Prologue
Skull Island. 1998.
Loki rushed threw the woods. They had to escape.
That thing was chasing them.
To think that he was on this place, all because he decided to cut Sif's hair while she was sleeping. But to be fair, she deserved it. Sif was such a.......annoying pest.
"James !"
James. That's the name he had given himself when he arrived here. He couldn't let anyone know that he was Loki. Odin's rule.
Loki turned to the person calling him. Nick Fury
The man was gasping for air as he finished running.
"For fuck's sake. How are you so fast ?"
"Getting tired Nicky ?"
A woman came to join them. Carol Danvers. She was an interesting one to Loki. So powerful, so strange.
"Fuck you Danvers. Unlike you, we can't fly." He sighted. "James here, is special. He runs so fast. Are you sure you aren't enchanced ?"
"Heh. My only power is my survivability Agent Fury."
"Well we agree on that."
"GRWOAR !"
"It's coming !" A SHIELD agent yelled.
"Shit." Carol said, trying to fight that thing again.
"Danvers, those things are too powerful for you. I can't believe I said that."
"FUCK !" Danvers yelled as she was thrown away by the thing's tail.
And then, it came from the woods.
"SKULLCRALWER !"
The Skullcralwer came running towards them.
Loki already secretly tried using his magic at the beast. But it did nothing.
Whatever this creatures are. They are stronger than an Asgardian royal. Who knew that Midgard could hold things so powerful.
Odin would go nuts if he ever learns of those things.
Specially since he is sure this ones, aren't at the top.
Speaking of....
"GWROAR !"
A giant ape came in and rushed into the battle, grabbing the Skullcrawler.
"There he is." Fury mumbled.
"Kong."
Kong smashed the creature into the ground, and pounded his chest.
Loki was frozen, staring at the monster.
'"JAMES, WATCH OUT !" Danvers yelled.
Suddenly, and explosion sent Loki flying.
The last thing he heard was Kong's roar as he fell..,
"GAH !" Loki woke up from his nightmare.
He was in a small room, safe.
No Odin, no Sif....no Skullcralwer.
Yet...
PRESENT DAY, SKULL ISLAND.
Loki never thought he would return to Skull Island. But he had to escape alone. Asgard and Thor didn't need him. Not when his brother had finally changed for the better, and became the King that he should be.
So Loki faked that he didn't escape Asgard in time. That the explosion got him. And left silently to the island.
He created a new identity for himself. James Conard Jr. The son of the man he disguised himself the first time. And came back to Skull Island.
But it had changed so much.
A ström had come in and wrecked everything. Most Skullcralwers are dead. As well as almost all the natives. Only a female child survived.
And it's thanks to the ape that Loki has thought of so much since those days on his first journey.
"James." A voice said, distracting him from his thoughts.
"Dr. Andrews." He greeted her. "What is it ?"
"We got..another damage to the dome."
The dome. The only think keeping Kong alive.
"I see....we really need to consider moving him."
"You know we can't. The island is the one thing that keeps him isolated. He goes out, Godzilla will come for him. It would be a death sentence."
"How do you know this Godzilla is real."
"In a world were we know of the Amazons, Asgardians, and with evidence Atlantis is real, you know that it's most likely. There is enough evidence to proof that."
"Hm."
"We need to find another way."
She walked away, while Loki looked at the coming Kong.
"Is it possible that the King can be defeated ?"
"By another King ? It could happen."
