and you’re going to tell Tommy, aren’t you?”
Quackity sighed. “Fair enough.”
Wilbur turned to face Ranboo. “We’re engaged.”
Ranboo’s eyes widened. “Since when?”
Tubbo looked up in order to see Quackity. “Mama, you’re engaged to him? I mean, I knew you two were dating, but engaged?”
The half-enderman was now even more confused. “What? Tubbo, please explain this to me. I have no idea what’s happening now.”
“Schlatt is my dad and Quackity is my mom. A few years ago, when Quackity met Slime, he adopted him and now I also have a brother. That’s all I know,” Tubbo explained.
Quackity continued to explain things. “After divorcing and killing Schlatt, I met Wilbur in the tunnels. We would see each other in secret. I was one of the only people who really cared about him. Not even his own family did. When he got revived, we argued a little. I still loved him, and I guess the same went for Wilbur because we started dating. Again.”
“Then, after 2 or 3 years of dating, I proposed to him. It was the only way I could get him to take a break for once,” Wilbur added.
Tubbo turned to Michael. “Can you get your sister to come here?”
“Okay, Bee!” Michael answered.
Quackity raised an eyebrow, which Tubbo ignored. After a few minutes, Michael went back downstairs with a tall young girl behind him. She had black shoulder-length hair and was wearing a green sweater with faded black jeans.
“Michael!” she groaned. “Stop dragging me downstairs like that!”
“But Bee and Boo have guests! And Bee said to get you,” he answered, smiling.
“Fine.”
The young girl looked up and saw the four adults at the table. “Hello,” she greeted shyly. “I’m Selene.”
“Hello, I’m Quackity. Your name suits you.”
“Oh… thank you. Bee’s told us about you.”
“Really?” He glanced at Tubbo for a moment before turning his eyesight back to Selene.
“Yeah. So, I guess that means you’re our grandma?”
“I guess.”
“That’s cool. Who are you?” she asked Wilbur.
“I’m Wilbur. Quackity’s… fiancé.”
“Doesn’t that mean you’ll get married to him?”
“It does mean that.”
“Selene, come on! I wanna go say hi to Shroud!” Michael tugged on the corner of his older sister’s shirt.
“Okay, okay! Wait though. I need to ask,” she laughed. “Bee, Boo, can we go visit Uncle Tommy?”
“Sure. Just don’t tell him that Wilbur and Quackity are here,” Tubbo said.
“Okay…?” she nodded to the strange request of her father. “Thanks!”
"Woo! We get to go to Shroud's place!" Michael cheered.
As the two children left the home, Wilbur asked, "So. Do you two want to go to our wedding?"
"Yeah, it's my mom you're going to marry! Plus, you seem to have made him happier compared to the others," Tubbo answered.
"If Tubbo says yes, I'll go too," Ranboo said, smiling a little. "You two can stay here. For the night, at least. You helped us."
"It's okay, you don't have to-" Wilbur started.
"I insist. Please stay here. It's almost dark out, and Las Nevadas is really far from here," Ranboo interrupted.
"Okay, okay, we'll stay," Wilbur chuckled. "Uh, where are we, exactly?"
"Snowchester."
As soon as Ranboo said that, Wilbur’s eyes widened.
“Oh shit.”
“Why? What’s wrong?” Quackity asked.
“Phil and Techno live nearby! Oh fuck…”
“Did- did you just say Techno? As in the one who gave me my scar on my face?”
“Do you think I stuttered? Yes, I meant him! Why do my dad and twin have to be so damn close to here?”
Selene’s head popped into view as she stood in the doorway. “Bee! Boo! We’re back! Um, Uncle Techno and some European avian guy wanted to come in and say hi.”
Michael, who was on Selene’s shoulders, exclaimed, “His black wings are really cool!”
The said European avian guy and a piglin-looking man with long pink hair stepped into the room. Wilbur muttered a curse under his breath when he saw them, earning himself a glare from Quackity. The revived man cleared his throat. “Hello, Phil. Techno.”
“What are you two doing here?” Philza asked, getting straight to the point.
“Tubbo’s one of my kids?” Quackity answered.
Seeing Phil and Techno’s confused faces, he added, “Schlatt’s his dad.”
The European avian looked at his brown-haired son. “That doesn’t explain why you’re here.”
"Selene, Michael, go upstairs please," Tubbo requested, not wanting them to hear what could happen in that very room. The two kids did as he asked and went to Selene's room on the floor above.
Phil's eyes drifted towards Wilbur's hand. Holding onto it was Quackity's pale hand. A black engagement ring in the shape of a rose with a red ruby in the middle and emeralds acting as the "leaves" of the rose. Suddenly, all the dots connected.
"You're engaged to Quackity?"
"Yeah, why?" Wilbur answered, getting up from his seat. Quackity's hand was still holding onto the arsonist.
"Why him?"
"We've been dating for 2 years now, 5 if you count when Pogotpia was still a country. Why wouldn't I? Besides, how else was I supposed to get him from overworking again? Come on, Phil! If I remember correctly, when Mum would see you whilst XD was distracted, you acted the same way as I am."
"Wilbur..." Phil warned.
"Wilbur, that's enough," Quackity pleaded, trying to get his fiancé to sit back down and stop arguing.
"I apologize, darling," Wilbur whispered, his words sincere. "You might want to cover your ears for this."
His voice grew louder, almost into a yell as he continued to argue with Phil. “What? It's true! Come on, Philza! Tell me I'm lying! Tell me that you weren't as head over heels in love with her! Because that's how I feel with Quackity. That's what I've felt being around him for so long."
"Wilbur, come on! Let's just go back to Las Nevadas!" Quackity begged, anxious. "Please!"
Finally seeing the distress on the duck hybrid's face, he calmed down. "Okay, we can go. Sorry, Tubbo. Sorry, Ranboo. Maybe next time?"
"That seems okay," Ranboo said.
An angry but calmed Wilbur and a scared Quackity soon left the cold of Snowchester and headed for the hot, desert land of Las Nevadas. In the opposite direction, Phil and a very, very confused Techno left to their cabins north of the country.
