Chapter 8
Steve arrived at the compound first, followed by Clint and Natasha, who arrived together. The three of them headed into the sitting room. Where Tony was waiting for them.
“I have an announcement, so everyone listen to me, we have three new guests, and they’re staying with us for a while that’s why I got you to leave your weapons at the door but don’t worry I’ve already told the guests if they give us a reason to hurt them then you may have weapons that I own, but we are going to keep it calm as possible and keep them safe if you disagree you can leave,” Tony says.
Thor Loki and Amoril walked into the room, not realizing that the other avengers had arrived yet.
“You what are you doing here you are meant to be at your home in prison, why are you here in stark tower” Clint shouted at Loki, Natasha had to hold him back. Otherwise, he would have run at Loki.
“Thor brought me here, I’m not here to hurt you or anyone,” Loki told him.
“Clint, calm down, remember what I said there’s no fighting. Otherwise, you can leave” Tony says.
“No fighting in case you forgot he brainwashed me and made me kill people and made me attack Nick fury and Natasha nearly killing them as well as killing innocent people” Clint shouted at Tony.
“Yes I know he did, but I’m doing it for Thor, not for him Thor said that he’s in danger of getting killed if he’s at home and Thor wants to save him I’m doing it for Thor not for him as I said I’ve already told him if he causes us any trouble or threatens us that he can leave and go back home I don’t care he’s only staying here if he causes no problems,” Tony said.
Amoril looked at Loki, who had started shaking, and she knew that this would probably lead to a seizure.
“Loki, do you want to go to a different room?” amoril asks.
Loki just nodded and started walking towards the exit. Amoril had a feeling this meant he was going to have a seizure and didn’t want to have it in front of the avengers.
Amoril started following him until Clint blocked the exit.
“Where do you think you're going I’m not finished with you yet,” Clint says
“Please move out our way, we were just going to sit in another room,” Amoril says
“Why not stay in this room is it because you want to avoid owning up to your actions and don’t want to deal with the consequences of your actions,” Clint says
Amoril knew she had to sort this out quickly and didn’t want to tell him the truth, so she lied.
“No, it’s because he's a bit dizzy and I thought it would be good for him to go and sit down where there’s no shouting,” Amoril says.
“I don’t believe you since when can’t a god handle a bit of dizziness he’s a God he survived being hulk smashed and survived getting thrown into stark tower and multiple other things he can survive a bit of dizziness,” Clint says.
“Thor, can you get him to move, he will not,” Amoril says.
Thor looked over and saw Loki and realized what Amoril was trying to do.
“ Friend Barton, can you come away from the door please,” Thor says.
“Shouldn’t he stay in our eyesight, so then we know he’s not up to no good, I don’t trust him at all” Clint says.
And at that moment, Loki dropped to the floor and had a seizure in front of everyone.
“What the hell,” Clint says.
Bruce runs over to Loki.
“ Is this normal for him?” Bruce says.
Amoril looks at Bruce,“ he’s been having them since he returned from New York” Amoril says.
“Right ok in that case The best thing to do is to let it run Tony Can you pass me a cushion from the sofa, so I can put it under his head,” Bruce says.
Tony passed Bruce a cushion, and Bruce put it under Loki's head and rolled him onto his side.
“How many has he had since returning,” Bruce asks.
Thor looks at Bruce “we don’t actually know because he was put in the prison cell, but he had one the day he returned, and then he had another one but our father and the guards assumed that he was tricking us and lying and faking it somehow so as far as I’m aware this is the third one I think he had some more, but the guard hid it and covered it up” Thor says worried and concerned about what could possibly be wrong with Loki.
Amoril looks at Thor “yeah he’s had more he had one in the cell when I was in there with him and when I first got put in there I’m pretty sure he was just recovering from one And he had one when I was in there when he woke up and was alert he told me that he’s had a few before and Alastor knows and did nothing at first he thought he was faking them then he knew he wasn’t and didn’t care and The medicine EIR gave him Alastor smashed on the floor, and he informed me that he did it because he wanted to hurt him and convince everyone that Loki was lying and faking” Amoril says.
