Chapter 2
Kennedy was not a tiny baby, he was rather hefty and disturbingly large, he was almost the same size as his daddy’s torso. It took Steve some adjusting to holding his son, Thor had no issue of course, the rest had issue. Clint had pulled a muscle in his back, Natasha and Bruce’s arms went numb after a few minutes and Tony would only hold the infant if he was suited up, while Fury straight up refused.
His son had been packing on the pounds too so he was even heavier. Steve often resorted to putting his boy in a baby carrier that he wore on his back, but even then Steve found himself aching. Due to this Thor would usually be the one to be with the baby for bed or even naps.
This time Steve insisted on it. He managed to get Kennedy to sleep when he found that he also wanted a nap. Cradling his massive son, Steve got himself situated on the couch. He laid down slowly. Feeling the weight of his son on his chest, Steve almost lost it, he looked over at Bruce who had been sitting quietly with a book. “He’s so heavy,” he whispers.
“Not to alarm you but given how tall you and Thor are, it wouldn’t be surprising if Kennedy ended up being six-foot-four at the minimum.”
“I’m telling you I gave birth to Goliath.” Steve inhaled deeply before exhaling “who needs a weighted blanket when you can just snuggle with Kennedy.”
Bruce left to let the two sleep. Steve kisses the top of his son’s head. Kennedy squirms a little, but settles when Steve pats his bottom. “I love you, my oversized baby.”
