Part 1
Y/N saw her old friend on the tv the other day, giving up the shield. She planned on sending him a message asking how he was. The two met while they were working as therapists for veterans with PTSD. She needed to check in on him after she saw the new Captain America. What was his name? James…Jacob, Josh…No, John Walker. The woman became lost in her swirling thoughts about her friend, and the latest “hero”, when she heard a knock on her door.
That was weird…she didn’t remember ordering any food.
Maybe she sleep ordered again.
She didn’t check the door before opening it, but as soon as she did she wished she would’ve.
“Sam…Mr. Barnes…what are you doing here?” She asked, wondering if her friend could somehow read her thoughts about checking up on him
“Y/N…we have a problem.”
’Oh shit’ she thought, was it Sam, or that John Walker guy? Was something wrong with Barnes…Y/N knew about his past, oh gosh she knew she couldn’t fight back that man-
“Here come in!” her tone of voice betraying her emotions
The two men politely came in as she noticed a third.
He was familiar, with a darker aura than the other two. Y/N tried to read the stranger quickly. His eyes looked focused, and his posture perfect, and wow did he look expensive. Sam broke her out of her spell.
“Hey Y/N, can I talk to you for a second”
The two went to the hallway.
“Hey, how are you” the smaller woman asked
“I’m-I’m alright, Y/N, I-we need some help. You need to be filled in on some things-first off, him” he said as he nodded towards the stranger
“Yeah…Sam, who is he?”
“You remember the UN…before the whole blip thing, with that guy that framed Barnes…”
’Oh shit’
“Sam, what are you talking about?”
“Hey, Barnes was the one who wanted him-”
“Sam, you brought a criminal to my house?”
“Y/N, he’s a master manipulator, and you’re the best therapist I know. No one else but you would be able to get into this guy’s mind. We can’t trust him, but you might be able to get him to talk.”
“You want me to manipulate the manipulator?”
“Hey! You said that, not me!” the man feigned hurt with a laugh
“Fine, I’ll help.”
