It's finally graduation day. I woke up before the sun rose and went on my morning run. Usually I would run in my human form most of the time but there was so much excessive excitement coursing through me that I decided to run in my wolf form instead. God, it seems like Jamie and I had just started high school yesterday and now we're graduating.
James barged into my room, waking me up from my slumber.
" Come on, we're gonna be high schooler," he tells me laying down next to me. " Can you imagine?" I hum in acknowledgement. Summer had just ended and our first day of high school was today.
" It seemed so far away when we were in kindergarten," I tell him. " Now we're here." We lay in silence reminiscing. Mom came into my room.
" My babies," She says joining us in bed. We cuddled to her side. " You guys ready?" Nope but I don't voice that not that I needed to with mom being able to read my mind and my twin being able to sense my emotions.
" How did you feel when you went to high school?" I ask her.
" I didn't go to high school," She tells us. Jamie and I look at each other surprised. We both assumed our parents went to school because they're both smart.
" You didn't?" Jamie asks tilting his head.
" Nope, your mama, uncle P, and I never went to high school but we still got an education," She tells us.
" Did you get homeschooled?" I ask her. She thinks for a second before answering.
" In a way kinda," She tells us but she wasn't really making sense. Before she could go into a more elaborated explanation. Ness and Nat came into my room.
" Mama says breakfast is read," Ness says.
" She told us to get you guys since mommy didn't do her job," Nat says with a cheeky grin. Mom rolls her eyes playfully before get off the bed to go to the twins.
" Well tell mama, we'll be down soon ok?" Mom says kissing their heads before sending them off to mama. She then turned to us. " Come on, we better get going to breakfast. So get ready." She then leaves.
" Hey we'll be ok," Jamie tells me sensing my uneasiness. I was never good with change. He already knows the drill since we've already done this two times already. The first was the graduation elementary school and going to middle school. The second, middle school graduation. Now, going to high school.
" We don't even have the same classes," I tell him and that's the part that stresses me out. He and I had always had the same classes through out middle school and elementary.
" Yea that sucks but hey we'll see each other during lunch and passing periods you know," he tells me. It takes him 2 minutes to calm my nerves down. After we got ready, we joined our mothers and siblings for breakfast. I hug my siblings and then mama.
" Thanks for breakfast, mama," I tell her as I ate my breakfast. After finishing breakfast, mom drove us to school.
" Bye babies," Mom says as we leave the care after giving her a goodbye hug and kiss to the cheek. God they were in high school. On days like this I was grateful to have a twin so I didn't have go through this alone. I smiled at Jamie who gave me the same identical smile as mine. He takes my hand before entering the school and said, " we got this."
After I finish my run, I went home to find mama also finishing her run as well. The sun was up by the time we had finished.
" Hey baby," She greets me, hugging me. " How was your run?" She asks kissing my head.
" It was good," I tell her. " I didn't know you went on a run if I had known I would have offered to run with you."
" Sorry hun, I wasn't sure if you were going to sleep in since its graduation day," She says.
" Yea, no chance," I tell her as we entered the house. " I needed to wolf up due to excitement."
" You know even though I've heard that term many times it still surprises me," Mama says. " Because you can actually turn into a wolf." I laugh at that.
" Yup, can I help you make breakfast?" I ask her. She raised an eyebrow in surprise.
" Really?" I nod my head.
" Okay since its your graduation day, what do you want for breakfast?" She asks.
" How about Blini and Komplet lepinja?" I say.
" Of course," She began to take out the ingredients for the two dishes. It took us about 1 hour.
" Go take a shower, you stink," Mama says. I roll my eyes at her.
" Thanks ma," I say kissing her cheek before going to my room. I take out my graduation outfit then went to the bathroom and showered. After showering, I threw on my graduation outfit and did my hair. I put little make-up on then I was all set.
" Aww my baby is graduating," Mom's voice greeted me when I went back downstair. She looks at me head to toe. Then turned to mama. " We did amazing with that one. Look at that gorgeous face of hers." I roll my eyes at her playful. Then Jamie came into my house with Uncle Steve and Bucky behind him. " Aww look at my handsome son." Jamie hugged our mother, and mom kissed his cheek while I greeted my uncles.
" Hi Uncle Steve, Uncle Buck," I greet them with a hug.
" Hi Lexie, wow you look gorgeous," Steve says. I smile at him.
" Thank you," I say. After eating the breakfast mama and I made, mom made us take various pictures. One of me and James. One with our siblings. One with Mama. One with her. One with Uncle Steve and Bucky and then one with everyone.
" Come on, we're gonna be late," Mama says hauling everyone into the car. My siblings are missing school for our graduation so they were happy about that. James and I parted from them when we spot our friends.
Jame's Point of View
I looked to the left, there I saw a huge crowd sitting on the bleachers. It was easy to spot the family thanks to my raven eyes. They were on the fifth and sixth row. With the Avengers being there and all. It kinda caused some excitements. To my right were the principals, guidance counselors and all the other school faculty. They didn’t look they wanted to be here. Most of them had grumpy faces, especially my science teacher, Mr. Llay. Of course, Lexie andI sat in front with our other honor students. Class of 2033. Lexie and I were the Valedictorian and Salutatorian. Lexie and I would be giving a speech. After the principal greeted everyone, we were asked to stand for our names to be called. I watched gleefully as Lexa’s name was called and she went on stage. Then my name was called. My principal presented me with my high school diploma. I walked across the stage, shaking hands with the school faculty. Soon enough, the ceremony was done and our family greeted us.
" You guys did!" Mom says hugging us. After taking many many pictures, our friends came up to us once our family left to give us space.
" You guys know the Avengers!" Emma says whose been our friend since freshmen year. " How do you know the Avengers?"
" Yea," Oliver says. " You've been holding us on us." They soon bombard us with questions.
" Guys one at a time," Lexie says. " Yes we know the Avengers. How? Because two of are my mothers and 3 of them are Jamie's parents."
" Holy shit your parents are the Avengers?" Ethan asks. " You guys are so lucky." Eh, we're lucky to have them as our parents but not so much with them being a superhero. I mean we love that our parents are superheroes but they risk of never coming back home to us on missions.
" Can we meet them?" Mia asks. There was always a reason of why none of our friends ever known that our parents are Avengers nor did they ever meet them. One of them is this but thankful since it's the last day of school Lex and I don't really care anymore that they would meet them.
" Sure, come on," I tell them walking towards the family.
" Hey dads, mom," I grab their attention. " There are a couple friends we'd like you guys to meet."
" Oh honey that's great, finally we get to meet your guys friends," Mom says. I just smile at her.
" Ok guys," I turn back to mine and Lex's friends. Lex left to go find her other mom. " This is my mom, Wanda Maximoff and my two dads, Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes." Mom extended her hands for them to shake. Then they were introduced to every Avenger that came to the graduation which is almost everyone. After Uncle Tony invited them to a party he was throwing in celebration of mine and Lex's graduation. Let's just say things were chaotic like always with this big dysfunctional yet happy family.
