Post civil war that ignores all that happens after that point. Also I will never not be salty about Wanda, Steve, and to a degree Natasha. I still stand on my stance that they should have sat down and talked things out and that Steve and Natasha should have told Tony a long time ago.
Wanda, both MCU and comics, is a character I've never really liked much and I very much think MCU her should have dealt with the consequences of her choices. (Joining Hydra, mindfucking most of the team, ect.)

After the New York invasion the industry surrounding anything space centered started booming. New companies popped up and new ships built.

Alterra is at the top when it comes to spacefairing ships at the moment. Thanks to a run in with some lost aliens they now got the tech to travel the stars without having to have their passengers essentially being sent years into the future for Earth. [It's a legit thing that I don't know the details of. It's basically where if anyone is sent super far away from earth they're basically going to be gone for MANY years if not hundreds or thousands depending on how far they're sent]

Alterra has been studying and meeting other species for a few years (with UN representatives on board) and now have begun doing "cruise space ships" that travel through various systems.

Tony Stark, post civil war, is tired.

He's finally out of the hospital, got his best friend braces for his legs, apologized to the kid and helped him set up a system so he doesn't burn out from both school and being a hero (because he KNOWS the kid won't stop no matter what he says), found some new recruits for the avengers, and gotten Ross imprisoned like he planed.

The new avengers can be whomever you'd like as long as it isn't the rogues (barring perhaps Sam, Scott, and maybe Bucky but Bucky deserves a break so maybe he can stay with his goats in Wakanda)

Footage of the bunker turned out to have been live streamed to the world, probably part of Zemos plan, so the media has being going nuts over it.

Pepper and Happy ended up getting together later on which Tony is happy about because he loves them both and they deserve the best.

Maybe he and Pepper still have Morgan from their past relationship and share custody? If so he is the dad we see in Endgame. It's your choice if you want to include her or not.

On the plus side he also finally found all the pieces of Jarvis' code that was left on the net (not all of it was found in AoU) and is working on bringing him back. Friday is happy to have her big bro back and maybe wants to hang out with Pepper and help run Stark Industries more than the hero work. Tony respects her choice of course.

But anyway, he's tired. Tired of the media, tired of the rogues, he's burned out and the new Avengers encourages him to take a vacation. So he decides to take them up on their recommendation and both he and the returned Jarvis take a vacation.

Alterra cruise probably wasn't the best choice to make though.

Now Tony is stranded on a planet that the Alterra tech calls 4546B, a mostly water planet with unknown creatures and some kind of disease going around that has ALREADY infected him.

From here Tony takes the place of the player in the Subnautica game, only he takes it up a few notches by fixing up a way to help the planets ecosystem recover better. He also gets Mama emperor outside the containment with her children so she can experience freedom again before she passes.
He is healed by the enzyme but was very close to the final stage of the disease and it, mixed with the small bit of extremis he used on himself to get the arc reactor out, and some of the precursor tech, has had odd affects on him.

This is basically me giving him the technopathy from the comics.

He does have one of his suits, specifically the nanotech one from Infinity war/Endgame, it's also where Jarvis is uploaded at the moment. He records everything and is sending the data back home via the various space satellites and stations now set up.

Tony ends up finding the cuddlefish eggs and they adore him. He does find them cute but worries about them and does not want to leave them behind. He has also ended up with a small school of hooverfish that follow him around and smile cutely at him when they see him.

He has no idea why they like him so much.

The warpers aren't much of a problem anymore but a few tend to stalk him. It's like they don't know what to do now that the kharra is cured.

He is working on a spaceship of his own when a hurricane hits the area. The leviathan class creatures are losing their mind during the storm and Tony ends up letting both cuddle fish and even the school of hoover fish (he didn't know they could walk on land but they jumped inside from his moonpool and won't go back) into his creature observation tank.

Problem is his base is getting beaten to hell during all this and is starting to fall apart and flood. So, using the Ironman suit, he takes the tank into the cyclops with him in order to escape the leviathans and the storm.

The cyclops already has an even smaller tank for peepers and bladderfish near one of the doors, he keeps the cuddlefish and hoovers in the driver's room with him.

While attempting to avoid attacks from reapers and such he ends up needing to avoid ghost leviathans in the void. He can't go back due to the storm so he and Jarvis try to find another land. They do find some...it's just covered in snow and ice. All new fish swimming about and everything. He can't let the cuddlefish and hoovers out now...they might not survive the cold!

...okay turns out while the top is covered I'm ice and snow the water itself is surprisingly not as cold...still cold when you're near icebergs but not hypothermia triggering cold.

There is alien tech here too...only this time it's attempting to communicate. Neither he nor Jarvis can understand what it's trying to say but it never tries to hack them or take over the cyclops. Instead is uploads not only a map but also a location.

Tony decides to check it out. He finds a building underwater that is talking in what sounds like different languages but he can't understand any of them.

It takes a while of him working through the tech with his technopathy but he finally translates "help. Power dropping. New storage" being the hero that he is he offers his help.

....and ends up with an alien in his head.

Luckily Al-an is very apologetic once he understands the language and realizes he crossed a boundary.

Tony and Al-an get along better than expected. JARVIS is put out that he invaded Sir's mind but they get along as well.

Tony tells Al-an about what happened on the planet (and about the sea emperor's telepathy and such). Al-an is shocked and saddened that he and his people had kept an sentient being locked up for so long. They truly did not know she was sentient to that extent.

They also talk about human's, much like in below zero canon, and Tony helps find a way to make Al-an a new body. Jarvis is still recording and sending it back home. Though he does edit some things for Al-an sake when it comes to his people.

Ice worms are a bitch and Tony HATES them.
This world's equivalent to polar bears are cute but too bitey.

Al-an saying to his people the character could be considered a pet is still said but it's also his attempt at a joke.

Tony offers to go with Al-an with a buttload of the enzyme so he can help his people. Al-an offers to take Tony home afterwards. Jarvis does not record the phase gate or Al-an home planet.

Maybe Al-an's people live, be it uploaded to the net or hopping into new bodies over and over, or you could have them all be gone and Al-an be the only one left...much to al-an's despair.

Either way Al-an offers to use his tech to heal some of Tony's older wounds. Doing this will have Tony being physically in his prime and maybe even enhanced by accident. He still keeps his technopathy though.

The cuddle fish, hoover fish, and maybe the below zero pet fish all stay with Tony.
He even builds them their own huge aquarium that links to many other rooms just for them.

Al-an goes to earth with Tony in order to set up an alliance as thanks...also Tony is Al-an first friend in a very long time and he'd rather keep him.

Earth has been watching the Subnautica Stark Stream religiously since they started getting signals from Jarvis (unfortunately while he was aiming for SI only, with it bouncing through so many satellites he ended up sending to the internet itself...and you can't delete anything from Jarvis unless he allows it.)

Which means Al-an already has fans by the time they get to Earth and it flusters him a lot.

If the rogues show up Al-an is immune to Wanda's mindfuckery.
He also intimidates the fuck outta them since he's so dang big and really doesn't like them.