“Ok so this is at least The fifth one you took him back what 4 months ago, so he’s having more than one month, and you think that he had quite a few others so going on that guess he’s probably had multiple a week it would be good to find out how often he’s having them hopefully he remembers rough guess of how many,” Bruce says.
Loki starts to wake up.
“Are you ok?” Amoril says.
Loki nods, They gave him a few minutes to wake up properly.
Loki is then led to the med room to be checked by Bruce Amoril and Thor help him as he is dizzy and Loki sits down Thor and Amoril go to talk to others to not overcrowd Loki.
Bruce comes over to him to ask him some questions “how long have you been having these” Bruce says to check Loki’s memories.
“Since New York,” Loki says.
“Ok, do you know how many roughly you have had,” Bruce says.
“I don’t remember a lot, though,” Loki says.
“Thor and Amoril said to their knowledge it’s about 5 but Amoril reckons you had some in between the times They found you,” Bruce says.
“Yeah, I’ve had a lot more than that” Loki says.
“And they said EIR gave you medicine in case you weren’t faking them,” Bruce says.
“Why would I fake them? What reason would I have to fake them” Loki shouted.
Loki's eyes then rolled back, and he collapsed, the only thing stopping him from falling off the bed and face-planting the floor was Bruce's quick reaction
Loki quickly became alert and seemed confused.
You passed out. I had to catch you to stop you face planting the floor.
“I'm fine,” Loki tells him.
“I didn’t say you Were faking, That’s what the guards and your father believed,” Bruce says
“He’s not my father, and I’m not staying here I’m leaving,” Loki says
Loki starts walking out of the room but is still dizzy and almost falls over, but Bruce catches him again.
“I think you should sit down,” Bruce Tells him
Loki sits down but doesn’t say anything because he knows there’s a chance he might not make it out of the room without tripping.
“I am just trying to help, did you get any of the medicine before the guard smashed it,” Bruce asked.
“No, I was led back to the prison cell, and he showed me and then smashed it on the floor. And said that it’s a good thing I’m lying and faking them because if I wasn't, I would be in quite a predicament” Loki says.
Bruce looked at him shocked
“Ok and when Amoril found you and saw the bottle smashed she said you were just going into a seizure is this true from what you can remember,” Bruce says
“Yes I think, but I’m not certain,” Loki told Bruce.
“OK” so we’re going to go to the estimation that you’ll have them multiple times a week at least also amoril said that you’re dizzy sometimes and pretty much faint how many times has that happened similar to what just happened,” Bruce says
“Not sure, not many about 5 I think,” Loki said.
“Ok, is it always close to a seizure” Bruce Inquired.
“Generally” Loki answered.
“Ok, that makes sense people can faint just before a seizure you probably have epilepsy Or something like that because of how many you’ve had, but we won’t know for sure Until we’ve seen you have a few. We can give you some medicine if you want to try it.”
I'm not sure how it’s going to work considering that you're a god, and we only have human medicine. Also, did you hit your head at any time in New York” Bruce says.
“Yes when the hulk hulk smashed me I hit my head a few times and when I was thrown into Stark tower a couple of other times including being thrown through a wall but wouldn’t I have had them then why when I got back,” Loki asked.
Bruce looks shocked and looked at Loki“ no not necessarily you would’ve been stressed when you saw Odin and stress can cause them to happen also What did the guard, do if they found you having them” Bruce says
Loki looks away from Bruce“ he would either laugh or repeat that I was faking them he saw me having quite a few I think and seemed to think I was faking them so didn’t tell anyone and when he and the other guards did start to believe they were real they pretended they didn’t and wanted me to get hurt” Loki says
Bruce could see Loki getting upset, so decides to end the conversation there.
