Jealousy jealousy

It was just a normal day in the week, Kate and Lucy just got off work, and the couple wanted to get a drink so they were now on their way to get a cup of coffee from a coffee shop near their building..

"So, when are you supposed to go to this Job orientation?" Kate asked.

"Um, in a couple of days, I think? I'm not sure, Tennant said they will send me an email with all the details soon." Lucy replied.

They reached the coffee shop a few seconds after Lucy answered Kate, "Do you want to sit here or do you want us to take it home?" The blonde asked as she opened the door for Lucy and her.

"Umm, let’s take it home, it's been a long day, plus it's already late and I'm tired," Lucy replied.

There weren't a lot of people in the shop so it didn't take them that long to get their order, they stood in line for about 5 minutes before it was their turn.

Kate swiftly passed Lucy her takeaway coffee cup as she paid the seller, mimicking the smile on her face, sweet yet with a pinch of apprehension.

"How are you feeling about this whole thing?" Kate asked as they reached the door, exiting the coffee shop.

Lucy sighed, "I don't know, I mean I know I signed up for this, but being here it's different. Im scared i wont be able to do my duties due to my aquaphobia " The brunette responded.

It's been a few days since Lucy took the Special Agent Afloat job.

They reached their building as they walked into the entrance, Kate stopped for a moment and Lucy followed.

"Hey, don't worry, you are going to be great out there, and I'll always be here for you, waiting for you, ok? I'm not going anywhere. I promise." Kate said, smiling the smile she reserves only for her girlfriend.

They reached their floor and Kate took out the key to their house and opened the door.

"Yeah, ok," Lucy said as she exhaled a deep breath and then walked to their bedroom, she removed her shoes and switched to more comfortable clothes, she didn't even heard Kate saying she was going to take a shower because as soon as Lucy’s head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.

Two days later, Kate and Lucy were in the blonde's car on their way to her meeting, "Ok, we are here. Remember I'm right here ok?" Kate said as they arrived at the destination. She got out of the car to escort Lucy to the door.

"Yeah, I know that. thank you, my love." Lucy said, she got on her tiptoes to kiss her girlfriend on her forehead, seeing what Lucy wanted to do Kate bent down a little, The brunette landed a soft kiss on the blonde's forehead, "Ok, wish me luck!" Lucy said. She turned to the door and walked into her meeting but not before she heard Kate's little "Good luck, my sweet." with that she smiled and disappeared into the meeting room.

Lucy was in the meeting for a few hours, so meanwhile Kate kept herself busy, she was talking with Tennant over the phone, Alex and Julie were at their dads and Jane was lonely, so although Kate couldn't go to her since she was waiting for Lucy, they did talk for a long time.

The meeting lasted about two hours. Finally, Kate heard the door opening and people walking out. “I gotta go Jane, I'll talk to you later.” the blonde said and hung up the phone. It didn't take that long for Kate to find Lucy, the small Agent walked from the building's door straight into her girlfriend's car.

She gave Kate a small pack as she got into the car and the pair drove away.

Finally, they arrived home around 9 pm.

Lucy kicked her shoes off and took a seat on the couch. She needed to find a way to tell Kate what she had learned this morning. They had agreed on no more secrets between each other unless they were work-related.

"Hey, are you ok? what's wrong? is it the coffee?" Kate asked as she sat near her girlfriend on the couch.

"No, no, the coffee is amazing," Lucy responded with a smile.

"Then what is it?" Kate asked in a worried voice.

Lucy took a deep breath and rested her head against Kate's shoulder.

"We agreed no more secrets, so when I tell you this you can't get jealous."

"Ok." The blonde agreed.

"This morning, when I was at the meeting, I found out that Marcella, the girlfriend I was telling you about at the beach, will be on the ship with me."

Kate couldn't help but chuckle after hearing that information, "Lucy, I could never be jealous of her, she's just someone you used to date in your teen years. You, Lucy Tara, are mine and no one else's. You belong to me, and I trust you Lucy, plus it's only for four months, we are going to get through it together, ok? It will go by so fast you wouldn't even notice.."

"Four months too many, god I want this to be over already." Lucy groaned.

"It'll go by fast...You'll see." Kate responded, kissing Lucy on the head.

"Promise?"

"Yes, my sweet, I promise. Thank you for telling me this though. I love you."

"I love you too, Kate, so much." Lucy replied, landing a small kiss on the blonde's lips.

Kate sat and held Lucy until one of their stomachs started to growl. They bursted out laughing.

"Someone's hungry," Kate said, still laughing.

"Pizza?" Lucy asks

"I'll order while you pick something out to watch?" Kate said while picking up her phone.

"Yeah."

Kate ordered their food and opened a bottle of wine. The pair sat on the couch while they waited for their food to arrive.

30 minutes later, the doorbell rang, "I'll get it." Kate said and got up. She paid the delivery guy and got back to the couch.

The couple ate while watching a movie Lucy LOVED, it was called "Return to Christmas Creek." Kate asked her about the movie, and she told her there was someone there who looked really like the blonde so she liked the movie better. Kate just said "I don't think she looks like me at all." and they had a whole argument about it but no one won, Lucy still thinks that actress looks like Kate and Kate still thinks they look nothing alike so they just dropped it.

