Bully
Bully
It was a gloomy day, rain down pouring. The weather reflecting the way Billy was feeling. Ever since his powers manifested, he's been overstimulated by the thoughts around him. It was easier to control them when he's with his family. They know how to quiet their minds but when he's in school is overwhelming and his mom is still teaching him how to filter out other people's thoughts. It also doesn't help being an empath, it's much harder to control it than his telepathic ability. Tommy was currently talking to him as they walk to the campus until he was biding Billy goodbye once he saw his friends waiting for him. Don't leave me! Billy pleaded in his mind but never said it out-loud. He was kind of a loner, mostly kept to himself. He was introvert while Tommy was the extravert who has many friends, and popular. He observes the surrounding, seeing friends talking to each other under a cover to prevent getting wet. He didn't care much if he got wet or not, he rather actually enjoys the feeling the rain hitting his skin. He puts in his earphones, blocking the outside sounds. Stick Season by Noah Kahan playing as he walks in the rain. What's wrong with me? He asks himself. His mothers are the best moms in the world and he couldn't ask for better ones. His siblings are amazing and while they do get into petty arguments and banters, at the end of the day they would give up their life for each other. His extended family is wonderful as well. But sometimes he wonders what life would be like if he had normal mothers? Mothers who didn't matter to the world, mothers that the world didn't depend on to protect, mothers that weren't superheroes and were just normal people who had normal human regular jobs. He wonders what life would be like if his family wasn't so wide-world famous, where no one knew who his family is. Where he didn't have to live up to not one but two superhero legacies. He is one of the luckiest kids to have the Black Widow and the Scarlet Witch as his mothers. He's one of the most protected kids in the world. Yet there's a part of him that asks but what at cost? His mothers risk their life everyday saving the world, his family risk their life everyday to keep the world safe but is it worth it if it leaves the children of the Avengers orphans? He knows that he should be grateful for the life that he has, that he doesn't have to deal with poverty, that he is loved and wanted and he is, so grateful for having a family that loves and cherish him, but sometimes he wishes that his family weren't heroes.
“Look at what we have here. A dyke freak!” The sound of Carver's voice rings his ears as he felt his earphones be yanked off from his ears. Billy had to control himself to make sure that his powers didn't react. He didn't need to out who he truly was to the entire school. There's a reason why his mothers put him and his siblings to normal school, so that they could experience what a normal life would be like. Billy really didn't want to deal with Carver, who has been bullying him since 3rd grade, but it seems like he can never catch a break. Carver had also taken his phone along with his backpack from him. “ Did you do my homework?” Billy nods his head. Carver isn't the smartest on the block but he was popular for some reason. Probably the fact that his father is the principal of the school.
“Perfect,” Carver says. “ Now today since I'm feeling nice. What would you like?” He asks as if he was asking what kind of food and not the fact that he was asking what kind of beating he wants.
“How about none?” Billy says which was the wrong answer because he got a punch in the gut. He literally has the worst timing, like how could he manage to go to a secluded area where no one could see what's happening.
“Try again faggot,” Carver growls, grabbing a hold of his shirt and pinned him against the wall. “ Actually never mind. You've ruined my mood so I decide.” Carver punched him repeatedly before getting bored and decided to kick him until he was black and blue. “ Your parents should have killed you when you were in your mother's womb.” A kick to the legs. “ No one will ever love you, you freak.” A punch to the stomach. “ You are an abomination in this world that needs to be rid of.” A hard kick to the ribs. Once Carver had let go of his shirt, he fell down on the ground. Carver kept kicking the life out of him pouring all his anger, his aggression upon the Romanova-Maximoff boy. Billy could feel his powers wanting to act, to protect him from his attacker but his mothers words rang in his head. Never use your powers in school. So it took all his will power to control his powers. The last thing before his world turned black was the sick smile of Carver.
A teacher had stumble upon Billy's unconscious body. They picked up the soaking bloody beaten body of the boy and called 911.
