Don't Blame Me

In the darkest little paradise

Shaking, pacin', I just need you

For you, I would cross the line

I would waste my time

I would lose my mind

It was a sunday afternoon and after a day filled with running errands Maya and Carina find themselves in the park. The park was quiet, the trees rustling gently in the breeze. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm, golden light over everything. Maya glances towards Carina to find her already looking at her eyes filled with love and adoration, something she hadn’t seen in a while it made her heart skip a beat.

"You know I always thought that I wasn't made to love and be loved," Maya says, her voice soft and vulnerable.

"I just always felt like something was wrong with me," she continues voice trembling a little. "Like I wasn't good enough, or that I was too broken to ever really love someone."

Carina reaches over and takes Maya’s hand, her touch sending shivers down the blonde's spine. "What changed?" she asked, her voice gentle and full of compassion.

“You did” Maya responds voice thick with emotion. "When I met you, something shifted inside of me. I realized that I am capable of love and being loved, and that maybe all this while I’ve just been waiting for you.

“Remember when I bought you lasagne when we first started seeing each other?” Carina questions.

“When I was being a complete asshole to this beautiful woman who had gotten me the best lasagna I’ve ever had” Maya teases “hard to forget babe” earning a chuckle from the Italian.

“Si I was ready to walk out that door but then you stopped me and you looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes and I could see a storm ragging in there and I couldn’t leave.” Carina says, shaking her head at the memory.

“I was Maya monogamy is for the weak Bishop and then you waltzed into my life and there was something about you that had my heart begging my brain to let you in.” Maya chuckles in disbelief thinking of her younger self. “I’m glad I let you in,” Maya says softly.

“I’m glad you let me in bella” Carina says as she takes both of their hands and brings them up to her lips, kissing them gently.

From the moment they locked eyes at Joe’s, Maya knew that there was something special about Carina. She was magnetic, drawing her in with her charming smile and infectious laughter. And as they began to spend more time together, she found herself becoming addicted to her. It wasn't just that she made her feel happy and alive. It was that being with her gave her a rush like nothing she had ever experienced before.

Maya glances over and takes in her wife, her heart beating faster with each passing second. She couldn't help but feel an overwhelming love for her wife. "You saved me. You saved me from my demons." she mumbles nervously.

Carina slowly turns towards eyes filled with warmth and love. "I didn't save you," she said. "You saved yourself bambina. I just helped you along the way." she replies leaning in and kissing her softly, their lips meeting in a sweet and tender embrace. As they pulled away, Carina snuggled closer to Maya as they sat in silence just enjoying each other's company and the beauty of the setting sun.

But Maya knew, without Carina's love and support, she never would have been able to pull herself out of the darkness. She was her lifeline, her rock and she would always be grateful for her.

As she looked back on her life, she realized that something was missing. She had been so focused on her career that she had neglected the things that truly mattered - her own happiness.

And then she met her. Carina was a breath of fresh air, with a warmth and a kindness that lit up her world. They fell in love, and soon she realized that life with her was so much better than anything she had ever known.

With her by his side, she discovered the joy of simple things - a walk in the park, a home-cooked meal, a lazy Sunday morning in bed. She learned to appreciate the beauty of nature, the value of quality time, and the power of love.

Life with her was a gift, and she was going to treasure every moment they shared. She realized that success and money were important, but they paled in comparison to the love and happiness she found with her.

Taking a deep breath, inhaling the crisp air, she felt a sense of gratitude wash over her. Life was far from perfect, but with Carina by her side, she felt like she had everything she could ever need.

I get so high, oh

Every time you're, every time you're lovin' me

You're lovin' me

Oh, Lord, save me, my drug is my baby

I'll be usin' for the rest of my life
