chapter 8

N/A: Galaticus and Zaorva having an adventure.

“So, tell again, why we´re here,” Zaorva asked almost floating, she can get away with such a break of her “character”, so to speak, since in this universe people can fly and do much of other impossible things, however, be mindful with which team you select.

Avengers and X-Men are a hot topic. Either they are loved or hated.

Galaticus is using his best impression of humans and is now a version of Elvis Presley, without the charism or the talent to hold a guitar, who is glaring at the Foundation Tower.

“I want to understand something,” Galaticus speaks in an ancient tone, no one noticed because a large group of people paying attention to the street performance.

Courtesy of Zaorva who understands humanity and knows they are too curious for their own good sometimes.

“Gal,” she speaks in a warning tone and her message is loud and clear.

Galaticus clears his throat and speaks again, this time his voice is more humane. “I want to understand who is Frank Richards, that boy keeps babbling in Dreamlands that ...” he groans and opens and closes his fists, “make me his toy,”

Zaorva looks to the sides, “hum....”

“Not a sexual toy, a literal toy,”

“Oh, that’s still weird, but ok, I can help you...” Zaorva looks at the Foundation Tower.

“Hum, first tell me all you know about the first mutant family,” Zaorva asked, floating a little, nothing unusual, as many people can float here.

Galaticus sighs and looks chastised. “I don´t know much, what I know comes either my limited experience with them or your husband’s word, and you know...I hate him,” Galaticus speak a bit childishly for her like.

Which to be fair, LK has the same tone when he speaks about Galaticus.

“Well, what I know about them is how...they represent the sin,” Galaticus states in a deep voice.

“Galaticus, that says nothing!”

“I know!”

Sue Storm is used to interviews and has enough people skills to know what to answer, how to answer, and what to not answer, so, when this young reporter Kitty Pryde enters her study room to make an interview for the Gazette of the future, Sue Storm knows what to do and say.

Kitty has a big smile on her face, a petite woman who looks too harmless.

Too harmless, the possibility of her being sent by Doom or any other villain is never out on the table.

“Miss Pryde, nice to meet you,” Sue is polite as she tries to assert the situation.

Kitty shakes her hand and beams happily. “likewise, oh, this is my assistant, Gal,” the man is carrying a photography camera, one pro, but refuses to say anything. “He’s shy,”

And Kitty then speaks private information. “He’d not speak English very well,so please, don´t be offended if he doesn´t speak much,” Sue nods but the heroine didn´t survive this long and thrive on this field if she takes everything at face value.

She reads his mind and is surprised to see he’s only talking in Russian.

Huh, who is LK and I get the sense someone was laughing...

Sue had the feeling her nose is bleeding but when Kitty touches her shoulder again, mentioned something about photos, Sue’s nose is clean as ever.

Gal just rolls his eyes and speaks in Russian for the first time.

The interview begins with Sue’s achievements, a scientist of her caliber didn´t get where she lands without facing some sexism here and there, Kitty seems fascinated by her theories of reproduction and cloning.

Then the interview makes a jump about the marriage between her and Dr. Reeds. Two Drs in this team, Ben is their astronaut and Jonnhy is their driver- and man child- then, of course, the conversation shifted to children.

“When I had Valerie...”

“Ah, but Frank is your first child, can you tell me more about that?”

Sue pale a little.

“Well, me and Reeds weren´t planning a child so soon, you know, it happens and we couldn´t be happier,” Sue amends quickly, “we love our son very much...”

“The pregnancy was hard or too fast? Oh, forgive me, I made an interview with Jean Grey, she revealed about Natalia and Rachel’s birth,” Kitty confessed and this makes Sue gasp and stare at Kitty´s kind eyes.

“Jean confessed that?” There’s skepticism and hope in her voice.

“She told me about the dessert and the fire, if that’s what you´re wondering,” Kitty replies with a certain reverie.

Sue nods sagely. “The Pheonix, you didn´t want to post that part on the Gazeta, or you did?”

There’s fear and Galaticus can sense, and he almost chuckles. Almost.

Kitty shakes her head. “Never is wise to pick a fight with Pheonix,” foreboding words that Sue can get behind.

Galaticus snorts at that. Kitty shoots him a look, and the man remains stoic.

“I don´t want any media to know this part of the story if you post...I´ll sue you,”

“I have no interest for sues, all I want is the truth, there´s nothing forcing you to tell me, but, I can see you want to confess whatever happened, plus, think this way, you win in this scenario,” Kitty said with an easy attitude.

“What?”

“You want to confess whatever happened, and clean your soul, if I tell anyone or I´ll be deemed crazy or untrusty or will get a big fine from you and I´m not swimming in money,” Kitty shrugs and to prove her point she even shows her wallet.

“I´ll only receive my payment tomorrow, so, really, I can´t afford a lawyer,” Kitty promised.

Sue Storm stares at Kitty for a long moment.

“Ok, so, of the records...it all starts 10 years ago, I was too young and I star having nightmares, if I can call about a boy,”

Galaticus is out of the Future Foundation, and Zaorva is walking next to him. “So, now we know how Frank came to be,” Zaorva states amused.

“I´m impressed by how you manipulate the situation, but, now I´m pissed, so that’s why the kid thinks I´m a toy?!”

“I suppose so, he’s just a powerful mutant, sure, but still human,”

“I really hate your husband,”

“Not the first time I heard that,”
