divorce part 2
N/A: Well, here is the second piece.
The small city is covered in Kozhu, a plant who is free of any color but green. The eerie scenario is out of a dream, perhaps that could be the joke of the day as Kitty has a hard time falling asleep.
So much so to the point, Kitty is wandering around the Kozhu city, smelling the scent, watching some goats gathering to eat the plant, and bracing herself as the weather is dropping considerably.
“The summer is almost leaving, it passed too fast this time,” the voice should have to jolt Kitty a bit, but truth to be told, she’s a bit relieved by its presence.
Looking to her right, there´s a corporeal presence of IT. “Oh, yeah...winter is around the corner, thankfully the Kozhu can resist the weather,” she takes a good glance at his presence and asks. “how many avatars do you have?”
LK contemplates this question, either out of mockery or he really thought no one would care about the number of avatars he has.
“I’ve more than enough,” his smile is full of teeth. His blue fur, his golden eyes should be scary, however, the man is so attractive. Either he’s reading her mind or Kitty is being too on the nose about her attraction to him.
“Can we have sex?” Kitty asked shamelessly.
“It wouldn´t be very professional, Katzchen” it’s not a never, per se, but kitty pouts and accepts the answer for now.
“Now, tell me something, why you brought this plant to your hometown?” LK asked as his eyes watch more goats coming together to eat the plants.
Kitty, for a moment stares at him, deep down, she knows this being KNOWS why she did that, however, Kitty has no problem in offering her side of the story. “ To protect my homunculus family, of course, would you do the same for your family?”
A stupid question to make to a chaotic being who is so malicious and cruel.
LK smirks at this question, of course, he would. “I’d not protect people,” his smile dies off as he stares so deeply into Kitty´s eyes, almost seeing her soul. “And I ...care for 3 things in my existence and there was a time I hurt one of those beings, not my proudest moment and something I regret forever,” LK concludes, looking so forlorn.
Kitty bites her lips. “I´m sorry,” and this makes the man/being snaps in her direction. His eyes are on her, all his eyes.
“Never apologize, it was never your fault,” he calms down a little, “it was and still is my fault, never yours”
Kitty changes the subject as the being next to her is getting agitated and...there´s this longing, sadness in her chest that may mirror his eyes.
“Anyway, I made the barrier of Kozhu to protect my family, many sorcerers and sorceress come to my hometown wanting to harvest on energy, their life force,” Kitty explained fully of ire.
LK watches her. Studies her carefully.
“Could have gone to me, I would have protected them ...for you,” LK speaks in such a soft and is so...familiar.
“I wanted to do on my terms, but, thank you” she meant every word and it was enough to make LK smile sincerely until he offer a smirk of his own.
“But...you understand the Kozhu is not enough to make people away, especially mages like Jimaine Szardos,” it’s a legit warning even though LK is being nonchalantly and smirking at the situation.
Kitty is mute for a moment as she points at the branch moving and then looks at LK. “ they exist to keep people from entering and leaving...” and LK can hear a faint scream from the abundance of green.
Trough it may be the wind, hard to tell, and is even harder to care if you´re so above mortals.
“They´re not humans...and yet, you still deem them worth to protect them,” LK seems jealous and Kitty can´t understand why. “anyway, how are things going for you? your life,” he chuckles at this line much to Kitty´s confusion, “ must be so confusing now,”
Kitty slowly nods her head. “Yeah, the X-Men completely vetted my presence with the New Mutants and the divorce seems to be messy and will get messier,” Kitty rubs her head and chuckles weakly. “still don´t regret my actions,”
LK regards her, then the scenario, more goats show up and Kitty has yet to know where those little fellows are popping up. “ Yeah, the divorce will be messy...and Piotr is dating his lawyer, Jennifer Walters, not the first time she has done something similar,”
Kitty looks bored. The goats are making goat-like sounds and the woman responds. “Ah, great, so he can sleep with a woman who he didn´t try to gaslight and manipulate? Fantastic...tell me, is she manipulating him?”
