ARC 1: KING OF THE MONSTERS
One moment, he collapsed when Rogers left him behind. The rage and hatred consuming him as his eyes closed.
He didn’t know when he would wake up, or if he would be able to even do that.
If he did, he expected to be in critical condition in a hospital, or worst, kidnapped by Hydra or someone meoharious.
But he never expected to wake up in....a nice living room.
“What the ?”
He was in a bed. Full of blankets and there was a glass with some transparent liquid. It looks like water but....he doesn’t trust it.
“That’s just water. “ a sudden voice said. It’s a woman, with clear Russian accent. “If I wanted you dead. I would just have left you freeze.”
She came out form another room. She’s blond, a bit younger than him, and he could see she’s clearly trained.
“Coffee ?” She asked.
“Eh....”
“Hey the mug is hot so please answer.”
“Excuse me who are you ?”
“Oh don’t trust strangers. Good point.”
She placed the mug on the table. “Heard you don’t like being handled things. So here you go.”
Did..did this stranger did what no one on the team but Bruce, Thor, and Vision we’re unable to do.
It really speaks of how the team treated him. How did he fell for their abuse for so long ?
“I’m Yelena.” She introduces herself. “Yelena Belova.”
She looked at him as if that name was supposed to ring something to him.
“Yelena...well I’m Tony.”
“Seriously ! She never spoke about me ?”
“I’m sorry who ?”
“Natasha Romanoff. Though honestly why am surprised.”
“Wait what’s your relationship with Romanoff ?”
“We were raised together. She’s my sister.”
“Romanoff has a sister ?” Holly shit. He didn’t see that one coming. For someone who said she had nothing...
“Ah it’s not like she cares for me that much. I mean, who do you think they punished in the Red Room once she escaped.” She said bitterly.
Tony couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. Dealing with the aftermath of the other’s actions. He knows that well. Hell he knows how it is to feel Romanoff’s choices, while she runs away.
Wait a sec....this is a Black Widow ! Which means...
“I can see it on your face. Worry not Dr. Stark. I’m not with the Red Room anymore. In fact, spend much of my time destroying it.”
“Oh. Well first of all. Thank you for saving me....but why ?”
“Well my boss wants to talk to you. And don’t worry. I had no plans to infiltrate or do something weird. I had spent 7 hours on the Stark line, getting an appointment. But then my boss got the news you needed extraction so I came.”
“Your boss. Excuse me, who is your boss.”
“I thought you knew him. Dr. Ishiro Serizawa.”
“Dad’s best friend.” He whispered. He knew of the man. There was no person outside his family, that Howard Stark trusted more than Dr. Serizawa.
“Yep. He almost had a heart attack after the airport fight.”
“Heh. He almost never let me forget that since the Iron Man announcement. Haven’t spoken to him since Sokovia.”
“That conference was pretty badass if you ask me.”
“Heh. You’re sure different from Romanoff. How come you ended job working for him ?”
“He’s the one that saved me from the Red Room. I was sent to assassinate him. But instead of running like the others. He for some reason stayed until I got closer. When I did, he used some blue liquid on me, and I...was free. After so many years I...was free. I owned him my freedom but he didn’t accept me pledging myself to him. You’re a free woman he said, now do what you want. But I still wanted to work for him. So we made a deal. I would help him on his endeavors. And in return, he’s helping me dismantle the Red Room.”
“Huh....wait a sec. Serizawa hired you...,you work for MONARCH then.”
“Bullseye. Hard to think why a former Black Widow would fit in there, but someone has to make sure the stolen documents get back.”
“And seeing that he sent you. I believe he wants to see me..”
“Correct again. I’m sure you know of the Titans.”
“Barely. Dad said he would tell me everything when the time came, died before he could do it.”
“Well let’s just say MONARCH’s star just showed up again after so long and the good old Doctor wants your help to find him.”
“Who are we talking about.”
“Godzilla.”
“Of course.” Tony knew about Godzilla. He’s father never shutted up about him. Like he did with Captain America.
There was a difference thought. Unlike Rogers, whenever Howard talked about Godzilla. Never did Tony feel rage or jealousy. He was in fact always interested when he put the topic. Howard also made sure Tony knew he wasn’t comparing him.
Howard wanted them to be equals with Godzilla. But at the same time, he made it clear who’s the king.
“This is Godzilla’s world Tony.” He used to say. “We’re just living in it.”
“Why did the King show up after so long ?”
“Who knows. He just made a SHIELD or Hydra, What’s the difference ? base explode. It was abandoned so no one outside MONARCH saw it. Serizawa knows more details, he’ll debrief you in base.”
“Wait hold on. We’re going to MONARCH.”
“I mean I can’t force you. I’m no scientist but that suit, even damaged, would turn me to ashes. And I’ve just been free for four months so I want to live....or die in a very cool way at least. So it’s your choice.”
Tony considered his options. He had to go. If Godzilla is out there again....he better make dam sure certain parties stayed the hell away.
“I need to make some calls.”
“Your phone is right there. Take as long as you need.”
Shit....is this really Romanoff’s sister. Why did he had to deal with her when she had this wonderful sister instead. SHIELD clearly chose the wrong Black Widow. Or better said, they chose the one that suited them the most.
Meanwhile in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Godzilla there dead male MUTO to the ocean, it sank to the depths.
The female growled and attacked her attacker, but it was no use.
With a defining roar, Godzilla grabbed the MUTO by the neck and held her straight.
“You shouldn’t have done that.”
“Fuck you....King.”
“You chose to attack innocents. Destroy nature’s balance. I’m just doing the job.”
He held her mouth open and threw his atomic breath and fired in her mouth.
The MUTO fell dead on the ocean.
Godzilla puffed and looked to the sky.
They were waking up. All of them.
He can only hope she does as well. This might be a tad to big for him.
Not only that.....they have to find their son.
Tony and Yelena were in a jet towards the MONARCH base.
He had spent a lot of time thinking of who to call. Rhodey was still in a coma. He and Pepper aren’t in speaking terms. Vision is in no good state right now, and Bruce is MIA. That’s all the people he trusts with his location. Sure there’s also Happy but he could be at risk. So he ended up patching FRIDAY with him and bringing her for the ride.
Besides maybe the world could use a break from Tony Stark. He surely needs one from the world.
“So you have and advanced voice on your phone that knows everything. That’s so cool.”
“Trust me FRIDAY is happy to hear that.”
“She’s my favorite of the sisters boss.”
“Ha !....first time anyone says me that.”
“Hey got a question. Last time I spoke to the Dr. He only knew of Godzilla. Has he found more ?”
“Titans.....there’s currently 17. And counting.”
“17 !....oh fuck.”
“Yeah and the best part. We don’t know who is friend...and who is foe.”
Just then the jet bipped.
“We are here.” She said. “Prepare for landing.”
The jet went and landed on the plataform. In a base...in the middle of the ocean.
And on the platform stood Ishiro Serizawa.
“Welcome to MONARCH.” Yelena said.
Loki was out of time.
He thought he wonder have enough time with Odín gone. But the bastard had done more than enough damage.
Thor would return soon. Loki has been thinking of just telling him. Since his last visit to Earth, he has seen the change in his brother. Loki likes that change.
But he can’t take no risks. Not with him.
Thanos is coming. And their out of time.
