What if Jarvis wasn't actually an A.I.?

Anyone who hasnt seen the Agent Carter show, and plan to do so, need to not read this because there is kinda minor spoilers.

You were warned.

Edwin Jarvis and his wife Anna had wanted children but the event which injured Anna destroyed any chance they had....but what if it didn't?

A few years before Tony would be born to Howard and Maria, a miracle happens for the Jarvis family. Anna is pregnant, Howard pays for the best doctors to make sure nothing happens to their unborn child. After a terrifying pregnancy they have a son.

When Tony is born the young Jarvis (first name can be of your choosing) adores the baby. He also has a habit of following his father's lead, calling the baby Sir and Mr./Mrs. Stark elder sir/miss.
Tony loves the Jarvis family and would always play with the younger Jarvis. Tony had a lisp when he was younger and could not pronounce the young Jarvis' name so the younger one told him to just call him Jarvis or Jay. They stayed together throughout their lives and if anything went wrong Tony would run to Jay for comfort.
Jay matched Tony in wit (inherited from his father) and intelligence. Both boys would nearly always be seen building together and planning the next project together, each giving ideas on how to make it better.

During their college years they met Rhodey and became friends with him.

They gained friends in Pepper and Happy after Tony took over the company, with Jay as his assistant.

However when they were both in their mid 20's Jay got sick.
A rare form of cancer, untreatable and deadly. Tony searches the world for doctors that could find the cure, Jay gets weaker and weaker, kemo doesn't help. Tony is desperate not to lose Jay (lovers or platonic doesnt matter) Jay is also terrified of leaving Tony.

Jay has a plan and asks Tony for help, he agrees.

They find a way to upload Jay's mind into a vast amount of linked computers and then put Jay's body in a form of stasis. Jay's body will remain intact but Jay will still remain with Tony. Tony continues to fund research facilities in search of the cure.

Most of the marvel movies are canon (except for pepper and Tony being together/tony sleeping with all the women if you go with him and Jay being lovers)
During the second Avengers movie Jay manages to convince Tony not to research the staff and just let thor take it. Ultron is not created but the Maximoff twins are impatient and attack the tower. Wanda attempts to hit all the avengers with her mind powers at once, she did not account for her magic counting Jay as a human.

She wanted the avengers to see who Tony Stark really was, straight from his own memories, to make them despise him as much as they did. Instead they see Tony and Jay's story, they see Tony trying so hard while dealing with PTSD, anxiety, and well hidden self esteem issues. They see Tony in his worst moments (Afghanistan, stane, Howard yelling) and his best (celebrating Dumme's creation, finding a way to save Jay in some form, charity gala's, business meetings over eco friendly tech)

They see it all in a mixture of Tony point of view (filled with his thoughts on himself and situations) and Jay's point of view.

When they all break free of it Wanda is pissed and having a tantrum over her plan failing, magic flying everywhere and her brother is looking at her like he is scared. Everyone gets flung by her power before thor knocks her out while cap knocks Petro out while he is distracted.

Tony has no idea what to do and everyone is staring at him with looks he doesn't recognize on their faces.

The avengers are now aware of how human he is and over the course of the next few weeks act differently toward him (they sent the twins to prison because they did break laws here). Tony attempts to ignore the whole situation by working alone in his lab.

Bruce starts to bring him food and drinks regularly each day.

Clint asks how he is doing and complains much less then before.

Sam sits with him and offers him advice on how to work on his PTSD and offers to listen if he ever needs to talk.

Natasha, after the first week of silence, apologizes to him for the jabs she would take at him and never mentions his ego again.

Thor, in a soft understanding tone, commends him for his skills and his ability to save Jay and asks after the illness that harmed Jay's body. He then offers to return home to ask one of their healers if they could find a cure for it. (This actually makes Tony choke up and they hug briefly...the hug is awkward but Thor is an affectionate person so it is alright. )

Steve feels like a jerk and is guilty because he saw himself through tonys eyes and saw himself acting like a bully. He tries to be better and more understanding, he also works up the courage to sit down with Tony and tell him about what he discovered the year shield fell (you know, that his buddy killed Tony's parents). Tony is upset and angry, shouting at him for a bit but does calm down. After a few days of giving him the could shoulder Tony talks to him again and apologizes for going off (back and forth apologies from both until they both agree to move on from it)

The team all now treat Jay like a person, they hadn't before because they didn't know but it was still rude, and Jay is touched.

Basically the team becomes an actual team and treats each other as such. At some point the cure should be found/created (doctors on earth, thor bringing it back from home, doesnt matter how) and Jay is able to be in his body again. Happy endings all around
Ignoring civil war, infinity war, and endgame are totally fine. This is a happy story we need no more pain here.