After they finished the pizza tray, Lucy let out a little yawn.

"Someone is a little sleepy?" Kate said while letting out a little laugh.

"I guess so, what time is it?"

"Almost 11 pm," The FBI agent replied, "do you want to go to bed?" she asked.

"No, I'm good.” Unfortunately for Lucy, her body didn't let her stay awake for much longer, ten minutes after she yawned again, “Ok, i think it's time for us to sleep.” Kate said.

“Yeah, ok," Lucy said, as they cleaned the living room table and walked to their bedroom.

The day arrived, today Lucy is going away for four months.

The drive to the airport was silent, Lucy knew it was hard for Kate, she wanted to look strong in front of Lucy but the brunette could see right through her, so she chose to put on some music Kate loved.

They arrived at the airport and were surprised to see the whole team there.

"Hey! What are you doing here?"

"You thought you just gonna go away for a few months and we are not gonna be here saying goodbye Luce?" Jesse answered.

Lucy was just in awe of her family.

"Come here," Jesse said, he was the first one to hug her goodbye. Jesse was basically her brother, and even though their age gap wasn't that big, he loved her as a young sister and she loved her as an older brother.

"I'm gonna miss y'all." Her Texas accent came out a little.

"We're going to miss you too, Lucy," Jane said, then walked to the small agent and hugged her. Jane was like a mother-sister to her, she helped her a lot when she was a newbie, and still does. They have a special bond.

"Take care of yourself, Luce," Ernie said, then he hugged her as well. Ernie was also basically her brother, they had a very cute friendship and loved each other dearly.

Kai didn't say anything, he wasn't good at this kind of stuff, so he just extended his arms and Lucy understood what he meant. Kai was a brother to her as well (she has a lot of brothers), they just loved to laugh together and be with their NCIS family.

The entire team had hugged now, they were laughing at something Kai said when they heard someone, "Lucy? Lucy Tara?" It was a woman's voice. A voice Lucy recognized.

"Marcella?" Lucy said in shock.

"We need to go, umm good luck Lucy we love you." The whole team except Kate just left awkwardly, they all knew who Marcella was.

"Oh my god, Lucy! Hey! It's been so long!" Marcella just hugged the small agent.

Kate just stood there, she knows she said she doesn't have anything to be jealous about but still, seeing Lucy's ex-girlfriend touching Lucy, even as just a hug made her feel things she didn't like. Yes, she trusts Lucy, but she doesn't trust Marcella.

"Mmm." Kate fake coughed, interrupting the whole reunion.

"Oh, hey! Didn't see you there. Who are you?" Marcella asked.

"Marcella, this is Kate Whistler, my girlfriend." Lucy introduced.

"Ohh, hi! It's nice to meet you." The girl extended her hand for Kate to shake.

"Nice to meet you too." Kate faked a smile, shook her hand, and went to stand next to Lucy.

"I can't believe we're on the same boat together!" Marcella said, excited.

"Yeah, me neither," Lucy replied.

A few awkward minutes passed then they heard, "This is the final boarding call for all the passengers booked on flight 372A to singapore. Please proceed to gate 3 immediately. The final checks are being completed and the captain will order for the doors of the aircraft to close in approximately five minutes. I repeat. This is the final boarding call for all passengers booked on flight 372A. Thank you."

"Well, I guess it's time," Lucy said, looking at Kate.

"Yeah, I guess it is." they walked with Marcella following them to the gate, Marcella walked in while Lucy and Kate were saying their goodbyes.

"Remember, I'm always here for you, those four months are going to pass by quickly." Kate started, "if you are having trouble sleeping, or you just want to call, I'm always here for you no matter what, ok? Remember that." Kate spoke, tears in her eyes.

"Yeah, I know," Lucy replied, both girls with tears streaming down their faces.

Kate brought her hand to Lucy's face and wiped her tears, "And remember, if I'm not available on the phone, email me or send me a message, and I will reply as soon as possible."

"Yea-" Lucy was about to reply when Marcella came.

"Lucy, come on, we need to get on board!" Marcella interrupted their moment.

"I'm coming." The brunette said.

Kate rolled her eyes, Lucy saw that and tried to calm her down.

"Hey, I thought you said you're not going to get jealous?" she teased the blonde.

"I'm not jealous," Kate said but Lucy saw right through her. "Ok, yes I'm jealous, I'm jealous that my girlfriend is going to be with her ex-girlfriend ok? I don't trust her."

"You have nothing to be jealous about my love, I'm yours ok? I'm always going to come back to you."

"Yeah, ok." The FBI agent said. She gave Lucy a soft kiss on the lips and hugged her immediately.

"I'm really going to miss you." The blonde said.

"I'm going to miss you so much," Lucy replied.

One of the attendants told them they were about to close the gate.

"I love you," Kate said before letting Lucy go.

"I love you too," Lucy answered, they let each other go and Kate watched as the airplane took off.

"Goodbye, I will see you soon." The blonde said with tears, with that she went back to her car, and drove to their house. Their house is only going to feel like a home again when Lucy gets back.
