The Man With The Strange Helmet
As Charles and Eric come back with a Woman at their side, they see a big mess and the mutants out of control. Raven and Angel were dancing to loud music while Hank was hanging upside down from the ceiling. Alex and Sean were testing Darwin's ability by hitting him on the back with wood and Ava was sitting in the corner eating popcorn.
Charles lectured them, mostly Raven, and introduced them to Moira Mactaggart. Then he Eric were off to place called Russia which Ava has never heard of.
Now they're all relaxing in a different room. "What was that?" Darwin suddenly asks. "I don't know. Something doesn't feel right," he adds and goes to look out the window, Ava and the others following him.
Darwin presses a button next to the window and the curtains open. They all look u as two silhouettes can be seen in front of the moon. "What is that?" one of the mutants around Ava asks then one of the persons disappears and the second one falls to the ground, screaming.
As the person falls down directly in front of their window, the mutants jump back and Angel and Ravel scream. All around the building, the light turns on as even more CIA agents fall from the sky.
Men with guns appear in front of the room and tell the mutants to stay inside. With a red puff of smoke, a guy appears. His black hair is slicked back and with his red skin and the tail with triangle tip, he looks like the devil to the men.
"Shoot! Shoot!" the guy who seems to be in command yells at the other men. The Mutants quickly hide behind one of the black sofas. The attacking mutant teleports to one of the armed men, who tries to shoot him but hits the glass of the room, which shatters.
Bullets continue to fly through the room and the mutants try not to get hit. On the other side of the room is another window through which the mutants can now see a tornado. The teleporter appears again in front of their room and they look too him, fear written all over their faces while Darwin stands in front, to protect them from bullets.
As the man continues to slice through the CIA agents with two knives Darwin yells, "Stay here, my ass! Let's go!"
The group of mutants starts to run through the building. Three Agents try to stop them by yelling at them to get back.
"We can help!" Darwin repeatedly tels them but they don't listen. An explosion starts off, which forces the little group to run back in the room. As they arrive the tornado is once again causing havoc and even more men get killed by the red mutant.
The tornado destroys the other glass of the room by throwing a man through it.
A man with a strange helmet comes through the door and asks for Charles. As it's clear that he isn't there, he takes off his helmet. The Man has brown hair and his eyes seem to be blue but Jaylah can't really tell and doesn't care at the moment.
"Good evening. My name is Sebastian Shaw." the man says stepping forward "And I am not here to hurt you."
"Freeze!" a leftover agent yells at the Shaw guy.
"Azazel" Shaw guy says and the man with the tail, Azazel, teleports to the agent in a red puff to kill him.
"My friends, there is a revolution coming." Shaw guy says, handing the strange helmet t a guy in a silver suit who Ava only now notices. "When mankind discovers who we are, what we can do, each of us will face a choice. Be enslaved" for some reason that Ava didn't understand, Shaw guy looks at Darwin, "Or rise up to rule. Choose freely, but know that if you are not with us, then, by definition, you are against us. So, you can stay and fight for the people who hate and fear you, or you can join me and live like kings.", he looks at Hank, then at Angel, "And Queens."
He holds out his hand. After hesitating a bit, Angel takes it. Shaw guy and Angel start to leave.
"Angel," Raven says. "Are you kidding me?" Darwin asks.
"Come on," Angel tilts her head towards the Shaw guy, "We don't belong here. And that's nothing to be ashamed of." She turns to leave, her hand still in the on of Shaw guy.
"We have to do something," Raven says. Ava nods. Darwin and Alex whisper to each other and Alex seems angry at his friend.
"Stop. I'm coming with you." Darwin says. Shaw guy smiles and steps forward, "good choice. So, tell me about your mutation.
"Well, I adapt to survive. So, I guess I'm coming with you."
"I like that." Shaw makes a hand gesture towards their little group and Darwin walks towards Angel. "Alex!" he yells.
"Get out!" the blond mutant yells. The youngsters quickly duck away as Darwin yells "Do it!" and puts himself in front of Angel, as is body turns to stone.
Alex once again sends out his red laser rings but Shaw spreads out his arms and absorbs the energy, "Protecting your fellow mutants? That's a noble gesture. Feels good."
Darwin attacks but Shaw quickly blocks his fist then holds onto his chin. "Adapt to this," he says. Ava quickly teleports towards them but Azazel grabs her and teleports both into the air. Shortly after, he's gone and Ava is falling. She's never teleported away in free fall. Her eyes grow wide but then she quickly shuts them to concentrate. As she's sure, she's gonna be Ava pancake in a second, she manages to safely teleport to the ground.
Ava is breathing heavily and as she looks up, she sees Darwin burst into dust.
Charles and Eric arrive again and tells the group that there have been made arrangements to send them all home again.
"We're not going anywhere." Sean says and then nods to Alex, "He's not going back to prison."
Alex adds, "They killed Darwin."
"All the more reason for you to leave. This is over." Charles tells them.
Raven has tears in her eyes, "Darwin's dead, Charles. And we can't even bury him."
"But we can avenge him" Eric and Ava speak at the same time.
Charles and Eric turn away for a moment to talk with each other. As they come back Charles says, "We'll have to train. All of us. Yes?"
"Yeah" Alex agrees.
Hank interrupts "We can't stay here. Even if they re-opened the department, it's not safe. We've got nowhere to go."
"Yes, we do," Charles says, smiling slightly.