“Hang on William, the ambulance will be here soon,” the teacher, Mrs. Blake says to the unconscious boy in her arms. They did their best to keep Billy warm who was on the verge of getting hypothermia. The ambulance had finally arrive taking Billy to the hospital with Mrs. Blake riding with them. She makes a phone call to the boy's parents but none of them had picked up so she decided to call the eldest sister, listed in the emergency contact.
[Blake]: Hello, is this Alexa Lehnsherr?
[Alexa]: This is she, who am I speaking to?
[Blake]: I'm a teacher at your brother's school
[Alexa]: Which brother?
[Blake]: Right sorry, uhm the youngest, William
[Alexa]: Is he okay? What happened?
[Blake]: Ma'am if you'd let me talk, I can answer those questions
[Alexa]: Right sorry, go on
[Blake]: I don't know exactly what happened but I had stumbled upon William's unconscious body. It seems that either he got into a fight and lost or someone had beaten him up near death
Blake wasn't sure if she heard right because she heard a growl on the other line that sounded a lot like a wolf.
[Alexa]: He's at hospital. Yes?
[Blake]: Yes. The NYU Langone Hospital
[Alexa]: Thank you
Alexa hangs up before calling out to R.O.M.A.N. (the AI, that Uncle Tony, created for them) to call Doctor Cho to get the med bay be prepared. There was no way that her brother will be treated in a human hospital. After getting that settled, she phones Nessa, filling her in. In seconds, Nessa appears in from of her.
“Do we know who did it?” Nessa asks. She shakes her head, frustrated that she doesn't even know who hurt their brother.
“We'll figure it out later but right now, teleport us to the NYU Langone Hospital. Then call mom and mama, tell them what happened, after get the rest of our siblings, we have a murder to commit,” Alexa says, eyes glowing gold before returning back to their normal blue color. They were absolutely murdering someone. No one gets to hurt their brother and get away with it unscathed. Nessa nods her head, grabbing a hold of her sister and teleports them right outside of Billy's hospital room.
“We're losing him!” They hear a doctor say before the could enter the room. Alexa could smell the panic in the room, could smell the blood of her brother, her eyes flashing gold in fear. Nessa could feel the walls closing in, close to a panic attack at sight of her baby brother. “ He's crashing bring the crash cart.” Nessa teleport herself and Alexa away before the doctors could see them, in panic. Her powers reacting to emotions, knowing that they would have been a distraction for the doctors or would have stood in the way because they were froze to their spot as they looked at the battered and bruised shape that their baby brother was in. She has no idea where she actually teleported them since her mind wasn't in the right mind space. She assuming her dark dimension, seeing as she feels herself more powerful.
“He's gonna die! He's dying! How is he dying?” She could hear Alexa mutter who was curl into a ball, rocking herself in a comforting manner. She, herself wasn't doing too well either. In the midst of their panic, somehow Alexa remember that she can heal people due to her 'werewolf' side. Her blood has healing property that can help everything. “ Ness, we need to go back.” Alexa tells her still panicking sister. It takes them a minute to compose themself before Nessa was able to teleport them back. They make sure that the cost is clear before enetering Billy's room. To see him strapped in so may wires, to see him basically on life-sport, it made their hearts lurch. It made him look so tiny. Alexa crossed the room in wolf speed to Billy's bedside.
“They will pay brother, I promise,” Alexa vows, placing her right hand on her brother's chest and her left on his head. A subtle hum filled the air, her eyes, once an ordinary hue, now emanated an ethereal, bright blue glow. The room itself held its breath as Alexa channeled her innate strength, the ethereal glow intensifying with each passing moment. It was the very essence of healing flowed through her fingertips, a force both delicate and potent. Alexa's touch became a conduit for rejuvenation, and as her powers surged forth, the blue glow enveloped Billy's form, casting a celestial aura that seemed to dance across his skin. With each passing second, the injuries that marred Billy's body began to fade away. The bruises disappeared, the scratches vanished, and the broken bones knit themselves back together. As Alexa withdrew her hands, the azure glow subsided. Billy lay before her, untouched by the ordeal he had endured moments ago. The only remnants of the healing spectacle were the lingering echoes of power in Alexa's eyes.
