Chapter 14
Loki's head started to shake, Then his arms start twitching, random jolts.
Bruce quickly turned him onto his side.
“This is nothing to worry about, this is to be expected with how stressful today’s been,” Bruce tells Thor.
The seizure lasts almost three minutes. When it was over, Loki’s body relaxed, and he returned to normal sleep.
“He’s going to be exhausted, he’s had 2 tonic clinic seizures today that’s the name for the full ones and an absent one while you were gone,” Bruce tells Thor.
“He shouldn’t be having that many, I thought he was only meant to have a few a week,” Thor asked worriedly.
“Yes, normally but today’s been very stressful so that explains why he's had more Plus that was only what I estimated he could be having more than I estimated I’m not a proper doctor I don’t specialize in things like this, so I could be wrong we will just have to keep an eye on it and work it out” Bruce explains.
Loki started to wake up and become aware.
“Loki, can you hear me,” Thor asked.
Loki nodded, not yet aware enough to speak.
“You had a pretty bad seizure, are you sure you're ok” Thor asked.
“I'm fine,” Loki said quietly, sitting up and moving the mask off his face.
“I have some medicine you can try. It might not work because it's human medicine, and you’re a God, but it’s better than not trying” Bruce says.
“Ok,” Loki says, taking it from Bruce.
“It's not poisoned if that's what you're worried about” Bruce says as he can tell Loki worried.
“I know that,” Loki said, then swallowed the pill.
“Do you remember what happened?” Bruce asked.
“We were doing the scan,” Loki said.
“Do you remember anything else,” Thor asked
“No Why was there something,” Loki asked
“Nothing important, it’s okay,” Thor said.
“Tell me what I'm forgetting,” Loki said
“Thor, I think you should tell him,” Bruce said.
“Find Father came he wanted to take you back to Asgard I wouldn’t let him He made me choose to stay here with you and let you get help or take you back to Asgard, and you’ll be thrown away in the prison again and more than certainly die,” Thor told Loki.
“ And you picked me,” Loki said.
“I chose you to stay alive, it’s not a hard decision, you’re the only family I’ve got,” Thor said.
“You chose a frost giant over your home and your people,” Loki said.
“If it’s you then yes it’s the only way to keep you alive, family is most important,” Thor told him.
“Would you like to finish the scan that we did earlier, we never finished it in the end,” Bruce asked.
“Yeah, okay, just get it over and done with,” Loki said.
“Okay like earlier, if you want to stop at any time just let us know, and I will stop the machine,” Bruce told Loki.
Loki went back to the machine and laid down.
Bruce and Thor leave the room, the machine starts The scan takes five minutes and then Bruce turns the machine off and goes into the room.
“That’s finished with now I’ve got to look at the scans to know what’s wrong, but I should have the results tonight,” Bruce tells Loki.
“Okay, good,” Loki said.
Loki goes to stand up, but his left leg gives why, Thor catches him.
“You ok,” Thor says worriedly.
“I'm fine” Loki tried to stand, but his left leg gives way again.
“Banner, what’s wrong with him,” Thor asked.
“This is probably temporary paralysis, it's common with bad seizures” Bruce tells Thor.
“But he was fine just now,” Thor said.
“Yes, but it could be a start of a partial seizure or some leftover seizure activity that took a minute to be noticeable I recommend keeping on eye on it just in case it’s something else, but it should be nothing,” Bruce says.
“How long will it take to back to normal if it is a part of a seizure,” Loki asks.
“Probably a few hours you should probably use a cane or crutches to get around until it's back to normal, others you might struggle to get around,” Bruce tells Loki.
“Absolutely not they are mortal healing devices I’m a God I don’t need to use them I’ll be fine I’ll take it easy, but that's it,” Loki says.
Loki tries to walk, but his left leg gives way again, Thor catches him.
“You should listen to banner you can’t walk, You need to use what Banner suggested” Thor tells him.
“Everyone will think I’m weak” Loki shouts.
“No, they won't, I won't let them” Thor promises Loki.
“I’m a God, I shouldn’t need mortal healing stuff,” Loki says.
“You are injured and ill, it’s OK to need help,” Thor tells Loki.
Loki knew he wasn’t going to win this argument.
“Fine, just for a few hours, that’s it,” Loki says.
“Thank you, I don’t want you in pain or struggling,” Thor tells Loki.
Loki rolled his eyes, “sentiment”
“Yeah, I know,” Thor says.
Loki made a cane out of his magic.
He and Thor then went to go to the sitting room where the others were.
“Not trying to be rude, but your father is gone isn’t he,” tony asked.
“Yes, he’s gone, and he won’t be returning,” Thor says.
“What did he want, he just came in here all guns blazing bursting through my tower,” tony said
“I apologize stark I didn’t know he would do that I knew there be some sort of issue but not like that” Thor tells tony.
“He kept shouting he wanted Loki what did he want him did you want him back in the prison” tony asked.
“Yes, he did he made me choose between staying here with all of you and keeping Loki save or giving Loki back to him letting him be put back in prison and almost certainly killed he said if I chose the first one I could not go home I would not be welcome, and I will have to stay here,” Thor tells tony.
“Well, as reindeer games is still here, I guess you picked the first one,” Tony says.
“Yes, I did he’s my family and the only family I have, I can’t let him be sent back and killed,” Thor says.
“Well I don’t like your brother for obvious reasons, but it’s your decision to make and in your place, I think it was a good decision,” tony said.
“Thank you, Stark,” Thor said.
Clint and Natasha went off to go and talk about something.
“You Okay reindeer games,” Tony said looking at Loki.
“Why wouldn’t I be,” Loki said, seeing tony was looking at the cane.
“I'm not weak,” Loki told him.
“I never said you were, just asking if you’re okay,” Thor said.
“I’m fine,” Loki said.
Bruce entered the room.
“He’s fine Tony, it’s from the stress of Thor's and his father,” Bruce says.
“Yeah, that’s fine, just want to make sure he’s not going to do anything he shouldn’t,” I think we get some lunch even though it’s past lunchtime,” tony said.
They all left to get some lunch
Loki went to get some food
Loki saw Thor looking at him, wanting to help, but not wanting to annoy Loki by asking if he needed help.
Loki sat down and Thor sat next to him.
“I can manage to get my food, I’m not that  useless,” Loki told Thor quietly, so the others didn’t hear.
“I never said you were just if you want or need help just ask, it’s ok,” Thor said.
“Where is your hammer” tony asked.
“My father took it, that’s what I get for choosing the first choice,” Thor told tony.
“That’s just stupid, I’m sorry, but it is” tony said.
“It doesn’t matter, maybe I’ll get it back one day, perhaps I won't, I have to learn to live without it as much as I like my hammer Loki's life is more important,” Thor said.
“You can still use your powers without it, You just don’t know how,” Loki told Thor.
“How do you know,” Thor asked.
“Because I do, you just need to learn how to control them,” Loki tells Thor.
“Hopefully, you can learn how to control some of it but by the time we’ve got a next mission you are always a great help and on missions,” tony said.
“Hopefully” Thor replied.
The rest of the day goes fine without any issues.