“You should stay here and gets some sleep, we can finish the conversation later,” Bruce says.
Loki says nothing and Bruce walks outside and sees Amoril and Thor waiting outside.
“Is he ok?” Thor asked.
“Yeah he’s fine just tired I think he might have epilepsy caused by a head injury, and he likely got it in the New York fight But we won’t know for sure until we run a few tests and keep an eye on him,” Bruce says
“What does that mean for the future?” Amoril asks.
“Basically, just means that He has to be extra careful not to get stressed or freaked out or also him being exhausted or hungry could cause it as well also he has had Way More than 4 or 5 he doesn’t know how many exactly it’s a lot more I would probably say at least a few a week Has he eaten at all since you’ve left,” Bruce says
“Yeah, but not much,” Thor says.
“Do you know when the last seizure was, except today’s one?” Bruce asked.
“Yeah when we were in the dungeons together that was The day before we left so about four days ago,” amoril says
Thor looks sad and looks at Bruce“ I didn’t visit him in the dungeons because I was so busy with becoming king preparations and training, so I didn’t notice anything also when I did notice I was busy planning a way to escape, but I didn’t think he was faking them it’s not something he would fake He had one when we got back, but they just said he was stressed, and he’ll be fine, and then he had another one that we know of when she brought him to the healers, but the guard told my father he was faking it and that he hadn’t seen him have any others but that one, so my father agreed that he must be faking it and sent him back” Thor says.
“Yeah and when I went and saw him a couple of days after not believing the guard he was just going into one and that’s when I notice his medicine on the floor broken Thor You shouldn’t feel bad at least you didn’t think he was faking them like your father and the other guards did And it turns out Alastor did start to believe him but pretended he didn’t because of what happened in New York and whatever happened before he seemed to want to take it out on him so when they actually believed him they didn’t tell anyone and just let him suffer,” amoril says.
“Wait what, so you’re telling me that Alastor did believe him at some point but just ignored it“ Thor shouted Lightning started to appear on his hands
“Yes he started to believe him at some point he said when EIR gave the medicine the guard showed it to him and smashed it and said it’s a good thing you’re faking them otherwise you’ll be in quite the predicament, and he thinks that they believed him at that point, and they were just doing that to be mean, but that’s in the past now and there’s no need to cause a power cut because of it,” Bruce says trying to lighten the mood.
Amoril managed to calm Thor down, and they went into the living room to wait for Loki’s return. Bruce went off and found tiny sitting in the kitchen.
“ So how is he,” Tony asked.
“ He’s ok, tired but fine and turns out he probably has epilepsy due to a head injury in the New York attack,” Bruce says.
“You blame yourself don’t you it’s not your fault it was hulk that did it plus he was a bad guy that you had to stop from killing people,” Tony says.
“Yeah I know, but it was still my fault, and he knows that,” Bruce says.
“I don’t think he’s blaming you, and you should move on from it. You could help him going forward to make up for it” Tony says.
“Yeah I’m definitely going to help him he is going to need quite a bit of help going forward my calculations and what he’s told me it seems like he’s having them at least a few a week if not more sometimes don’t forget he’s literally fainting about 6 times in four months so roughly about once a month, and It’s always before or after a seizure he also got angry when I was talking to him and passed out,” Bruce says.
“OK, with him having that many, how did their father not believe him? Did their father think he was just faking everything happening that often for attention like that many should raise suspicion” tony asks.
“Most of them were in the dungeons and the father never visited him and the guard knew and just lied about them,” Bruce tells him.
“That’s messed up,” Tony says.
“Yeah, And when the guard was given medicine just in case he wasn’t faking them he smashed it on the ground in front of him also by the sound of it the guard also starved him and threatened to hurt and kill him. ” Bruce tells him.
“I’m not surprised Thor brought him here with all that going on, he deserves to be punished for New York, but that’s a bit much,” Tony said.