“Lexie?” the sound of her brother's voice relieved his sisters who pulled him into an emotional hug.
“We love you so much, Liam,” They both says, kissing each side of his head over and over, allowing his scent to engulf their sense of smell to calm their mind. Alexa honed her hearing to the strong beats of her brother's heart.
“Who did this to you?” Alexa asks, reeling in her anger back but barely. Nessa had teleported them to the med bay in the Avengers Compound where Doctor Cho was waiting for them. While Alexa was confident that her healing abilities healed Billy, she wanted to be sure that he was actually healed and nothing was wrong. Doctor Cho reassured her that Billy was in perfect health and that her healing ability healed him better than she could have but she did put Billy on bedrest for a week to give Alexa and Nessa a peace of mind knowing how much they take after their Scarlet Witch mother when it comes to worrying about their loved ones especially when their said loved ones were hurt.
“Lexie…” Billy says in a way that said that he didn't want to tell her.
“Liam, baby,” Alexa tries a different approach, instantly realizing that her brother is afraid of something. “ Are you getting bullied?” That's one of the possibility why her brother might be afraid to say anything. She wants him to say no, to tell her that it's not that but when he hesitates to answer her question, she knew. They're dead. She thought to herself. She's going to kill the person who dared to mess with her brother and nearly killing him.
“Lex?” Billy's voice snaps her out of her murderous thoughts. “ Your eyes are glowing.” There was no fear laced in his voice just worry.
“Sorry,” She apologizes. There was no need to lie to Billy about the fact that she was anger and so was her wolf. He would catch her on that lie. It's hard to lie to a telepath.
“Why didn't you tell us, honey?” Nessa asks softly, hand running through her baby brother's brown locks gently.
“Because..because I didn't want to be a burden,” Billy answers, “ he said that I was worthless and an abomination. Said that I should have died in the womb.” His eyes glaze with a distant look, a sign that he wasn't with them right now. It also sounded to rehearsed as if he'd said those line a million times to himself.
“Who is he? Liam,” Nessa ask, anger underlining her tone. Nessa rarely calls Billy, 'Liam'. It's more of Alexa's thing to call him that, preferring it over Billy. It's a special name that only them and their siblings use for Billy. It's an affectionate name for Billy that Nessa uses on rare occasion. Billy hesitates for a second before saying a name.
“Carver Marvik.”
There was no escaping the wrath of his siblings and he has just sealed Carver's fate.
The father of Carver Marvik is dead. He has died mysteriously. Carver Marvik ends up in the hospital, battered and bruise. He will stay in a coma for the rest of his life.
Billy knows that his siblings has something to do with the tragic of the Marviks but to the world no one would be none the wiser. The world will believe that Victor Marviks's death was the cause of a heart attack. When in the true is that the Romanova-Maximoff Quadruplet that had killed him. The world will believe that Carver Marvik had aggravated someone andgotten into a fight that he could not win. When in true is that Alexa had kidnapped the boy and let her 2nd youngest brother, Tommy beat the life out of Carver. She made sure that no traces could be led back to Tommy, making sure that he wore gloves that left no fingerprint on the person. She then had Nessa teleport Carver outside his own house and let him be found battered and bruise, on the verge of dying. Mirroring what he had done to Billy.
The Romanova-Maximoff siblings obviously got lectured by their mothers and all of their Avengers extended family members but they also knew that their family were proud of them despite knowing that the way the siblings handled it wasn't the best way to do it. But then again their family were all either former spies, enemies, agents, or assassins so it's what they know best. It's what makes them well them.