LK shakes his head. “I think is mutual lust,”
“Gross!” Kitty counter and is taken back by how LK is laughing as if she told the funniest joke on the planet.
“And to top all up, Piotr receives a huge sum of money...the mysterious rich uncle left him a real fortune,” LK begins and Kitty can see where this is going. “how much do you want to receive in your alimony?”
“I just want him to leave me alone,” she pauses and sighs. “ But you want to take any penny he may have, which go forward, my only request here is...please don´t leave him homeless, Yana don´t deserve any of this,”
LK narrow his eyes. “Yous till care for Illyana Rasputin?”
“Never stop caring for her,” Kitty responds and LK´s eyes change a little, it resembles a cat-like, even if you ignore the crimson swimming in his eyes.
“Then, I shall do it, for you.”
“Thank you,”
The courting room is not as glamourous as Kitty was hoping for, in fact, it was depressing. Piotr is really embracing the new lifestyle with gusto.
Jennifer Walters is not hiding who her new paramour is and Kitty couldn´t care less.
The setting for divorce for cheating is not glamorous, it’s sad, and the blame goes only for Kitty Pryde, which is taken with a big smile if it means Piotr will leave her alone.
Jennifer Walters spares no punches, in or out of the courtroom. “I´m here to represent my client Piotr Rasputin, the grounds for the divorce on his soon-to-be ex-wife is cheating.” Jennifer Walter starts the conversation not phased by the fact her opponent is a handsome man with blue fur.
Kitty stares at Dr. Wagner in awe. He looks so refined, poison and so...regal.
He could have been a great Pharaoh...Even if he would still be evil.
Kitty arch an eyebrow and gently shakes her head. She doubts he didn´t listen to that thought.
“Of course, so if we must keep the cards on the table, then my client also has more rights than your client, let’s see...Pete Wisdom ring any bell?” LK asked amused.
Piotr pales a little, and Jennifer is confused.
Piotr goes on a tirade about how Kitty must probably sleep with Pete Wisdom.
LK is patiently listening to the tale of a desperate man, while Kitty is nervously and anxious-all the possibilities in her mind are grim, what if Piotr tries to attack LK? Sure, LK wins but the consequences can be deadly- until, finally the Russian man stops berating and pointing fingers at Kitty.
LK is still calm.
“Great explanation and I´m sure cheating is a capital sin for you, but I think murder score high on the list,” noticing his confusion LK carried on with a big grin on his face. “Well, your client bash Pete Wisdom’s head, and the man was presumed dead for 3 minutes,”
Piotr is speaking nonsense and Jennifer told him to shut up.
“Pete Wisdom is alive and well!”
“Yes, but only thanks to Gloriana´s magic, otherwise, he would have been dead...his body would have been eating by worms now, “ the air changes, and LK is still smiling.
Piotr blames Kitty, saying she manipulates him.
“What a feeble defense and excuse, are you saying a teenage girl manipulates your, a growing up, to murder? seems a weird flex to have,” LK shrugs and Kitty snorted.
“But she...is so manipulative, tell to everyone what you made me do it when the Shiars were here!” Piotr ordered angrily not minding Jennifer´s advice.
Kitty looks up to LK who only smiles." Then you must tell us which time are you referring, the first time the Shiars were here Kitty had 13 years old, and you were making sexual advances on a minor, the Shiars may have forgiven whatever you did, and...but I doubt people will forgive if they find out what you were saying to a minor, plus, the X-Men were endorsing a problematic relationship!"
Jennifer asks a minute in private to talk with her client. Kitty watches amazed as the scene if folding in her favor.
The alimony is settled and Piotr is not homeless.
“Kiss me?” Kitty asked once they are off the courtroom.
“You´re always thinking about me, that’s enough for me,”
“But not for me, are you that cruel to never let me kiss you but continue to pull me closer?”
LK caresses her face. “If I kiss you, you’ll want more...”
“And?”
LK kisses her gently. It was just a kiss, but it was as well...so familiar.
