Chapter 4
N/A: The Outer Family break the laws and now...only Zaorva is clean of any misdeeds and will have to punish the others, that is ironic.
“So...is this serious?” Zaorva asked, resting one of her faces in her hand/tentacle as Galaticus just conclude, as serious as ever, the explanation for why they all summoned her in such...fashion. “Everyone here broke a sacred law and I have to punish all of you? Is this ...a prank?”
Pheonix shakes her head. The firebird has blood in its human-like form. “No, sister, we did many unpleasant things, and truly, we meddle like you usually do,” if that’s a shade to Zaorva´s criminal record, well, the Celestial mother doesn´t care.
Death is the one to speak in her death-like tone. “We cause creation and destruction in an immeasurable scale, the balance is broken”
Zaorva narrows her eyes. Her mask has two heads. And all her 4 eyes are showing her conflicting emotions.
“Ok, I know you would prank with that,” Zaorva states ignoring the indignation of Pheonix.
She stares at LK.
He stares back at her too amused.
“Well, to make Carter fall in Dreamlands´s disappear...I had to break a few rules...” he smiles, showing his fangs. He smiles victoriously.
Zaorva stares back at Galaticus. “And where I was when you 4 went “let’s break the rules”?"
LK is the one to giggle and reply. “In the garden, playing with all your dogs, all of them,”
Zaorva pouts. Truly, she spends her eternity in that garden teaching the puppies all facts of life. “I see, this is really, really ironic, you all know this, right?”
Galaticus sighs. “Yeah, normally, you are on the other side...”
LK chuckles interjecting. “Your criminal file is still bigger than ours,” murmurings of appreciation of this line are heard.
“I´ll use the stander punishment to all of you, even you Death,” She looks apologetic. Death shrugs as if is no big deal.
“You all will be a human, love,” Zaorva states, and LK rolls his eyes and just said the crime was worthy.
Galaticus and Pheonix are ok in being human.
“In that case, when your human spam ends, we´ll see each other again,” Zaorva promise as they all close their eyes.
4 children are holding each other hands shivering and hurdling for warmth. The taller kid is gesturing the others to follow as his eyes located a cabin with clear signals of fire, warmth, and maybe a nice meal.
The others follow along with eyes half-shut. The winter is proving to be unmerciful and 4 children aren´t important for such unfriendly weather. The taller boy knocks on the door, praying under his lips, praying for a miracle, and the door opens to reveal a beautiful woman.
A woman with long and curly chestnut hair, wearing an apron above her winter dress and look at the distressed children and waste no time in letting them in.
“The winter is unmerciful, poor children,” she coos at them, showing pity and care. “Go warm next to the fire, go-go,” she instructed them.
One boy watches at her with a cold stare, calculative, measuring her. After all, good people didn´t help them before? His golden eyes are on her form. Is she a witch? Will she kill them?
“Oh, stop looking at me like that, I´m not a witch...and I don´t eat children, and yes, you´re muttering the last part,” she explained sweetly as she lifts her fingers and proceeds to the magical way new clothes for the kids.
“Thank you, no one would...” He gulps if this woman is ignorant of their lineage better play safe. “Open the door for us, in this weather, so thank you, Miss...”
The woman waves her hand, dismissing the formalities. “Oh, I´m too old to be a Miss, but, thank you, my name is Kitty Pryde... and you 4?”
The taller one speaks first. “My name is Antony.”
The girl with black hair and dark eyes follows the lead. “My name is Rose”
The one with red hair reveals her name. “Rachel,”
And last, the one with golden eyes stares at the witch for a long minute. “Kurt,”
Kitty opens a friendly smile and hands them the warm clothes and indicates the place where they can change. She promises they can stay till the winter is gone.
She didn´t make any more questions.
Kurt stares at the woman as if trying to see a hidden clue of her intentions.
All his dreams always point to a woman with chestnut hair, but none of them make any sense to Kurt. Having discovered nothing, Kurt turns his attention away.
Zaorva watches them leave as they will put something warm. Zaorva prepares some tea and states calmly. “Welcome to Narnia guys, the winter here is a bitch,” and chuckles amused to herself.
