After work (peter parker)

I'm not sure when he got in the building but my heart drops when Peter heads towards me. He wouldn't need to be here unless someone else needs to get out. I came here for a map that wasn't too hard to find, just a simple get in and get out. He was on the other side of the street taking care of the real threat.

If he's here then I'm in danger is repeating in my head and I start sprinting towards him. I really hope I didn't walk into a trap without realizing anything until the last minute. Maybe I can have the benefit of the doubt and say it's bad luck.

"They're going to bomb the whole block we need to get out now" He practically shouted so I nodded, we're only a few feet away from each other so he turns around towards the stairwell exit. I can hear the helicopter they're using but I have no idea where it is. I open it up and almost jump the railing whenever we realize they're right on top of us. But they must have only fired once, from what I hear it's hit the building in the middle. It's only five stories tall but I was only on the third floor so we just need to worry about getting overhead protection. His metal spider legs came out to shield us from the chunks of concrete and everything crashing on top of us. I think we managed to get under the staircase because the space we're in is barely being crushed. He boxed me in with his arms and the legs had made a cage over us. It immediately became smokey so I close my eyes, I can't make out anything to see if I'm right about the stairs anyway.
The noise is defending and I wrap my arms around him, he tenses up but starts to hug back. I have no idea how long it lasted but it goes quiet, there only a few background noises of leftover debris falling. I open my eyes but it's pitch black, his mask eyes are closed but when I pull away from him they open up and start glowing a light blue.

He talks to Friday for a moment and the eye sockets begin shining a light as bright as a flashlight in the little hole we had managed to stay in. We looked up to see that none of the legs were damaged, he sighed out of relief. My eyes wandered to the stairs that had only gotten a few cracks in the middle, we were right under the bottom floor staircase.

"Please tell me you're okay" He started unraveling his arms from my torso.

"Yeah does our ride out of here know we're still here? I didn't get hurt it honestly wasn't that bad" I look up at him and the light from his mask is much more dim. He turns around and I see the exit isn't completely covered but I doubt there's anything we can do to move it.

"Yeah not that bad, if you're not claustrophobic" he tried to move a leg but the rock mixture shifted immediately. "I think it's best to wait here, even if I hate the idea of staying that long" he spoke quieter at the last part and I notice he's started taking off the suit. I turn my head around, the area we have is pretty large considering the 4 other staircases that had came down. He stepped out of the suit and I notice he's wearing a t-shirt and some sweatpants.

"So Petey did you contact them we need a rescue? I'm sure that they handled the helicopter after what happened" I motioned for him to sit down and we both lean our backs on the wall once we get settled.

"Friday called and they said 3-5 hours, I'm not sure if the helicopter went down easy" he sighed and started leaning on me. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it.

"Well I'll be fine as long as you're okay" I started leaning my head on top of his and we both sat there in silence.

I'm not sure how long it's been since we got stuck, but I can tell we're both reaching our limit. He broke the silence a little while ago and we've been talking about things that we'll both forget about later.

"Peter you'll let me take you for ice cream after we clock out right?"

"Only if you'll come over and stay for dinner next week" he quickly responded.

"Date?" I try to ask without seeming too excited.

He nodded and hummed yeah quietly, I'm sure he'll fall asleep soon and I yawn at the thought.

Eventually they get us out, I had to keep my eyes squinted to even be able to walk out of our self made bomb shelter. Peter grabbed my hand and led me through the leftover damage towards the ship we took to get here.

We get in and it's only 5, "We should get some dinner tonight too, just to practice" I look over at him and he smiles.

"Only if you'll let me practice other things too" I shove his arm and he chuckles.

"Deal"
