Chapter 3
Steve sets down Kennedy with a groan. His boy was already a toddler and Steve wanted his son to be outdoors as much as possible so he brought him to Central Park.
“Do you think Kennedy needs a sibling?” Steve asks Thor after watching Kennedy awkwardly run away from the other kids.
“Possibly,” Thor responds. “Are we ready to care for another giant baby?” Steve thinks about it as the two continue to watch their son play by himself.
Steve snorts as Kennedy begins to trot, the child doesn’t run, the child trots. “Not the trot,” Thor smiles. “Kennedy come here,” Kennedy listens to his daddy and trots over.
Thor picks up the child, “Kennedy, do you want a little brother or a little sister?”
Kennedy looks upset and shakes his head, “I baby.” He says softly, causing his fathers to melt.
“I know you’re baby,” Steve says ruffling his blond hair “you’re oversized but that’s okay.”
“Is he?” Thor questions, on Asgard a child Kennedy’s size was normal.
“Yes, the doctors were shocked when they were taking his height and weight,” Steve explains “they said he’s the same size as a seven-year-old.” Kennedy yawns and rubs his eyes with his pudgy hands. “Go home?” Kennedy nods. Thor holds their son as they make their way home.
Bucky and Sam were there waiting for them. Kennedy hurriedly crawled onto Uncle Bucky’s lap. Thor noticed that Kennedy kept trying to lift Bucky’s shirt, so as a joke Thor says “don’t tell me you’re expecting.”
Bucky’s jaw dropped, “how did you know?” Steve almost choked on his water.
“You’re pregnant?” Steve wipes off the water that spilled.
“Three months,” Bucky says “I was hoping to tell everyone over dinner but your son spoiled it.” Bucky looked at Kennedy who had successfully lifted his shirt and was now staring at Bucky’s belly, which like Steve’s had before, showed no signs that there was a growing child inside.
Sam goes to pick up Kennedy, managing to hold the toddler he tries to lift, causing Steve, Thor and Bucky to laugh at the sight of Sam’s horrified face. “He’s so big, why is he so big?”
“Because his daddy and his papa are over six feet tall,” Steve says. “Did you hear about what happened on Asgard?” Sam shakes his head. Steve gestures at Thor “take it away Honey.”
